I am an achitectural buff and spend hours on TV looking at houses from around the world but this home is the MOST BEAUTIFUL HOUSE I HAVE SEEN. I am an avid fan of Grand Designs UK , tiny homes et all but this home in my mind a masterpiece. I lived in a Kali temple in Trinidad for four years under strict Hindu practices. This was while living my 50 years living in the US. This building evoked so many memories of my many days shaping cocoanuts for offerings, gathering flowers, cleaning the floors but your structure is one of a kind as though all the Gods came down in your head and gave you the inspiration to construct this building. There is more to this building that meets the eyes. I do home remodelling on the side as well. May Lord Rama and Shri Mata Sita always be at your side Regards Anthony
I met Jaya a couple of years ago when we were scouting for a property in Bangalore. She is a unique architect with great eco-friendly design ideas. Brilliant house with fantastic design concept.
Surprises at every corner. What a marvelously designed house! I guess it will be hard for the elder daughter to leave such a beautiful unique nature-friendly home.
Very distinctive almost quirky design taking our especial tradition along. Loved every aspect of the architecture and how effectively it has been conceived. Beautifully planned courtyard with kitchen opposite pooja room. Really loved the moon arch. Overall a great home and well explained home tour.
What a beautiful eco friendly home..so close to nature..it reminds of my Dadi’s house yet giving it a modern feel..wish we could also stay in such a place..just love your designing nd your efforts
Amazing design Jaya. Loved everything about the house. It is both functional and asthetically appealing, and most of all eco-friendly. Kudos to you and your team.
I saw this video a few weeks ago and surprisingly this house was just in front of me yesterday. When I saw the name kalpatru i immediately remembered this video. This is in one of the farmlands, East Bangalore. Its more beautiful in real ❤
From entrance gate onwards inner space each step something different design good experience.anchoring is also good understand.good team work with ar.jaya main role design.she is balancing as a architect and family client
a very unique and the material pallet and design takes us back to those old good days, simplicity is now coming back and the architects like you with innovative designs will make wonders. will surely consult you in future to develop the same style home in my village for my dads retirement. once again super duper design and material pallets. Take care. Stay safe.
Hello , M’am your work is Original and passive. Kind Appreciation from PAKISTAN 🇵🇰. We know India hesitats his kindness with us, but still I’m inviting you to LAHORE 😊 with all respect and Love. Talha Mayo ( Architect / Plnr )
Thank you for your appreciation, kind words and geniune feelings Architecture fraternity is same anywhere on the globe. Would love to see the artworks of Lahore.
@@susarlan sir definitely you should make a plan to visit lahore. I second you, about Arch fraternity is same but our ( pak-India ) story & relation is unique from the rest.
Wowww this house is sooo sooo beautiful❤.. really kudos to ur architectural idea.. my question is..does it always need a big site or plot.. can anything nicr be done in 30/40 plot as i have one n plan to build on it..
What a beautiful home! We are planning for an open courtyard home too. I wanted to check the practicality of it especially during summer and winters in Bangalore. Also during monsoon does it become difficult to manage. thank you.
We had these apprehensions too but wanted to experience the open to sky courtyard for at least a couple of seasons before deciding against it. So far we are loving it and the orientation has helped as the monsoon windward side is totally protected with the rest of the building.
Good question. Rain comes in but without touching any furniture. The furniture arround Courtyard is all stone. Since it's physically closed on all sides dust is not more than elsewhere.
Ma'am i have a small query since the entire kitchen and siting space is exposed to the courtyard, is there no issue of environmental interference like windes mosquito insects. or are ther structures that will close to keep the dust outside specially from the open kitchen.
Mam, you have a beautiful house..we are also planning to have open to sky courtyard. Could you please advise what kind of mesh you used or do you propose any other idea to protect from insects from top..kindly advise
True based on the grass used, hence we have used a native variety of grass which is also medicinal. It does not require the kind of water that other species need. In fact if you were to use thyme grass as a lawn, you would hardly need to water it I believe which I plan to experiment with shortly. And grass gives that much needed sitting space and visual break to enjoy the garden.

I have seen many builders,
But you are a craftsman who carves
You did not only build the house but you carved this house.

How many of you notived the cat jumping and failing to climb the tea table at 7:29
Poor kitten, was too excited and was in the process of honing it's skill. It thought "Never mind I will try again", got up and ran.😊
Genius!!
the courtyard reminds of fairytales
🎉🎉👍👍
Now you have fibre glass rebars which are stronger and cost effective than the normal steel TMT bars
Please try to include the Construction Cost as well. It will help us a lot. Thank You for your efforts 🙏
This is a publication by Buildofy and they have included all specs and cost details in the e-book on their website.
I am thinking of The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali.

Something beautiful can be made in a smaller plot too. Every design is unique.
I would love to have this open courtyard with a small change that is tulsi plant in the middle
Yes we love that idea too. Since we wanted the center to be more open for movement, Tulsi ji is in the North East corner.
Simply love this design and house..
Totally what was the cost..pls.
All the details are given on Buildofy in a 100 page document.

i like 2 cute small billus
very beautiful home, truly made with heart. I wondering how much savings could be done from building nature friendly homes...!!
That is purely based on the choices of finishes we make. Overall cost could be same, lesser or more than conventional buildings.
❤❤❤❤
What about heat, rain dust, all these are good to watch, ehat about maintenance
Good question. Rain comes in but without touching any furniture. The furniture arround Courtyard is all stone. Since it's physically closed on all sides dust is not more than elsewhere.
ok, but what about Vastu?
Most generally accepted Vastu principles have been incorporated.
Ma'am i have a small query since the entire kitchen and siting space is exposed to the courtyard, is there no issue of environmental interference like windes mosquito insects. or are ther structures that will close to keep the dust outside specially from the open kitchen.
It's enclosed on all sides and there is insect proofing through SS mesh. It's visible but not too visible.
Mam, you have a beautiful house..we are also planning to have open to sky courtyard. Could you please advise what kind of mesh you used or do you propose any other idea to protect from insects from top..kindly advise
We have used stainless steel 304 grade mesh. For insects that's a good protection and chances of rusting are less in SS 304.
@@jayarayaprolu674 thank you mam for your valuable response 🙏🙏🙏
I want to know what does one have to do to afford such a house in the first place?😂
Mud plaster that you guys used does it get washed in rains??😅
No it does not
Which locality is this? 2hat would be the land cost in this area?
Cost?
Used lots of cement nd steel in pillars and lanterns
total cost ?
Buildofy has published the details in their e-book on the project. You can access link from description.
Imaginatively different w great arcs n curves but has lost the simplicity of design w too much clutter in view
What about Mosquitos 😢
Mosquitoe net is provided

It can't be eco friendly if it has a lawn
