If you can spend over 20 million bucks on a town house you dont worry about the 1000 dollars for a parking place. The fact the house comes with a parking space already bumps its price up with more than a million. thats 83 years worth of parking. (and its probably more than a million dollar premium)
15:59 that is called samovar, it's a russian word that means water boiler. It's made to boil water for tea. And widely used in Russia, Central Asia, Middle East, and Eastern Europe. 8:17 looks like those are ancient clay jars from the middle east. Or maybe a replica made by the artist. 12:54 those look like replicas of the prehistoric figurine called "venus of willendorf", anthropologist believe that, they may be used as a fertility symbols. 13:19 not quite sure but looks like ancient Egypcian male fertility figurines, or replicas of it. Also loved all of those beautiful persian rugs. This tour was a feast for my eyes. Looking forward for another tour of a historic place, (especially nyc townhouses).
I love it. The art is different but every artist needs their space to support them. If it’s not for you, it’s cause your personality doesn’t reflect the space. Most will change it but I see where she was going with the art. Beautiful townhouse
I absolutely love the exterior of this townhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fact that the width of a townhouse like this has a garage is amazing! We love your touring style Erik!
They definitely filled the house with things they love and you really can tell the personality of the owners just by looking at it. I wouldn’t have made the same decorative choices, but it’s a beautiful house nonetheless.
I actually like the artists enjoyment of all art. You can see by their style that it’s more about a celebration of what they love. I like a lot of the older elements as well.
the statues in that bedroom are crazy lol. pretty amazing NYC property though. i really like it. i would probably do some extensive renovations in the interior, but the location is fantastic. thanks for the tour as always, Erik!
I LOVE this series! This was just what I needed on my Saturday morning; ornate and interesting art and architecture to touch the soul! I absolutely love what YOU brought to the tour...a sense of intrigue and wonder that speaks to your authenticity. Thank you for bringing us into this enriching and interesting environment!
The pieces for the “front of a ship” are actually cornices that go on each side at the top of a doorway & could date back to before the 1400’s! Besides the fascinating artwork, someone must have been heavily into archeology. Just amazing house! (P.S. You just insulted the Rolls Royce y calling a Bentley, 😂
Hey Erik, that is one strange Carriage/Townhouse. Would have been interesting to see how it was arranged as a Carriagehouse for horses 🐎 or a Garage for an automobile. That chair in the bedroom is made out of cattle horns not tusks and it looks like someone has lived there since the 70's. Great presentation and nice suit, buddy.
It gives me the creeps lol I don't blame you rushing through that place. That place needs to be emptied and call a priest lol I love old homes too but this one the art makes my skin crawl
@@Jennytheaquariangoddess She has a museum in Israel and that place is just as creepy. I do not understand why her mess, I mean art is so popular. She has lots of pictures of herself on the wall. She appears to be very self absorbed. Another subject, you say your not religious but arnt you a witch? I saw your videos. Asking for a friend.
A really great place inside and out! Even if I’m not too keen on some of the artwork. Much of which seems to be of African/Asian origin. I really like the owner artist’s steampunk like desk and chair designs though.
I’d say I like a little bit of both, modern meets something a like this but toned down. It reminds me of my grandma’s house. A little to much going on but I get it.
Very much not my style, but I would like to have the ability to make my place into a place where it has my personality like this, so I admire her for that.
I liked the house, but I feel like the art stuff was too much, I mean there was too much of it, I'm not a minimalist, but if I had that house I would keep it probably more classical and modest, also for a place like NYC I would probably have a steel gate or something in front the garage door for security
that's actually the best part of it! (anyone who can afford this could also afford an EV to solve this "problem.") you just gotta pull in front first; the door is wide open when you start up to leave and I highly doubt that this will give any real world issues.
the garage isn't a separate space so all the snow and ice gets tracked in along with car exhaust, maybe you can park an EV in there. Overall it's kinda odd so the price will have to reflect that.
I feel like the owner of this house is the stereotypical girl that was born in wealth and started ''working'' as an ''artist'' to find ''meaning'' in life. But she probably never made money doing so and if she did its only because she got rich friends. Imagine living in such a beautifull town house and blocking every single window with art... Yes she bought some nice ancient artifacts but everything is scattered around without any taste.
The house is cool. I like anything that's is different than the normal glass and white boxes that everybody's doing now but more than anything. It just confirms to me that art is strictly for rich people money laundering
What are the comps for the 10 homes on either side of this one? The one next door looks much nicer. This house needs to be staged. Remove a lot of the crud that clutters it up, start with the aluminum ladder hanging next to the Rolls Royce. Bad first impression.
Real, not unprofessional. I am not an agent. Not selling the house. I am a fan of old homes. I love learning. So yes, comment below if you know what any of these artifacts are and their significance.
You ask why buildings like this aren't built anymore?? Who but the very few could afford them!!? How does ANYONE afford to live in NYC?? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
This is not a house. This is a museum.

