@@Dr_Abdo_Ahmed I guess I see where your coming from but lol, screaming "God level" implies Light had an inconceivable amount of power, when in reality the deathnote just gives the user a method of killing individuals who's name and face you know and aswell as manipulating their actions before death. And the manipulation aspect of the Deathnote isn't as broken as you think, there's rules in it that nerf its manipulation like... People not being able to be manipulated into doing things they wouldn't otherwise normally do, aswell as anything that is physically and logically impossible, aswell as doing any actions that would lead to the death of others. If you think about this this nerf is significant, means light can't just manipulate Matsuda to kill L or something. Light even thought of doing something like this in part 2 of Deathnote but trashed that whole line of thinking because of the reasons I stated earlier. The Deathnote doesn't make Light an Omnipotent God, capable of insta-killing anyone he pleases like you imply. It's actually comparable to a sniper irl, if you actually think about it lol. Light still had to come up with the strategies, plans and avoid L's traps to win, not to mention he had to make sure Misa didn't get herself aswell as himself caught, which is another nerf he got. Do you still think it was unfair, even after you contrast this to L's vast Funds and resources, authority over the FBI, Interpol and multiple Police forces, even in different countries. Aswell as Watari, don't forget Watari 😭🙏. No joke Watari is cracked asf.
@@HiroTheAnointed Misa is nerf?!! Yes, she was truly stupid, but man aren't (most) of L's associates stupid, too. At least Misa isn't as stupid as Matsuda😂. (I'm just joking here) To be serious, actually, without Misa and her so loyal emotion-controlled shinigami, Light wouldn't have been able to kill L at all due to his own restriction not to use the eyes. And yes, when you talk about superpower like that, even if restricted by rules, but still beyond human realization. all humans are nothing against this hidden illogical power, especially with eyes that enable you to see their names. I agree with you that L really has multiple resources, but it was clear that Rem's role is totally unfair. Even L's winning in the timeline of the Japanese movie adaptation, he didn't expect that Rem is going to do it, though because simply it's not logical at all. A god is emotionally manipulated by a human?!! I bet that Ryuk himself couldn't accept or realize that😅
To be honest. Once rem came I genuinely don’t know how L could ever win. Light essentially just had to make the connection for rem that “if L gets too close it hurts misa”. And rem does the rest. Which was not hard as misa is the second Kira. I feel like L had no way to win after this. L did amazing despite this, and outsmarted light several times. The only reason he wasn’t instantly killed was because of this brilliance, all while not knowing the rules of the game he was playing. So I can’t help but say L was smarter. There can’t really be a discussion about who wins without discussing this cheat code. I agree that light has shown far better feats of manipulation while l better feats of deduction. But 1. If a cheat code like rem was not there I’m convinced L would have won. 2. Ls intelligence was just more impressive to me, I often think imagine evil light was Kira, and good light was L who would win. Could he catch himself? I don’t think so, I don’t think he could even narrow it down to Japan, that requires an incredible amount of psychoanalysis that light never showed. He couldn’t get far at all I think. For me L >light
It is a very objective conclusion that L would have won without Rem. People view Misa as a liability, but her existence with another Death Note is what allowed Light to get away from the hole he himself dug. If we recap what happened until Misa appearence, L already had Light as his prime suspect. Lights actions didn't gave him much advantage at all. He basically created internal conflics that led multiple people to leave the investigations, but at what cost? Using police information helped L to reduce the whole Kanto region into people with connections to the japanese police. That triggered the FBI agents, that in turn led Light to kill them all and left the search basically to a couple of suspects. And what he had on L after those moves? He's nowhere close to get info on L. In the manga you can see so many little interactions between both and L was all over Light. And Light masterplan to fake his innocence came with a HUGE price: revealing the Death Note to the world. Lol, L was about to easily solve the case with a couple of hours after acquiring the Death Note. Then everything Mello and Near were able to achieve was because of the rumors of the existence of the note.
