Thanks, Dar! Appreciate you dropping by. Hey folks go to www.youtube.com/@darbassbasscovers/videos for a fun time. I've been working on doing a bass thing on the Cold Blood song You Got me Hummin with Rod Ellicotts bass part. Notes are pretty easy but the rhythm is a bit wild.
I never had a PRS and they seem to be good playable. It's a shame they sent you a damaged guitar... I've installed a set of new Seymour Duncan Alnico II humbuckers in my vintage Custom Lawsuit Ibanez from the mid 70's, with coil split possibility. The sound did improve a lot and I'm using it for the band now :) I'v added myself to your subscribers list :) :) Bert
Hi, BABG! The SE's, like the Fender MIM stuff can be hit & miss. Wow. Your Ibanez sounds cool. I apparently was already subbed to you. It looks like you have some great collab work going on over on your channel. Keep up the good work & thanks for dropping by.
Oh my Goodness Van. Ive wanted one of these sooooooo bad. Had one in my cart in 2019 used for 650 at guitar center. The next day it sold. Then went to reverb and saw the Harley Benton Fusion T HH FNT. To be honest im happy with the fnt fusion but wish it was St shape over tele. Thats my only complaint. If any. But wow you got it bro. If one pops up available. This or the standard or custom SE locally or so ill offer up a deal and try to pick one up. Someone told me to try one to be sure but being slightly shorter scale and the neck i heard is amazing on them. I like the split position available too. Maybe stain it.
Hang on,,,, got another SE coming that I am in love with. I have looked at the HB Fusions being a Pete THorn fan. It's like a Suhr PT on the cheap. Love that idea. The 25 in. scale really isn't noticeable at all. The wide thin pattern of the neck is a little noticeable. Just a pinch wider at the nut.
Hey, DF. GTSY! My arthritis is pretty bad all year around. ,,,, until I think about it. It does seem to be a bit better in summer than winter. For years though, regardless of the month, I have tended to run my hands under warm water before playing. At least if I am going to play more than 10 minutes. How about you? You in the PNW?
@@greatvanzini Yes sir I am. I asked because mine is so bad for 60 to 90 days in the winter I finally just stopped playing until it warms up in Springtime. We bought some property down in Texas and go down there for one to three weeks at a time. When I'm down there I don't have any problems at all the problem is we're living in a fifth wheel until we build our house down there. I'll miss Oregon but honestly I'm looking forward to getting out of the cold wet and seeing if it'll improve my issues with my hands. I've had rheumatoid arthritis since I was in my mid-30s and it hasn't gotten any better over the years.
I doubt that body is veneered. More likely it has a thick poly finish, like most import solid bodies, and a chunk popped off. I'd look for a stain pen close to the color then drop fill with clear polyurethane or ca glue.
I sold my Myers SE because it wouldn't stay in tune; plus, the pots were really noisy and the pickup selector didn't work most of the time, and that's right from the start. I'm not impressed with PRS; fancy wood won't induce me ever to buy another. I'll stick to Teles; I bought a MIM Tele after I bought the PRS crap; it played perfectly and stays in tune and really cuts through my 65 Vox AC15. I sold the crappo for €450, taking a few hundred loss. I kept the gig bag, about the only good thing.
Hi MELVYN! Good to hear from you. Oh, So sorry to hear that. Dang, that's a lot of stuff wrong. I've been pretty lucky except for the very earliest ones back in the Korea days. To me, it ( my Silver Sky Se) was better than some MIM strats & not nearly as good as others. But hard to beat a good Tele. AHHH! A fellow vox guy. Just a little ac 10 here nowadays.
Nice gitfiddle Great Van❗❗❗ To bad for that ding on the bottom. It's great to see you again❗❗❗ Love to hear you jammin❗💯👍👍👍
Thank you so much, Darlene. it is a heck of a player & yeah,,, the ding! Nail Polish?
Don't send it back, get it repaired.
That's a beautiful finish.
That's what I'm thinking for now. Thanks for stopping by, Mr. Music! I really appreciate it.
Proaudiostar has always gone the extra mile for me. I would call them! 😃👍
That's good to hear. I actually messaged them. No response back.
Amazing song and performance - that's awesome!

Never noticed the wide thin until this one. Took me a minute to adjust but yeah, it's fine.

Does the Pacific Northwest weather bother the joints in your hands at all?

Nice brother , shame about the damage👍✌😎 Cya at Marshalls in a while 😉
Yeah, but it is a cheapy so it's no big deal. See you in a bit.
@@greatvanzini You would have paid double if it was called a RELIC. LOL. Does it stay in tune; the PRS crap I've seen won't stay in tune?
Yes stays in tune quite well actually.
I doubt that body is veneered. More likely it has a thick poly finish, like most import solid bodies, and a chunk popped off. I'd look for a stain pen close to the color then drop fill with clear polyurethane or ca glue.
Oh, yeah, make sense. Veneer popped into my head & out of my mouth it came.
That’s strange that yours looks like it has a veneer. The SE SAS is a solid swamp ash body, no veneer. I have the same guitar in same color.
I'm guessing it is ash underneath & it looks like good wood. Just the top finish so,,, who knows!!!
