My daughter is now 22 and we still love the time for decorating our house and baking for the Christmas season and gifts. She has left home now but has carried on this and is making her own beeswax with essential oils candles as gifts this year as well as little edible gifts. She’s coming home for Christmas and I have gathered lots of things from my woodland walks for decorating.
I'm very specific when it comes to gifts!! I hate journals, books, mugs, lotion etc.. I LOVE when someone goes out of their way to bake/cook me something. I think that is truly so thoughtful and the best gift ever. I'm very minimal on what I like to own, so the materialistic stuff is not for me :/ I've made friend protein bites before and they loved it!!
Love that you appreciate that friend and your recent uploads look so interesting! Proud of you! A company ownerI love emailed and said your Sabbath post was very helpful to her! Made my day and I told her I would let her know. Grateful for you!
Another Hobby Lobby gift idea is their bulk note cards. They have gorgeous box sets of note cards with beautiful prints. I love to keep them in stock for myself and I love to gift them. They occasionally are on sale for 40% off, too. And their labels are fun! Who likes licking envelopes? Also, their “plain” gift labels are a neat treat for around the house or a pretty addition to a wrapped gift. My all-time favorite gift is candied pecans. Allrecipes has a simple recipe and I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like them. I give them to guests visiting my church, I take them with me when I travel, they are a Christmas morning staple for my family… 👍🏻 Some of my favorite little gifts have been plants or food, too. 😊 And I’m always grateful if a gift includes a gift receipt. I want to be a wise steward of what God gives me and it’s sometimes so helpful and useful to exchange a gift.
As someone who cannot bake to save my life, a fresh load of bread and some nice spicy and sweet jam would be lovely 😊 a photo album or scrapbook would make a great gift for grandparents.
Yes, I know a sweet photo album is something our grandparents would love too! And I am convinced you could make this bread! I always say bad homemade bread still tops store-bought bread any day. You could do it!
As someone who is trying to minimize the amount of stuff in my house, I’m pretty selective about what I bring in and the colors that I choose, so while I will appreciate the thoughtfulness behind a gift like a mug or tea towel, I may not keep it. Sorry! Some gifts I would love to receive are: -delicious treats, especially if the giver considered our allergies! Those protein balls sound delicious and would absolutely be a hit. -a beautiful, low maintenance plant. -a homemade cookie or soup mix in a jar, with the recipe attached. -a handwritten letter with words of encouragement or appreciation. -homemade vanilla, or a spice mix. -Fragrance free lip balm or hand creams, especially if they have clean ingredients.
I’m with ya there! I’ve become so intentional in items I bring into my home - it’s hard to keep something I’ll never or rarely use. I’m a big fan of gift receipts.

Lana, this was such a blessing. I love the simplicity and thoughtfulness you put into your videos.
selfmade Gifts I enjoyed:
wool socks for Germanies cold winters
personalized books and journals
cake and pie
plants in a nice pot
❤
OH the socks sound dreamy!
I love the artwork idea 💡 for grandparents and loved ones
These were such great ideas, Lana! (Also, from a fellow UA-camr, your lighting is on point in this video 👌🏼 😂)

The soup in a jar would be so handy! Great ideas!