@@brenosulzbacher agreed. Another thing that is often not mentioned is that according to the rules, rem only dies if her act of killing someone prolongs the death of the one she loves. The fact that killing L at that moment killed rem means that if rem hadn’t killed L there misas life would have been cut short (L would have caught misa)
@@brenosulzbacher having Light as the prime suspect means nothing compared the the actions of misa. the entire reason that L COULD corner Light at that point was due to misa. unless you can explain how L would have won without misa?
@@bboywolf Dude, L simply went to Light and revealed himself, making it clear he was a huge suspect while also protecting himself from Light. If we use logic, all facts up until then pointed at least towards people that were investigated by the FBI agents. Oh, so you really think Light would be able to keep this facade for long beign constanly watched by L? At what point would he be able to use wires again, cameras again? The entire show have so many convenient windows for Light. - Going to the police in the exact 5-10 minute window of the day that Naomi went (Oh and maybe she could have left her phone number to the receptionists, huh?). - Like the FBI going to Japan without fake IDs (imagine Ray turning around in the subway "Penber is just an allias, you are under arrest"). - Light knowing about the cameras because of his tricks in the door, which implies that his mom never entered his room in the entire arc. - L not putting anybody to follow Light as soon as the second Kira talked about how he found Kira, implying he found it, but didn't made contact yet. He conveniently remembered to do so the exact day after Misa went to Light's house. - The fact that they took Misa into custody for beign the second Kira and L allowed Light to roam unsupervised for a couple of days even though he stated that Light was now their clear prime suspect and that he would want to bring him in too. Why not do it at the exact same time you captured Misa, since you didn't had any connection before between Light and Misa, but now you suddenly discovered that the girl beigns suspect of beign the second Kira knew Light. L could have simply asked for Light to go together, since he was already visiting the task force to "help". L didn't asked since when he knew her, nothing. And we know why: the story would simply end there, because there would be no time to elaborate a plan. And those are just the quick ones from the top of my head. Like I said, for how long would he be able to keep things, even if we deleted Misa? Light whole thing about getting close to the investigation was hoping he would find something about L or to get his trust. We know as a fact that L never trusted Light the whole story and that Light never came close to finding any clue about L past. Zero, nada. Meanwhile, L closed the gap very quickly. I mean, look at all those things that happened. They did because the story would be boring and would have to end. When people talk about to show and the story is to analyse the good points, but also the incosistencies. In a lot of those inconsistencies we can say they are believable, but extremely lucky, at least. Remove the conveniences of beign the protagonist and not beign able to lose, then think about how things could have unfolded.
L and Light were playing two different difficulty settings. Light simply required that L died, and not even by his own hand. L had to prove that Light was L to a judge. That's going to be a lot harder with all of the supernatural BS flying around. Light obviously "won" but I think calling him "smarter" than L requires something extra.
Light already started off at a disadvantage. he has no training, no experience, no access to money or information like L. that's the only way L could have a chance is if Light handicapped himself. but since we know he did handicap himself we can't brush it off because it was a mistake. it's like twisting your ankle and then acting like it didn't affect a game you play in
I actually disagree with who TRULY won, because neither actually won their game. Light was unable to get a name, L was unable to convict Light. Both of them set up things that would defeat the other.
@@godserena6059I would say Lights main goal was the get rid of L. His secondary goal was to get his name until he found a way to get rid of him without getting his name. So Light won but his means to win changed to win.
4th attempt Could L solve the Sadako Murders? Basically with the scenario from 1998’s Ringu (or Ring) could L A. Solve the case and deduce Sadako is an Onryō performing these supernatural killings B. Somehow figure out about the “you must copy the tape to avoid being killed” rule, which the investigators in the movie failed to find out about and got one of them killed L would effectively have infinite time to prep/investigate until he finds and watches the tape. Then he has only 7 days.
Realistically, if Ryuk didn't inform Light about the detective then L wins almost immediately. Also it was up to Ryuk a second time to find the cameras and such although light would have known there was tampering, but if the shinigami wasn't uncharacteristically helpful for those 2 events then light would have been exposed very early on since light would also have never known when the surveillance was removed.
