- Yikes! Narrowfield Pups, not Nearfield! Thanks to
@rainfieldmusic for catching that.
7/1/24 I plugged it in to my AC 10 (Marshall Class 5 x 4x12 too) earlier today & am now in love with position 2 & 4. It really came through.
Update... sold three... got one of these coming now. Your vid genuinely helped me make the choice. Not that I will love it or anything, but a couple of your comments really spoke some concerns I had. So, not sure you wanted to help folks, but you did.
Look for good tones here folks! www.youtube.com/@BlugubriousMusic/videos
Thanks, Blu! Now I have to go back & watch it! LOL. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the wide thin. I have a number of WT SE's. This was for some reason does have a slightly different feel for me. On the other side I plugged it in to my AC 10 (Marshall Class 5 x 4x12 too) earlier today & am now in love with position 2 & 4. It really came through. Hope you enjoy it.
Damn, Greatvanzini, I randomly just found your channel (looking for more SE NF3 videos), it’s been a long long time since I saw you in some livestream chat (KYG and ToneKing). I’m glad I found your channel, that’s an instant sub. BTW, I changed my nickname on youtube, but it’s Phil Smith… cheers brother and thank you for the video. I’m gonna get exactly the same model, MN in Orange…
Hi, Phil! GTSY. I'm always impressed how we all connect in the guitar community. I've come across a lot of channels through TTK & Phil. The Orange is cool. I am really pleased with this guitar so far. Thanks for dropping by &,,, see you in the chats!
@@greatvanziniyes, it”s a small world after all… I’m happy you did this SE NF3 video, I’ve always been a fan of PRS. Keep up the good work. Cheers
That's magnificent guitar playing my friend - chapeau & BIG like!
Thank you so much, Darbass. Loved your Blue Monday vid.
Sweet sounding guitar. I enjoyed your beautiful solo at the beginning and nice presentation about the guitar. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you kindly, MC! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit. www.youtube.com/@music-collective/videos Caught your D Blues. More please.
Fantastic performance my friend!
Many thanks!, Mark. I am listening to your IF I HAD A LITTLE MORE TIME with Francis. Good stuff. Always up for an original.
I saw one of these guitars in the same color at the local music emporium and it looked really nice in person. Thinking of getting one for my son.
etherboy3540 Thanks for stopping by. Hard to go wrong. 800 is a great price for this & the looks are killer. I think he will dig it.
I love GV tv❗ Great review on this gitfiddle Great Van❗ I like the color. Sounds great.👍👍👍 Have a blessed day❗
Thank you! You too, Darlene. Thank you so much for the compliment, I really appreciate it.

Good stuff.
Hey you look in shape!😎👍 That is a very nice guitar. I like the sounds. That was some real good playing too! I noticed the Black Mountain pick also!
Yep, I broke down & bought some but wow, are they expensive! I think my old tried & true method is just as good & way cheaper but,,, they are quite good. Thanks for dropping by, OldJong.
@@greatvanzini You are welcome! It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. 🙂
Love your tone and fluid phrasing. I’m not a fan of maple necks, but it does look and sound nice. Thanks for sharing! 🙏
Thanks so much, Tim. that means a lot coming from you. Hey folks, go to
www.youtube.com/@TexasJackdaw/videos
Great studio work, playing recording, mixing, well, everything! I've really been leery of modern rosewood. Pau ferro is straight out. So I have gotten used to maple everything recently. I really appreciate you stopping by for a visit.
@@greatvanzini Of course, my friend! I love your playing and the person that you seem behind those six strings. TO me, maple necks seem too “quick”. Too “snappy”. And, then there’s the aesthetic - Rosewood (or darker fretboards) seem more expensive! Ha! Again, I’ve had several maple neck guitars, but they don’t stay long in our household. Keep doing what you do and I’ll be here watching and listening! I appreciate you, GV. 🙏
Congrats my friend, nice sounding guitar, love that finish, this would be the perfect strat style, maybe this could be in my collection in the future, GREAT video review, K Keep On Rocking, Rock On & God Bless.
Hey, Dave. GTSY! I appreciate you dropping by. Love the look of your new PRS. That blue was killer.
Awesome guitar Greatvanzini
Hey, Ric! Thanks for stopping by. It is a cool one & I am still working on dialing it in.
