Hey PiG. It was a great game/video. In terms of the video format, my preference would be to worry less about what Serral says... when we hear it, it's the icing on the cake, but don't worry about interrupting your own flow or rewinding the video to catch all his comments.
I think in a video where your studying the gsmeplay and thought pattern of serral, its very important to hear what he is saying to understand the game the way he does.

I feel that a couple of banes defensefly should be great tho. You use fungal to block their load on the medivac and by the time It expires the banes should have already been detonated. Just a couple of them tho
I like both Serral and you at the same time! Audio levels sounded good. I think if Serral got banelings late to blow up the depot wall he could have swarmed in with his ultras. Fun cast!
Serral was a bit too quiet, it was really hard to hear what he was saying, I'd prefer to hear both. Please keep making more of these. Also his pronunciation is closer to how we pronounce the words in finnish, just like they are written, also known as rally-english.

Nice Cast. I would like to hear everything Serral says. So he should be louder. No problem if you accidentally speak at the same time. When Serral volume is equals to yours, you dont need to repeat to much of his Words.
The format was just fine this way. The only critique would be to not repeat verbatim what Serral just said, then answer it. We could hear him say it. You could just respond. But, maybe you didn't know how the volume would sound to us exactly...I don't know.
I've been doing this for like a year and a half and been ranting about it. Glad to see it's becoming popular in pro league. Ling bane kiting is so punishing for zerg and bleeds out so much for no gain but infestors bring it back. Can trade evenly with terrans easily.
Yo good cast, as you asked: Turn him up a bit so we can hear him and you don’t feel the need to repeat what he said. But also not too much so that when you talk we hear you.
Maybe you could have his volume on mute to the stream except when we're listening but always at low volume in an earbud so you can talk over while keeping tabs on the monologue?
I been saying for so long how you need infestors. Then dark has been doing that neural bile combo, 3 infestors by 6m~
I would do a version with (in metal league) with ravenger, ling, infestor. It works nicely to land biles on top of the army, I even bopped a smurf, who was kind of dumbfounded as to what kind of swamp magic I was using.

Your channel inspired me to play my first ever game of 1v1 online. It didn't go well.
There is no success without failure. Watch the replay and think what you should've done. How fast were you in spreading your economy and did you scout well to counter what was coming
@@wrinklebob7465 I know, but the guy I was paired with macroed perfectly and went on 5 bases in no time as terran. I feel like I played extremely well for a complete beginner, but that guy was far beyond what you see when Pig is commentating gold/diamond, I even fell I've seen worse platinum players. My own macro was pretty bad though, my micro was almost on par.
@@genuz that's why scouting is as important. Doesn't matter how good macro or micro gets. If the opponent is booming in economy, it usually suggests that they have little to none army wise. A good all in attack can end the game then and there. If they're ahead in economy, even if they lose their whole army, they can easily replace that army within a minute whereas the lower eco player has to wait to get the money to get the army back
@@genuz here's a tip. I got good at zerg within a week. I send my overlord straight to the opponent's narural if faced against terran. If I'm facing protoss or zerg, I send it to the main as P and Z is slow to pump out anti air units. 2nd and 3rd overlord should be queued to the top and bottom corner bases for proxy expansion or even spotting a cheese. I got 5 cheeses from terran this week. They do barrack bunker rush and once I spot it, I immediately stop expanding my eco and focus booming out lings and target the bunker and unprepared marrines. And if the opponent expands normally, try producing 10 lings and send and station each of the lings at each expandable location on the map and 2 more ling infront of the ramps where the terran might come in for an attack, giving you notice for preparing counter. Another best scouting tip would be to immediately morph overlord into overseer (the one overlord that you sent at the beginning) and scout for what build the opponent is going for in the main. Changeling is the best option to scout it. I encountered many fusion core reactors and been able to pump out corruptors in time to counter those
13:30 the way you say Muh-roar-ders is acceptable, the only other way ive heard it pronounced other than that bizarre way Serral did just there is muh-rawr-ders.

I think you should take turns and when you're speaking have the streamer speak softly so I can still make out what he's saying if I want to hear but its not too distracting. But also having the player just talk for a little bit at intervals is good

On the note of the volume, as long as Serral talking at the same time as you doesn't make it difficult to understand what you're saying then I think it's fine. I would much rather have that than constant pausing, imo.
Maybe have a closed caption of serrals audio so you don't have to worry about talking over him or repeat what he is saying ?
You'd probably have to proof read it and edit it thou, I imagine there are a lot of starcraft words most text to speech wouldn't catch
I get the idea of skipping banelings, but once ultras are out, ya might as well get a baneling nest, no? Just to keep teching up? I blame ultras, they still suck
I think if you've got a big enough economy for sure, he was pretty broke though so sticking to infestor ultra tends to be far more efficient

Serral higher volume and commentate around him. Every time he speaks youre just repeating what he said because you know its interesting and what we wanna hear, so just commentate his commentate so to speak and it'll be really nice.
I don't like the rewinding. Especially because sometimes it's hard to tell when you do it.

GM only lets you in if you play enough games every 2 weeks to meet the minimum requirements. Since pros are often travelling to events and playing across many different accounts they tend to have a lot of their accounts sitting in masters most of the time. They still have MMR that would place them in to top 5 of ladder if they hit enough games to get promoted to GM though.
Conversely PiG, what would would be the counter to this (if we suspect our opponent is doing this build)? Marines/widow mines/tanks into ghosts?

The key thing is to make sure you're very careful moving around the map, keeping marines spread out so they can't land any money fungals. Also you could go Hellbats instead of mines/tanks as that forces banelings, and they're usually trying to completely skip banelings with this style
@@PiGstarcraft Good idea! I would not have thought about hellions right away, but it is perfect for map presence in this situation (because duh, no or close to no banelings).
I'll give it the ol' college whack next time I'm on ladder and see this (literally anything is possible on NA 😩)

Meh, I don't like it unless you put Serral at Equal volume to yourself so while "talking over each other" we can decide what voice to focus on, sometimes it looked like Serral was saying something cool but couldnt really hear it even replaying the spot.
lol, really showing your own commentary chops in this video with bouncing between all the action and harassment. It really does take a SC2 pro to keep up sometimes.

I personally feel that including his commentary kind of lowers the transformative value of the work and dilutes your content with someone else's. If that concept does not give you pause, then I see no reason why you should not do it.
But, for what it is worth, I clicked the video for your content and not for Serral's. I do not like pausing or rewinding for his comments, as a result. Just my two cents!
Turn serral up to same level as you, continue to commentate when he isn't talking. Don't repeat what he says. Too much repeating in this one.

i dont like hearing both talk, but if you are going to do it, stop repeating everything he says, we can hear him and you sound like an echo. consider muting player when you are talking... or muting him entirely and closed captioining the important things he says.
It's ok when you talk over him, but it's annoying when you make pauses to let him talk. It's more like a distraction to you so I prefer without Serral's voice.
