[Hong Kong] Police Using *Priority Siren* To Move Illegally Parked Taxis! (Honda Motorcycle)

- Captured here is a Honda motorcycle of the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) Traffic Division performing patrol and enforcement duties around the busy 'Times Square' area in Causeway Bay, during the Lunar New Year festivities. A police officer was seen using the siren to move illegally parked taxis in order to keep traffic moving in the narrow and crowded streets. The last clip shows a BMW Traffic Police motorcycle taking off to patrol down nearby Hennessy Road.

That's one of the nicest honda police bike I have seen. The set up makes it look like a police bike.

МиљковићSRB They’re actually quite new, less than 5 years old. The siren more than makes up for the lack of lighting on the sides though because you will hear this thing miles away if it is Code 3. Besides, if you can’t see a Battenburg-marked motorcycle with a man in a yellow jacket and white helmet on there’s probably something wrong. Though I do think that the Hondas need the bigger rear strobe as seen on the last BMW.
I also agree that the front lightning could be better, however it is true that they are still quite visible due to the bright colors that the traffic police use. The best solution would be some small LEDs facing the sides of the motorbike as seen on some BMW emergency motorbikes in Hong Kong.
I think, due to their location, they are masked off on the back to avoid blinding/distracting the rider.
we need police 4 moving taxis in new west. lots parking where their not 2 b parked/waiting. im soooo tired them being in the bus stop areas !!!!!!!!!

It's not a "priority siren", it's one of the basic available tones on any electronic siren. This one is a YELP.
Jack LINDEN Ok. It definitely doesn’t sound like a regular yelp, it’s much faster, like a ‘hyper yelp’, which is also a type of priority tone. I have not heard all tones on this model of siren so I assumed this is the priority tone.

I still don't know what HKP was thinking with these bikes, Tokyo uses the same model and their lights are 360, the housing here can be 360 but they only made it front facing -_-
mlps93 Thanks! Ah interesting...yes I agree it’s a strange choice of lighting, the front always bothers me, and I’m sure the officers aren’t too happy with the safety aspects either... Still a very cool bike though, especially with the livery.

There must be something more than that though. The Hong Kong Police seem to absolutely love taking notes from the police in the UK, from the livery, to the uniforms and the vehicles.
The same can't be said for other former colonies like Malaysia or Singapore.

I agree, I don’t think the lights in the front of the bike are very effective. They should have ordered the 360 degree beacons for better visibility. Their BMW bikes have much more effective lights.