@@CameronClark-rt7dm honestly if you think about it, light says he thinks they expected some cameras to be found. If he/his sister/his mother did find some (which is never explored) they'd have talked to each other about why there are random cameras since none of them were included to the plan. An ordinary person would likely remove the cameras and potentially call the police, so deliberately not mentioning to his little sister that there are cameras in places like her bedroom and bathroom is more suspicious than doing nothing in my opinion.
I first watched deathnote in 2022- from that time - i went through countless comparisons between lawliet and light - to find out was smarter, but no satisfying answer came out but here below is my study: When analyzing the intelligence and capabilities of L and Light Yagami from "Death Note," it's essential to consider various perspectives and contexts. Numerous outcomes and debates exist regarding who is superior, with some arguments favoring L and others Light. Additionally, the "Change the World" version of L (CTWL) is often considered the strongest, adding another layer of complexity. Raw Intelligence and Analytical Ability: L: L's skills in deduction, induction, reasoning, and his analytical prowess are exceptional. He operates with a high level of intuition and logical reasoning, often able to draw conclusions from minimal evidence. His ability to psychoanalyze and understand the mind of his opponents is unparalleled. Social Intelligence and Manipulation: Light Yagami: Light's strength lies in his ability to manipulate others and his understanding of social dynamics. He excels in strategic planning and using emotional intelligence to exploit people's weaknesses. His ability to create and execute long-term plans while staying steps ahead of his opponents showcases his strategic genius. Willpower and Determination: Light Yagami: Light’s relentless pursuit of his goals and willingness to take extreme measures to achieve them is a testament to his strong willpower. This drive often gives him an edge in high-stakes situations. Broader Perspective: In a broader perspective, both L and Light are geniuses in their respective domains. L excels in intellectual rigor and logical deduction, while Light excels in social manipulation and strategic planning. They represent two sides of intelligence that are not easily comparable because they function in different dimensions. Overall Conclusion: L is unmatched in raw intelligence, analytical skills, and psychoanalytical abilities. Light Yagami surpasses in social intelligence, manipulation, and strategic execution. If forced to choose one based on a broader perspective of intelligence, it might lean slightly toward L for his exceptional deductive skills and raw intellectual power. However, recognizing the multidimensional nature of intelligence, it's fair to acknowledge that both L and Light are geniuses in their own right, each excelling in different areas. This nuanced view respects the complexity of their characters and the diverse forms of intelligence they embody Spectrum of Intelligence Acknowledging the multidimensional nature of intelligence, both L and Light are geniuses in their own right. They excel in different areas, making a binary comparison inadequate. It's more accurate to view their capabilities on a spectrum: Near vs. Light Yagami: Light outsmarts Near, demonstrating a more considerable difference in their abilities. L vs. Light Yagami: Both have strengths that make them undefeatable in specific situations. L in analytical prowess and Light in social strategy. in the end it's more like saying - Python vs Rust (L vs Light ) - both are good for ML so a single answer cannot come but instead we need a spectrum but when it comes to Python vs C (L vs mello) - python takes upper hand because it has upper hand in ML

Hello Avent, I am your viewer from Turkey and your videos are great. I recently read the DEATH NOTE short stories manga and I was very confused because I wondered if there was a solution to the A-kira case. A-Who can solve the Kira case? Can you make a video about this or is it possible to solve it? Since my English is not good, I wrote it with the help of translation, I hope it is not wrong.
You know how L found out that he was in Japan the L Pember thing where it was only in his local area. Why didn’t he keep doing that to eventually where only light can see certain criminals names and if those criminals were killed then it’s proof.
Just starting to watch the video, but I want to share my thoughts before starting: L won. Both of them played well, but there is a key difference. L didn't care for his personal safety. Losing his life was not the same loss as it was to Light. To observe who won we would need to see what their goals were going into this. L wanted Kira caught and stop his killings. Light wanted to permanently change the world as the god of the new world. While Lights work turned on its head once he was gone, Ls goal was fullfilled, even if not by his own hand. L dying was losing a battle, not the war.
