I'm about to buy my son one of these. I love va panels but i really don't like the slow dark response they usually have. The poor kid is gaming on a 720p tv at 60hz so I think it will be a huge upgrade nonetheless
The More you use the Monitor the Better the Panel gets. I kept my custom OSD settings and saw Big improvements on Brightness after a week of use.
@@Chiefgeargrinder Yeah I have a slow black reaponse VA Pixio panel and a really fast one Oddesey G7. You can actually tune out the dark smearing by reducing the contrast and black levels. It will look like an IPS and perform like one, but then I miss the deep blacks I play a lot of scary games. I honestly didn't even notice the smearing until I started looking into it

THANKS MAN! I just ordered one of these on Amazon. It will arrive on April 13. I am going to upgrade my old LG 27 FHD 1080 75hz IPS monitor. I hope it is a good purchase. One question, I don't see a lot of videos about this type of monitor and I think they should get more, many people worry about ghosting or the black color in different games that flickers and I think it's because they don't have the Display Port and 165hz on asset. What can you think about this? Have you had that problem or is it really not something that bothers you or is it a user error due to their mishandling?
IMO It's a fantastic Monitor with Bad Presets :) Response time is Awesome. Screen is a Nice Size. Enjoy.
I made a quality test Gameplay Video With No issues. Your Right, many People fail to set the refresh rates and even resolutions correctly then complain. Reviewers stated Motion Blur on this model is Bad and I didn't have that issue.
@@Chiefgeargrinderproblem is the ghosting. I’m playing games like escape from Tarkov and when I enter a dark area my screen shifts SOOO hard.
Google search ghosting in escape from Tarkov. It's the game not the display. AA in certain games are broke.@@simpy3651

I had to do a deep research here to see your video. Do you have a PS5 and can you make a setting for that for ps5? I have exact monitor.
You don't need a PS5 to make changes to the Monitor. These settings should work just fine with any Console.

That Looks more like a Video Card issue, however you could switch to a hdmi 2.1 cable and pick 12 bit color that might solve the issue.

I do believe you set the Monitor's Response time to standard, however I didn't think the Monitor was bright enough for that setting.
You have to turn off Adaptive Sync then you can turn it on.
Weird I purchased 2 from Costco LG 32GN63T B but they only go up to 144hz? My video card is GPU 3080TX It should be able to handle 165hz. Tried changing via Nvdia control panel - option not there, tried through native Windows 11 settings not there either?
You need to use display port.😊 hope this helps

For some reason I have the same model but instead of adaptive sync I have free sync premium. Is it because mines older or smth?

@user-es6pl4wv9w in the middle of the Monitor at the very bottom you'll feel a joystick. That's how you access the OS&D settings

Either go into Windows/ Display or your graphic card control panel and change it there. You should see 120hz-144hz options.
Why is it pushing out for ps5? Does ps5 not support it?
It's a HDMI 2.0 Monitor that is VRR Capable. I do believe you need HDMI 2.1 to support VRR at 120hz on console. You'll get it at 60hz as I was told since I do not own a console to confirm this.