Slammed the action down into the weeds on mine last night. Just to see how low I could go? With the factory prs 9's on there, it's just frick'n ridiculous. For what it is, I'm impressed. The tuning stability is excellent, and there's no buzzing or dead spots anywhere. I'm kinda dig'n this thin little neck and the playability is great. Gunmetal Grey with a rosewood fretboard is the crispy specs I went with. She's a looker.
I'd get the pickup heights adjusted to get them in between positions to perk up.
Andrew, GTSY! Wow. My action was just about right. Just a pinch of dig in room. Same here. Everything was set up very nice. Fit & finish was fine & the price was spot on. Yeah, I kind of felt the Low A&E strings didn't cut through very well, so I may indeed do some adjusting. Thanks for dropping by, Andrew.
Really love the sound! Awesome
Thanks so much for stopping by, Layila. Your dark mini movies on your channel are really something.
Man I like your playing GVZ! Great review as always - g'day and good luck to you
Thank you kindly, Arvon. That's very nice of you to say. Hope to see you in the chats.
Cool guitar. Nice jamming!
Hey, Hack! Thanks for stopping by. It is a fun one. Hey, Folks,,,, listen to some good stuff over at www.youtube.com/@GuitarHack66
your tone is spot on
Thank you, Tiny! I really appreciate you stopping by for a visit. Good heavy R&R over at
www.youtube.com/@TinyDragon/videos
folks. You have a great bass tone on that last live video, Tiny.
Sounds good man, never seen you play a PRS before 🎼🎤🎸🎼
Hi, Robert! GTSY. Yeah, I have a whole playlist of SE's. I have sold a few of them recently but,,,, maybe 6 or 7. They're good little players for the money.
Good looking 👀 Guitar 🎸 🎸Sounds Good greatvanzini 👍🤘🎸🎸🎸🎼🎵🎵
Rock on & Many thanks, Dwight!!! Always digging your work.
@@greatvanzini Thank you very much greatvanzini 🤟🤠🤟🎸🎸🎸Rock Hard My Friend 🎸🎸🎸
Great review and playing on that nice guitar mate !!!
Thank you kindly, Christophe. I really appreciate you visiting. You have a ton of fun stuff to listen to on your channel.
Thanks , you're welcome any time : )
Hi Lars me ol' shipmate! Nice fiddle but I like my quacky 'nbtween tones. The addition of some coil splits would make that a killer! Imho, fwiw 🤷🤘
CLIVE! AeRRR R ya Matey? GTSY. Coil splits would be really interesting. This does lack the definitive Quack but, has maybe a little. I think splits might be really good for pos 2 & 4 .
I have been eye-balling those things... glad you did this. I see Marysville... is that in Cali? That area was my old stomping grounds...
I lived there for 6 years, late 80's early 90s. You?
@@mooseymoose I lived all around there when I was a little guy... '80s... Do you remember a place called The shack that served french fries on a cardboard carton?
@@BlugubriousMusic Hmm, vaguely maybe? I was a teen during those years, ate a lot at places like Hal's Grubsteak, Fosters Freeze, etc. but can't remember the shack off the top of my head. All time favorite restaurant was Tortillaria Flores in YC though.
Thanks for dropping by, Blu. I really appreciate it. Yes, Cali. I just add towns that I've visited or had friends or relatives at. I haven't been there in like 50 years. Nice town as I recall though. Or at least it was way back when.
I was only there a few times back in the early 70's. Seemed a nice little quaint town back then.
Interesting... near field pickups?
It does sound very single coil ish.
AHRGH!!! Yes, indeed. Narrow Fields PUPS, not Nearfield. Good catch. I still have no idea what it means, LOL. Thanks for dropping by, Rainfield!
Nice review, I agree 2& 4 sounded meh .
Hey, TBone! Thanks for stopping by. Someone suggested they should put a coil split in. That might actually help Pos. 2 & 4. then again it is still really new to me so I need to keep working on dialling it in.
👍✌😎 Chat soon brother.
Sounds good. Let me know if you want me to do anything different & Thanks for dropping by, Mark.
Bravo! You've truly outdone yourself.
Many thanks, ReCreepy. Appreciate you dropping by.