Guys you all should realise that the fact Rem died after writing L's name ,if light didn't use the cheat code of rem to kill L. L would have solved the kira case and then executed light and misa as first and second kira. Thus it killed rem and expanded misa's life span .

I always hated how L was really on the track, but than paranormal comes into play and it all goes to Hell (idk, pun intended?). He got everything correct, partially even the Death God involment, but than again, not knowing their world pretty much lost him the battle. Anyway, he is a Winner in my book
L is clearly smarter, he was so close to proving Kira's identity and he was sure of it, he just couldn't prove it. Being able to almost do it is an impressive feat because he was able to adapt to unknown magical forces, so he is playing at a disadvantage from the start. If they had equal knowledge about the magical forces at the start, L would've easily proven Light is Kira.
@@Evren_ My point is that has nothing to do with Light's intelligence. It was only about protecting Misa. And a supernatural advantage also has nothing to do with Light's intelligence.
@creativevisiongaming not really. His ability to manipulate the scenario to get rid of both L and Rem, his biggest threats. Sure, if Rem wasn't there, Light would've had less to work with, but thats an entirely different scenario, we don't know what would've happened. Both are vastly intelligent, but disregarding Light's manipulation of the situation is ridiculous.
@creativevisiongaming because Light told misa to start killing again. Light wanted rem to kill L. Rem tells Light that she'd kill anybody to protect misa Light tells Misa to start killing again, with the knowledge that L will begin catching on. Light knows that L closing in on Misa is a risk to her, therefore knowing Rem will kill L, and therefore die herself by extending Misa's life via saving her. All of this is shown in the show.
L is far smarter then Detective Runge from monster. That guy framed tenma without any logic. And alot of murders would have stopped if runge would have listened to tenma and then Johan would have been caught earlier ig. Im not sure if Johan would have been caught but the fact that he has an identity and a photograph all while studying in munich university.
Video is waaay to long! We all know L would’ve won without Rem. L was gonna check if the 13 day rule was real. If he didn’t have the rest of the team, he would’ve tested it immediately. Game over light!
I say in term of emotional manipulation and people skill Light would have won. L on the other hand would have won in intelligent and physical ability. Light did manipulate a death god into dying for him. L on the other hand drove Rem into that position. In the end light was the winner. Not for to long though. In the end L if it wasn't for the death god interference L really would have won. L have to figure out a set of rule that he didn't know about at all while Light abuse the loophole and connection he have.
My issue with this and fiction in general is it depends on what the writer wants characters to do. We can’t make analysis like they are real ppl actually competing. So the question who win is pointless. That said, my analysis would lean more on how the writer played things out like the chess game. Then L had all the pieces to win. He needs not announce (as it was in the anime) to everyone the thirteenth rule will be tested. He should pretend that L is in the clear until the rule got tested. One wouldn’t reveal the intention of a move during a chess game. Rather only to trick or trap the opponent. While it’s clearly an unfair game because Light can cheat by obtaining the eye to kill L. Instead he used REM because he has no problem using others to his benefit. So the author intentionally decide to lengthen the story . L must lose.
i think light already completed his goal to reduce crime by 70% he was like almost done with it he was just trying to hide his identity as kira still i think if we put ayno in death note light will destroy koji light is way smarter and physical strength is also insane
a Person has a noteBook and is able to kill people by writing a name in it. 1 hour to watch through. W analysis, bro. Will be watching through it.
thanks man
I would have said Light. L died and was unable to prove his case. Maybe Light had an unfair advantage but he was successful.
@l.pricetag.5207 you must have your literary comprehension stats set to zero because the author explained how it would have turned out if L didn't get killed. Even then, that's not a Light W. Just an L loss. If that other Shinigami wouldn't have been there that entire scene wouldn't have happened.
Equal advantage L had, authority over the FBI, Kirae task force, the international police and even had Millions of dollars and resources from Watari. How far could L have gone in the investigation without these?
