AirNav was actually one of the data providers to FlightRadar and many aviation industry companies. But it is more focused on B2B so you may not hear of it.
Great video!! I can use this to show my family what I'm doing all the time when tracking flights... they think I'm crazy lol but it's just a rare interest/ hobby that most people haven't heard of.
Hi Sam, This is what I would like to see one day: Becoming a pilot of a major airline! Too old to achieve that goal now; but, perhaps in my next life. Thank you for all the joy you provide me on aviation.
And why not a camera with a state of the art zoom capacity to pick out landmarks along the way. This would be ideal on long haul flight from let's say, Australia to the U.K.
Lots of changes since the early days. I used to experience with this using a Yupiteru airband receiver on the 130 something frequencies feeding the data direct in a program on my laptop and see the stuff appear on the display. MAGIC! From the south of the Netherlands i could see planes all the way overhead the Northsea. Keep up the good work.
I live directly under the flight path of inbound jets in Nashville Tennessee. I have clocked a Boeing 747 which is rare except for FedEx at 1100 ft over our house, cockpit lined up directly. I figured out which days the outbound turns the inbound and we'll sit out on my back porch or on top of the caboose that's in our backyard. This is an awesome app, this is the one and only flight tracker app that I have ever downloaded and I basically every phone that I have this and a few other apps are one of the first that download. Being this close to the airport I feel like I have an advantage it's a rare treasure
Hi Sam Paul In Kent 17 miles from London I use Airnav systems with my roof top Antenna I get 300 miles range from my house last week was able to track aircraft in Belgium and Germany
I like spotting planes but I never have the time to photograph them. I was in Tehran yesterday and saw some well cared for A300-600’s. Quite a rare treat.
You can also see that the aviation is opening up agian. Like in Billund (where i live) there was like 5 flights daily (2020) but now it is normally 10 flights daily.
Dear Sam in addition over oceanic Airspace if CPDLC conversation can be displayed and over land voice communication can be heard by tracked aircraft will make it very interesting
I always view with great interest. You are extremely objective and informative. Great presentation! Keep up your good work...keep entertaining us. God bless you.
Oh wow, I noticed your flight from TOA to SBD... SBD is my local International Airport, although I'm based at REI (Redlands, CA). That's super cool, I didn't know you've been legitimately local to me. SBD is a really cool airport considering it is one of those lesser known International Airports close to ONT and LAX. Have you been to Luxivair at SBD?
Awesome Information through your video sam. Truly appreciate it. I think you can make Quite Technical videos Now. It would be interesting for all of us.
Hello boss (sam) nyc to see u 😁 I used to track from flight radar but after using AirNav I felt like this is very user friendly & so so sooo informative as well we can listen the tower tats makes me interesting ……… 😇🤩
I think it would be more of an accessory to the application, the delay time from when the plane lands until you leave the terminal, both on domestic and international flights. Greetings
Feature that I recommend for tracking is for AIRPORT - when aircraft landed how much will be it's TURN AROUND time in a perticular AIRPORT/AIRLINE. this will help in PREDICTING how much will be possible for that perticular airport if aircraft is delay in landing
Great work guys....I would like to know two things, first the flight plan plotted (filled to ATC) in order to compare it with the actual route. Second a map with the destinations of every airline but separated by fleet or even sub fleet.... many thanks!
Not a single woman or colored person in that work place! Breath of fresh air from the usual multi-culti rainbow work places. No doubt behind the reason this system is so respected, efficient and functional. Carry on gentleman, great work. Keep doing what you're doing, the way you're doing it. Boa sorte
Nepalese domestic airlines are not shown on radar mostly. i would love to see them since there are many delay flights from and in kathamndu. also eagerly waiting for your National airlines cargo flight vlog to Kathmandu! Lots of love from NEPAL!
I got my first AirNav Radarbox back to 2009.I was a new tech at that time and i put that in my office during my shift and track the aircraft before the web base stuff came in.
I live in Bengal gulf which is located in eastern side of India and it's one of the busiest airspace corridor between east and west bound countries, so I track most of the aircrafts whenever it goes over my house.
I am really surprised that given the popularity with spotters that these flight tracking apps don't have a way to record the aircraft you have spotted/flown on. To me this feature just seems like it would be an obvious addition.
Hello Sam. I would like to see the same camera feeds from my computer what i see in for example in qatar airways flight as a passenger from the seat monitors. The nose camera, the rear camera etc. That would be really cool. you could experience so much more with this feature.
I have a flightradar24 nod at home and I am able to track any aircraft in real-time. Being part of my hobby I also monitor VHF and HF communication from the aircrafts and I know exactly from which waypoint the aircraft reports. I stay in the landing track of Chennai international airport VOMM and spot planes physically also.
I would like to see more of a full picture interactive collaboration between X-Plane, Microsoft Flight Sim and Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center for full scale training.
Great video....the feature i want to see the most is the ability to track military aircraft which fly over my house...I just want to see what aircraft they are. Cheers then....Mark :-)
It is fantastic. Is it available as an app for my phone? Can it provide flight history on a particular plane that may have crashed and now assist with the investigation of root cause?
Hi Sam … as always love watching your videos . By the way there is a new airport in Sikkim India . That is just closer to the broader of China . Just wanted to let you know…. Just in case you would like fly in there .
I think, live carbon footprint by an aircraft should be reflected in the flight tracking apps. This will create awareness about the environmental impacts by a flight. And, maybe, also the fuel consumption by an aircraft in any given time of its flight should appear in the flight tracking apps.