THANK YOU for the information
having a private garage in nyc... with green backyard? that's awesome
16:50 It seems to me that it is a bullfighter's suit, known as the "suit of lights," along with the estoc (the sword used in bullfighting).
I love it. The art is different but every artist needs their space to support them. If it’s not for you, it’s cause your personality doesn’t reflect the space. Most will change it but I see where she was going with the art. Beautiful townhouse

This would be the house of Mr Magorium in “Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium”….super creative!

I absolutely love what YOU brought to the tour...a sense of intrigue and wonder that speaks to your authenticity. Thank you for bringing us into this enriching and interesting environment!
Of I had the money I would buy with everything inside, wouldn't change a thing. I simply loved this.
Absolutely beautiful.

Wait really?? What culture are they from and what are they called?
@@erikvanconover LOL
So freaking amazing
More is MORE! SO claustrophobic. Imagine the sellers having to empty that place if someone actually bought it.
it will prb get a full gut reno
@@erikvanconover It needs it, Im not a big fan of their decorations.
It's not the sellers, it's the buyers! Everything in the house stays, including the Bentley. I can't believe someone actually lives there
I mean, the buyers would probably get a VERY nice payday for some of the historical items 👀
@ravenvelvet69 I'm sure
A Dope House indeed.
And the Artwork
🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
Elegant
I like the art, but was confused why you keep focusing on it until you mentioned it comes with the house. Nice.
Reminds me of the Ghostbusters Headquarter 🤫
Great video! Yeah I love the limestone, brownstone mansions in NYC.
Awesome video!!! Very inspiring

I feel the historical info on the home might be a bit off. I tried looking through property records and I feel the home is older than what is listed.
@erikvanconover Thanks buddy, you are always ❤️ a pleasure to watch.
Clicked to watch this immediately!
It gives me the creeps lol I don't blame you rushing through that place. That place needs to be emptied and call a priest lol I love old homes too but this one the art makes my skin crawl
I was thinking the same thing. The owner has lots of esoteric issues.
@@hunglikehorse4339 I saw the same plus I'm not even religious but I'd still call a priest lol Loads of symbolism in this house

I agree..scary
And ya..Eric the Rolls Royce did not turn into a Bentley in minutes lol. Love you❤

I would kill for something like this,. It's your own sanctuary, unique features, and some very strange art pieces, all in such an amazing city.
Yes you could really do some cool things in a reno
I love it. They look like they are Roman amphories. Don’t know if I spelled that correctly
17:07 Rolls Royce, not Bentley. But other than that, overall an efficient layout and good use of space for such a tall but narrow property.
same same but different. Big old boat!
@@erikvanconover They really are.
This is true life......! ❤
Beauty❤
It has a lonely feeling.
you just need to step outside and be in intimately close contact with all your neighbors, lol (way too close.)
Imagine paying 28M and sharing the same wall with your neighbour 😂😂😂
Some pretty creepy art pieces but beautiful house though !!
yeah truly
Creepy tiny hat.
Whoa 👏🏻
Looks like curiosity museum
Creepy small cap demon's lair.
low key
Not this being right across my school😭
Crazy

I love when you start up your car and get fumes into your home! Genius! ! this will not sell anywhere near asking

It’s nice but not my cup of tea
Including the Bentley 😂

never too late
Can I pay with Solana?
I like your videos. Your videos are very interesting. Love you ❤❤
This place should be on a episode of Hoarders
The house is cool. I like anything that's is different than the normal glass and white boxes that everybody's doing now but more than anything. It just confirms to me that art is strictly for rich people money laundering
and how exactly does this process work?!
No please gargoyle golden😢
Are we even allowed to build 6 story houses in most cities ?
Most suburbs would prohibit this style of construction
THE ARTIST WHO CREATED THOSE ITEMS IS P. DIDDY, aka SEAN COMBS. HE IS A GENIUS, AINT HE?
0:19 ayoo 🤨‼
Keep the Rolls Royce and the Arts, I'll buy the house for 100k :)
It's nice bt not worth the price
I don't know but this house give me not feeling good....
The building is so skinny

too cluttered. don't care for the art. just too much stuff, everywhere.
Erik, so unprepared, so unprofessional. Walking around the place like "i dont know what this is, comment down below".