@@HiroTheAnointed
In the end even if the whole world is facing him, it's still unfair. You're eventually talking about humans vs supernatural human (Not a simple supernatural power but GODlevel!!!) so calling that an equal advantage when the god level power is equal to what you've just mentioned (Impossible this is a joke actually). So Light's loss in the end is because of his ego and impulsiveness, he could've used the shinigami eyes but he refused because of his ego, and even if he won, that doesn't mean he's smarter because of what I've just mentioned. L did more than any human could do against a man with a god power.
@@HiroTheAnointed
Misa is nerf?!! Yes, she was truly stupid, but man aren't (most) of L's associates stupid, too. At least Misa isn't as stupid as Matsuda😂. (I'm just joking here)
To be serious, actually, without Misa and her so loyal emotion-controlled shinigami, Light wouldn't have been able to kill L at all due to his own restriction not to use the eyes.
For me L >light
woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Light already started off at a disadvantage. he has no training, no experience, no access to money or information like L. that's the only way L could have a chance is if Light handicapped himself. but since we know he did handicap himself we can't brush it off because it was a mistake. it's like twisting your ankle and then acting like it didn't affect a game you play in
He’s back and with an hour analysis? Another W for Avent!
Light won but still doesnt mean that L was a fool, light couldnt get rid of L.
Light didn’t win the battle of minds. rem killed L. Light didn’t even figure out L’s real identity while he was a live.
Great Analysis As Always.
😂
I’m confused. I’m 30 min in and this seems more like a recap than an analysis
I actually disagree with who TRULY won, because neither actually won their game. Light was unable to get a name, L was unable to convict Light. Both of them set up things that would defeat the other.
Light goal was to get rid of L whether he has name or not. Making him the winner
@@godserena6059I would say Lights main goal was the get rid of L. His secondary goal was to get his name until he found a way to get rid of him without getting his name. So Light won but his means to win changed to win.
@@godserena6059true but the mental battle at its core was getting the name vs proving guilty and neither won that battle.
4th attempt
Could L solve the Sadako Murders? Basically with the scenario from 1998’s Ringu (or Ring) could L
A. Solve the case and deduce Sadako is an Onryō performing these supernatural killings
B. Somehow figure out about the “you must copy the tape to avoid being killed” rule, which the investigators in the movie failed to find out about and got one of them killed
L would effectively have infinite time to prep/investigate until he finds and watches the tape.
I wish Light would have noticed this before Ryuk told him and Light is like I know.

Light vs L fight of wits 😊 video
L is the better detective. Light had more power
Team L. Obviously.
I first watched deathnote in 2022- from that time - i went through countless comparisons between lawliet and light - to find out was smarter, but no satisfying answer came out but here below is my study:
When analyzing the intelligence and capabilities of L and Light Yagami from "Death Note," it's essential to consider various perspectives and contexts. Numerous outcomes and debates exist regarding who is superior, with some arguments favoring L and others Light. Additionally, the "Change the World" version of L (CTWL) is often considered the strongest, adding another layer of complexity.
Raw Intelligence and Analytical Ability:
L: L's skills in deduction, induction, reasoning, and his analytical prowess are exceptional. He operates with a high level of intuition and logical reasoning, often able to draw conclusions from minimal evidence. His ability to psychoanalyze and understand the mind of his opponents is unparalleled.
Social Intelligence and Manipulation:
Light Yagami: Light's strength lies in his ability to manipulate others and his understanding of social dynamics. He excels in strategic planning and using emotional intelligence to exploit people's weaknesses. His ability to create and execute long-term plans while staying steps ahead of his opponents showcases his strategic genius.
Willpower and Determination:
Light Yagami: Light’s relentless pursuit of his goals and willingness to take extreme measures to achieve them is a testament to his strong willpower. This drive often gives him an edge in high-stakes situations.
Broader Perspective:
In a broader perspective, both L and Light are geniuses in their respective domains. L excels in intellectual rigor and logical deduction, while Light excels in social manipulation and strategic planning. They represent two sides of intelligence that are not easily comparable because they function in different dimensions.
