- Captured here are units of the local municipal police and the Carabinieri (national gendarmerie of Italy) in the Italian town of Bergamo. You will see a heavily armed special unit of the Carabinieri blocking one of the main roads in the city center while escorting a convoy of trucks that appeared to be making a high-value delivery to a Bank of Italy building.

Yes because in Bergamo there is the Bank of Italy and here (I say here because I am a student in Bergamo) they destroy banknotes. The vans bring ruined banknotes and they destroy them inside the building, I saw it on a school trip just 2 weeks ago!

Totally off topic. If you go to Italy either Rome, Amalfi coast and have a rental car EXPECT to have your cc charged by the rental company courtesy of the carabineri.. Italy has the most congestion along with speed cameras of all of Europe. It's a money 💰 racket!

Those SUVs are armoured and offer space and ground clearance

@@FrenkGamberini buona giornata a te e Buona Pasqua, io posso solo aggiornarti su quello che so, non ufficiale, il Comando Carabinieri Banca d'ITALIA si occupa della vigilanza di tutte le sedi Amministrative della B.I. e del trasporto e scorta dei valori della stessa. Non so dirti se il" Nucleo" trasporto e scorta è a se o meno. Comunque penso che essendo Carabinieri possano essere spostati ad altri incarichi d'Istituto. Io lavoro vicino ad una delle sedi B.I. e tendenzialmente vedo gli stessi sottufficiali e graduati,entrare e uscire dagli uffici.....per quanto riguarda il trasporto e scorta, è difficile non accorgersi del loro arrivo, o del passaggio in strada, spesso appoggiati dai motociclisti.....

Italian police doesn't want to be filmed, they are a bit rude even if you take a photo of empty patrols parked in public streets, even if the law allows it (outside military areas). Nothing new under the sun

Questo non è vero. Non esiste in Italia una legge che vieta di fotografare la polizia. La verità è che la polizia italiana a volte si comporta in maniera arrogante
@@alessandrobernardi9347 infatti è quello che ho scritto, le forze dell'ordine digeriscono malvolentieri foto e video, anche se la legge consente di fare foto nella pubblica via, purché non si leda il diritto alla privacy dell'operatore. È invece proibito fare foto nelle basi militari, salvo rare eccezioni quali eventi aperti al pubblico.

Yes I understand that, but they are creating a huge public spectacle in the middle of the day with hundreds of people around. Expecting nobody to record it would be unrealistic. However, I spoke to the officers afterwards and was not asked to delete anything.

L' insieme delle forze di polizia italiana, è detto : Forze dell'Ordine. Esso è suddiviso in Carabinieri e Guardia di Finanza che sono a statuto militare, e Polizia di Stato che è a statuto civile. Poi ci sono la Polizia Locale e Polizia Provinciale, anche esse a statuto civile, che sono simili ai dipartimenti dello sceriffo americani.
Polizia Locale, (municipale), e polizia provinciale, (non in tutte le province esiste), non sono come i dipartimenti degli sceriffi americani. Perché lo sceriffo americano è una carica elettiva, mentre la polizia locale italiana dipende dal sindaco.
Inoltre la polizia locale non si occupa di ordine pubblico, che è compito delle polizie nazionali, in particolare dalla polizia di stato, (questura), con le due polizie militari come supporto.
Ho scritto che sono simili, come country police. Non che sono uguali ai dipartimenti degli sceriffi americani. Non ho menzionato il servizio di ordine pubblico.Ho voluto soltanto dare un'idea al turista straniero che viene in Italia, e notando diverse divise,si renda conto più o meno a quale Corpo appartengano. @@alessandrobernardi9347
La polizia locale (vigili ) non sono come le polizie americane, sono dipendenti dal Comune, le loro funzioni sono limitate nella circoscrizione del territorio del Comune di appartenenza e le loro qualifiche sono limitate nell'esercizio delle loro funzioni.
@@filippofidelibus4042 Dipende da come sono organizzate. Nelle grandi città di solito i corpi di polizia locale sono ben organizzati, hanno personale e strumenti, e fanno anche indagini.
Nei piccoli centri invece hanno compiti più limitati, poco personale, e si limitano di solito al controllo della viabilità, del commercio ambulante, e poco altro.
Molti piccoli comuni inoltre, per garantire un minimo di servizio, hanno corpi di polizia locale in consorzio, dove magari 2 o 3 vigili fanno servizio sul territorio di diversi comuni.

Their faces were not covered. This was not an uncover unit or anything like that. They made a very public spectacle with hundreds of people watching.
What about the families of the beat up students who were protesting to end the ethnic cleansing in Palestine in Pisa and the ones of black people, who are almost daily racially profiled (also by having non-white people being the only ones who are asked to provide their papers, right?)? Il Corpo Carabinieri è parte dell'Esercito Italiano (E.I.), in questo caso credo tu abbia filmato solo un operazione di pubblica sicurezza, o una semplice esercitazione. Ti informo anche che le sanzioni che ti possono essere addebitate, per attività illecite contro l'esercito, hanno una gravità ben maggiore rispetto a quelle che puoi incorrere nei confronti della Polizia di Stato.

Carabinieri are a military police force that we have here in Italy. We also have a “classic” police force named “Polizia di Stato” (“State’s police” literally) and, usually they work together. The main difference is that Carabinieri, due to their military background and training, can be deployed in war zones to support local forces
Our Carabinieri are similar to Gendarmerie in France or Civil Guard in Spain. It's a police force with a militar status.
