- Today We Compare The Good And The Bad When It Comes To Both The RS4 And S4 Avant's. Which ~Is The Best Value For Money? Is This The End Of Both Cars In The Audi Range????
Interesting review, and I liked your summing up of two great cars, Colin. I'm more of a "dad" driver, but it doesn't hurt to dream sometimes.
Great video.I bought the New S4 TDI a few months ago. Got to say the Torque is relentless. . Is is amazing in the corners and in the wet I'm not disappointed at all I love it... also I can get a genuine 52mpg "with the grand son " in the car 😂 keep up the good work 👍
Many thanks. I've done over 14k miles in mine now and can't fault it!
NO WAY 53mpg ????????????? so you can drive it normally and get above say 45mpg how did you hit 52mpg how long was the route?
The RS4 you drove is optioned with heated steering wheel which only comes in the round shape. There's no heated option for the flat bottom steering wheel.
Good video 👍🏼
The flat bottom steering wheel looks way better
S4 oil burner all day long in Avant guise. 700nm of torque and 45mpg+. Makes much more sense. That or a M340d touring BMW.
A bit of a shaky camera, with not the best audio quality. However, although it’s obviously a start-up channel, it was an enjoyable video nonetheless. Nice job, my good man.
Oh yeah, I forgot; I’d take the S4 too. I much prefer the torque and feel of a diesel too. Yes, the petrol has a nice revvy feel, but I prefer the pull of a diesel… and the mpg!
Cracking review bro
If you are in the market for an RS4, as I am right now. An S4 is not on my radar, let alone a diesel. It’s a different buyer with different priorities I would suggest.
I would agree in whole , but it was more a comparison to show how close the S4 is all around. Good luck with your hunt for an RS4. We have a stunning Nardo grey example in stock right now.
As far as i know s4 is same diesel engine as a6 and a lot users report dead engines under 100k km so maybe keep it only for warranty period. I own rs4 b9 and car is amazing but unfortunatelly i have standart suspension so its liitle bit too stiff.
Not heard much about the dead engines. . The TDI certainly packs a punch anyways!
just got my S4 TDI today that car is so fucking good its insane
You could get the S4 remapped and it would be a lot closer!!!
True but not worth doing as will devalue the car being it could never be sold by an Audi dealer ever again. Would be faster. I'd say if you did though.
how can a diesel engine not sound like a tractor are they using fake audio speakers lol?? I should get a S4 or S5 being a 6'2 in height ? I want a sporty car like my A3 Sline 2011 2.0 tdi black edition
The 6 zylinder diesel is much more settled but still - yes they are also adding fake sound, which makes it sound so grunty almost V8-like... I turned fake sound to minimum and the engine still sounds good. For me the S4 is a grand tourismo... relaxed, sovereign cruising - not for bragging with sound on a traffic-light.
@@ThorDyrden I purchased a S4 2018 petrol - It's expensive to run in terms of fuel I must admit, glad i didnt get the diesel versions too expensive at the time anyway , only glitch is know its already 6 years old which hurts considering my last car was only 3 years old with less mileage at the time.
I have a 67 plate B9 S4 petrol, I still don't understand why Audi moved to diesel for the S4 with the move away from all diesel engines!
Your wish may come true cos looks like Audi is going back to Petrol on S model cars next year!
@@colinspc true, then all the 4s become electric! Anyway, great vid and I love my b9 S4, nice to see an everyday experience angle on the RS4, don't feel like I made the wrong choice!
With my mileage of around 2000 miles max per year the fuel economy wouldn't be a factor for me. I might on the other hand consider a petrol S4 Avant.
Hearts say RS4 Avant , Head says RS4 Avant bank manager on the other hand says VW Golf 1.5eTSI 😅😅 😅😅
Thanks for the video and prolonging the anguish of choice.
It is a very hard choice!. Thanks for the comment
Are there “Bank Managers” anymore?