Overall Conclusion:
L is unmatched in raw intelligence, analytical skills, and psychoanalytical abilities.
This nuanced view respects the complexity of their characters and the diverse forms of intelligence they embody
Spectrum of Intelligence
Acknowledging the multidimensional nature of intelligence, both L and Light are geniuses in their own right. They excel in different areas, making a binary comparison inadequate. It's more accurate to view their capabilities on a spectrum:
Near vs. Light Yagami: Light outsmarts Near, demonstrating a more considerable difference in their abilities.
L vs. Light Yagami: Both have strengths that make them undefeatable in specific situations. L in analytical prowess and Light in social strategy.
in the end it's more like saying - Python vs Rust (L vs Light ) - both are good for ML so a single answer cannot come but instead we need a spectrum
but when it comes to Python vs C (L vs mello) - python takes upper hand because it has upper hand in ML
Hannibal would be unstoppable with the death note
love this
i think L was smarter, and i just feel like he knew but wanted concrete evidence that light was kira. idk i think L like wins in a sense but Light technically won

From which nation u r avent?
Just starting to watch the video, but I want to share my thoughts before starting:
L won.

Great video and I agree with you also can you do the same for movies Light and CTW L?
Viedeo about the mentalist could be Juice
Guys you all should realise that the fact Rem died after writing L's name ,if light didn't use the cheat code of rem to kill L. L would have solved the kira case and then executed light and misa as first and second kira. Thus it killed rem and expanded misa's life span .
Btw can you please do a vid explaining “K” from L: change the world since I can find any info on the CTW timeline.
In fact, why don’t you explain the entirety or L: CTW

Both has an IQ of 211 according to google
@@Blazeinferno1000 Google's estimates aren't in any way satisfactory and so are the methods threreof. There isn't really detailed criterion for such estimation other than the chart I presented by 'Elliott Kelley', on quora, who funny enough is also a super genius.
If L wasn’t “restrained” by law and the police and had managed to catch Light unprepared, he would probably easily proved Light guilty.
He was right the whole time. Just hadn’t the means to prove it.

L lost, but he could have won by playing dirty using the death note. Kira didn’t mind playing dirty but he still lost. In the end they both lost eventually.

We know L lost cause he wanted to believe Light was his first equal friend. Its not who won, but who was allowed to win

Suggestion: can Mello catch Near, with Near being kira?
Yeah his assumptions were right and helped take down Kira in the end but his ass got sent to heaven so it’s a loss
Light only "won" because of Rem
well of course, he used what he had to his advantage.
intelligence is knowing how to leverage the scenario to your advantage
@@Evren_ My point is that has nothing to do with Light's intelligence. It was only about protecting Misa. And a supernatural advantage also has nothing to do with Light's intelligence.
@creativevisiongaming not really. His ability to manipulate the scenario to get rid of both L and Rem, his biggest threats.
Sure, if Rem wasn't there, Light would've had less to work with, but thats an entirely different scenario, we don't know what would've happened.
Both are vastly intelligent, but disregarding Light's manipulation of the situation is ridiculous.
@@Evren_ Rem wasn't manipulated. Rem probably would have killed L anyway even if Light was not involved
@creativevisiongaming because Light told misa to start killing again.
Light wanted rem to kill L.
Rem tells Light that she'd kill anybody to protect misa
Light tells Misa to start killing again, with the knowledge that L will begin catching on.
My question did ray pender touch the death note?
L vs ayanokoji bro ?
Ikr perfect Human vs. greatest Detective
Video is waaay to long! We all know L would’ve won without Rem. L was gonna check if the 13 day rule was real. If he didn’t have the rest of the team, he would’ve tested it immediately. Game over light!
I'd win
Make Souichi vs Baku
I disagree. The show shows that L had the slight edge.
God listening to this makes Light feel so much like a butt pull protagonist. It’s actually frustrating.
