I find skirts/dresses infinitely more comfortable than trousers, which are nearly impossible for me to find a decent fit in. This was really good. We are well into winter here even though it technically hasn’t started yet. I do like to watch the new season videos from the northern hemisphere because we will be getting them 6 months later. It’s also a good opportunity to make a list ahead and time and then shop the American end of season sales so that I can get some things ahead of time at a discount.

Love the pretty colors and suggestions. I personally think nothing screams old more than those shirts that have the tabs on the arms to roll them up. You see NO ONE below about 55 wearing those. I prefer ordinary sleeves, like what you have. Also I have to watch my budget a bit more so I went to Amazon and bought Amazon classic essential tanks, camisoles and tees at a fraction of the price. They are soft and beautiful and wash very well so it is totally possible. A confident person wearing whatever she/he is wearing is always the best wardrobe choice regardless of price.
I love the concept of linen and how it keeps you cool, especially here in Oklahoma during the blazing hot summers. The problem is the ironing required. Between being a keeper of my home and making many things from scratch as well as homeschooling my children I simply don’t have the time in this season of life. If someone were to invent a wrinkle-free linen, they would be set for life 💰. 😂
Linen is a beautiful fabric! Just purchased some linen clothes on market in Italy. Linen viscose blends are also wonderful to wear. This feels less" scratchy "to me ... Linen looks absolutely beautiful in every colour! Thanks for good tips.

My number one summer essential here on the Gulf Coast is a Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt dress or six. Worn with a pair of sandals or white sneakers and a straw or rattan bag and you have the perfect summer look. Plus you can pack a weeks worth in a tote for a quick get away. Can’t do that with linen.
Love your channel and all your wonderful tips. I do like linen a lot, but it wrinkles so easily that before I leave the house I feel I look so unkempt. Am I alone in this, or is it just something I need to try to live with?

Ironically, earlier this week, I ordered two mini-stripe tanks from Talbots and an eyelet edged white one from Chicos. Felt that was a hole in my wardrobe, not knowing they are much in style! I also have a bunch of J Jill linen shirts from a few years ago… and have several linen wide legged linen pants. Live in these all summer. Thanks for this fashion confidence builder!

I never iron linen, which weakens the fabric. Just wash by hand and smooth out the garment with your fingers. It will dry with a beautiful texture. Good luck!

From Laura: I have been watching your videos for awhile now, and I usually find some useful hints to incorporate into my wardrobe. Would it be possible to show clothing that plus size women can wear? I have been trying to find a white or light pink tank that fits me but I have been unsuccessful so far. (Another problem this year is that many stores are making cropped tops! A big no no for my figure!) Depending on the store, I wear a XL or a 1X, so I am right on the edge - am I regular size or am I plus size? I looked up the Michael Stars tank. Their XL is too small for me. On the other hand, I have some Talbots tops that are XL, where the sizing in the bust and hips is one inch larger and in the waist it is two inches larger. This still shouldn't fit me according to the numbers, but I guess Talbots sizes their clothing bigger so I can comfortably fit the XL. Most other stores I am a 1X. I noticed you have links to other tanks as well, but I don't know if any of them include plus sizes. Would it be possible to make a note if any of your links include plus sizes? It would be so helpful for someone like me who thinks, "That shirt would be perfect for me!" - only to find out that no, this store also does not want my business. Thanks for your help.
Old navy has great basics in plus size - camisoles, tank tops, linen pants etc I wear a size 18 / 2x and the xl and xxl (depending on the item) fit me very well!!!! Old navy items hold up very well for me and old navy has great sales all the time!!
Great suggestions. I love the wider ribbing on the tank too. I wish makers of linen pants would stop with those wide elastic waists. They are HOT. Our climate is getting hotter. The best linen shorts I bought a few decades ago just had a drawstring with a small bit of thin elastic on the back only. They were so refreshing to wear in the heat of summer.

I bought two white and two bright pink tanks. I’m not sure why I bought two of the same colors in different brands. Now I need to fin ,y white linen shirt and I have a bright pink linen shirt too. Because my upper arms do not need to be seen. I found a pair of white jeans that are kind of thin material. I wore them last night to my granddaughter’s graduation. It had rained and cooled down. And I was freezing. And had a wet butt from sitting on the bleachers at the stadium. It was a nice ceremony. But boy was I glad to stand up no move around. I have a pair of Sam Edelman sandals that look like your Tory Burch ones. They’re even the same material. Patent leather. I almost wore them last night. But I deceive on my comfy Clark flip flops. I did buy some shoes to try. But nothing fit. So they’re all going back.

I think the substantial ribbing in the tank also gives it some structure, which helps to elevate the style.

Talbots has most of their styles in plus sizes. If your size isn't in the stores, you can order online.

I love linen on everyone but on me I look like a wrinkled mess. Is there a linen look alike that does not wrinkle.
