[Hong Kong] Ambulances & Motorcycle Responding in Mong Kok

- Captured here are emergency ambulances of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (HKFSD) responding in the Mong Kok area. Mong Kok is one of the busiest and most densely populated urban centers in Hong Kong. Ambulance 273 is seen turning out of HKFSD Mong Kok Fire Station, one of the busiest fire stations in the city, for a medical emergency. Shortly after a paramedic motorcycle, or 'Emergency Medical Assistant Motor Cycle' (EMAMC), unit A675, was seen responding to a different medical aid call further down the road. Since I was expecting another ambulance to attend this call I followed the paramedic motorcycle and caught Ambulance 347 arriving at the scene. As you can see in the video the paramedics from A347 had a very friendly reaction to my camera and did not seem to mind me recording the vehicles at all. A big THANK YOU to the men and women of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department for their tireless efforts in keeping the city safe!

I haven’t been very lucky at Mong Kok FS in terms of ‘reds’, but then again I haven’t waited there long enough yet (definitely gonna do a full day there when I’m back in HK). I also had to go in the direction of the paramedic bike anyway so it worked out pretty well 😄
"Mong Kok" (旺角) literally means vibrant corner lol, pretty sure that was intentional. 旺 is also used to describe busy fire stations in Taiwan :P
Yeah I can relate mlps93, the Taiwanese FFs and medics are definitely friendlier to non-locals too lol. I got away with a lot of shit this summer by passing off as a tourist haha

You mean the Star of Life on the ambulance? That’s a universal medical symbol found of many emergency vehicles around the world.
The snake was the mascot and helper of some ancient god of healing I believe
Weesky Asclepius was the ancient greek god of healing. His staff was entwined with a snake. It is carried on to the medical symbol of today.
