I've watched every Andy Galpin interview I could find for the last 6 months and this one, by far, is the greatest, most in depth one I have listened to. And I'm only half way through! Thank you Dr.Lyon!

The sauna protocol is a huge win!!! As a massage therapist working with peri/menopause untrained, low muscled, protein deficient women....this is where I have everyone start!! Hearing "lift heavy shit" doesn't help when it hurts to move...have nerve pain...chronic neck/back pain....the sauna protocols Andy outlined here could be life changing!!!

Joe Rogan's show is where I first saw Andy and what kept me listening was the way he spoke and explained things. It was that show when I learned about strength vs. hypertrophy and about going nowhere near failure BUT more frequently produced better strength results! I started doing 3 sets of 3 pull ups (I could do 8, clean), everyday and within a month I could do 12 clean! It blew my mind!

Sucks that only execs and pro athletes get this kind of care. I wish all these MD and PHD podcasters would band together, create a lobby, raise money and force our government to make changes in legislation. Can you imagine the millions of listeners between these guys, huberman, Attia, Rich Roll and others all hearing about how they can support the preventative healthcare lobby? Unstoppable.

EXCELLENT IDEA! Comment of the century. Let’s find ways to mobilize and make that happen. You are right, there are masses of eyes to reach on here for social change, as much as for silly ads. Preventive Healthcare is something everyone can get behind, and that is scientifically backed. It is a political mandate, by definition.

I believe that saying walking has no utility in someone's overall health is a dangerous thing to put out there. Simply because there are people that is all they can do. So if you say walking is just walking and has no health benefits you will get a lot of people that will just quit even just doing that.

Dr. Casey Means was saying recently that a minimum of 7,000 steps walking per day is necessary. She mentioned a study with three groups where one group walked 20 minutes in the morning, the second walked 20 minutes in the evening, and the third group walked 2-3 minutes every half hour throughout the day. There is great benefit in all groups but even walking a few minutes every half hour had better impact on blood glucose levels. Her advice? Walk!!

I've heard and learned from Andy lots of times. It was really nice to hear his (your) personal story. It reminds me so much of my own mom. She grew up on a farm in the Florida panhandle, the oldest of 12 kids. She went on to get her PhD in Physics and Astronomy, and started the first (maybe only titled as such) Women in Physics program at The University of Oklahoma.

He has a new podcast, too! I think it just started this month. Awesome👌
I just began a walking challenge with a YT influencer.
I'm supposed to listen to their audio while I walk. But, its ALL health/fitness stuff I already know. So, I got very bord very fast with those audio's.
NOW... I'm listening to Andy's new podcast while I walk😃.
I've watched/listened to every Galpin interview I could get my hands on - including his entire colab series w/Huberman😊.
But! This new podcast of Andy's - definitely higher level! Learned so much new sh*t already, and I've only just begun👍😄

Andy's personality is very confident and almost abrasive in how he says somethings, but maybe it's cause I'm pretty introverted and not like Andy, but I respect Gabrielle's respect and patience with his communication style. I personally would have probably felt uncomfortable having to receive that level of energy in how he expresses himself for a total 3 hours. But I'm also not aware of his level of fame and accomplishments, I'm just a new listener of his podcast and so forth.
