@@CanterburyCottage I have 7 siblings. All are alive, some not so much in perfect health but we're here. Mom is 1 month shy of 93. She had a fall and since needs a walker for stability. We all take turns being with her, 24/7. I know it's inevitable, but I can't see my life w/o her.
Thank you! I sure miss my mom. She was a very petite woman, and she always wore those small watches, so framing that clock face will be a nice reminder.
These crafts were so thoughtful. I loved the memento of your Mom. How could it even be possible that your brother won’t love it! Adding the watch face was so special. 🎄
Thank you, Jeanne-Marie! My brother watches all of my videos, but I sure hope he doesn’t watch today. I really want the watch to be a surprise. My mom always wore one of those small watches, so it is such a reminder of her.
I still wear my mom's old stretch band watches, long before battery watches, most don't work and idc, but one wind up timex does and I love them as accessories.
My oldest daughter just moved into her first apartment. I will definitely be making the door ornament for her. What a sweet reminder of this big step in her life.
As always I loved everything! However, the mom ornaments touched my heart. I lost my only sibling and parents several yrs ago within a short period of time. Plus my brother and I have birthdays 5 days apart this month so it’s always a hard month. I think making a few ornaments is in order. I also know others that struggle during the holidays with losses, so this is a wonderful idea, thank you ❤️
I am so sorry for your losses. That must have been such a hard time, losing your brother and both parents. Christmas is such a happy time of year, but it can also bring up many sad memories. Hope you have a happy and blessed Christmas!
These are really cute ideas. Loved the watch idea. A few years back, my family lost my Dads Mom, my nanny. We all got some of her things and I asked for her pjs. Any of the pjs that didn’t fit me or were too worn, I made something for everybody in the family. I cut pieces of her pjs out in heart shapes. I filled them with stuffing and sewed them into small pillows with a ribbon. I wanted them to be obvious that the were from her, so I found an old card with her handwriting saying I love you. I made it a lil tag for each pillow. I love visiting family and seeing the heart pillows displayed.
LOVE the book gift box idea for my grandkids! They love to read and all have favorite books! Great Idea…to fill with their favorite candy, little earrings, etc. Thank you!
Wow, I just want to congratulate you on compiling so many genuinely unique ideas! And I like that you put your own twist on some of the more common ones. Thank you for sharing these, as my life has been too chaotic and by the end of each day I don't have any creative juice left!
Oh my goodness, Sherry‼️what wonderful gift ideas❣️The front door with house number & wreath was so cool! Also the fake books with sweets, so much FUN❗️Your framed music with watch, made my heart warm💜 My mom died when I was 14. You made me think of her favorite things she liked. Thank you for that❣️And of course, your earrings 😮 WOW 😻
Thank you, Pegeen! 😊 I’m so sorry that you lost your mom at such a young age. I feel so fortunate to have had my mom as long as I did, but I sure do miss her. She always wore those little watches, so the framed watch face is such a strong reminder of her.
Sherry, the Memento for Mom made me tear up, I have a King size bed spread made from cotton thread my Mom made, it's too beautiful to get rid of and this is just the right craft idea to make a memory in honor of my Mother, may she rest in peace. Thank you!!!
Moms make the holidays special, so this time of year certainly brings up so many memories! I’m so glad that I could share an idea for creating a keepsake.
Thank you, Valerie! I frequently see those large beverage dispensers at the thrift store, and it ended up being the perfect size for this gift. (Plus, he get a beverage dispenser, too!)
Good afternoon, Sherry! These diy gifts are fun and budget friendly! I especially love the memory frames in honor of your Mom. I will have to create something like that for my dearly departed Papa. Thank you for always inspiring! Great job on the lighted outdoor Christmas tree, too! 🎄
Good afternoon, Bobbie! Thank you! My mom always wore one of those small watches, so framing the watch face is such a reminder of her. I sure miss her. I know you must miss your Papa, too.
Sherry, as usual your ideas are fantastic but the ornaments you made in memory of your Mother are truly thoughtful and beautiful while being classic at the same time. I feel the need to create something for my Mother now as well. Thank you♥️
Thank you, Lola! My mom is on my mind even more than usual during the holidays, so I’m always looking for ways to honor her. I’m so glad you liked the idea, too! 😊

I love each and every one of your ideas, the door decoration I will be making for my son who recently bought a house not far from me.Thank you so much for all your lovely ideas all the year long.🎄
Loved these thoughtful gift ideas. The books with the candy inside were so clever and the framed memento of your mom was so sweet. Thanks for once again giving us great ideas
I love the keepsake you created in honor of your mom. So thoughtful and personalized. Love the bookmark, too. The book boxes turned out looking amazing. I have used the battery operated tealight candles to make snowman ornaments. Add the face using a Sharpie. Glue a piece of pipe cleaner across the top of the snow man's head. Think: ear to ear. Add a small pom pom to each end of the pipe cleaner. Voila! Earmuffs on your snowman. Hot glue a loop of ribbon or twine to the back top and hang on tree or tie to a gift bag.
I’m pretty sure I say the same thing video after video of yours but I’m left speechless every time and that’s probably why I can’t think of nothing new to say when “ you blow my mind with your creativity “!!!!! Awesome ideas! Genius ideas! Tyfs

Love the “books” with the candy hidden inside! It might be what I need to do so my kids don’t always steal my candy 😂😝 I really love the fairybell light tree…I definitely need to check them out.
Such good ideas..love the ideas of taking something personal or memorable and putting it in a frame, or the sewing and ice-cream jar to make it personal. Those jars could be filled with all kinds of interests....for the gardener. Or fisherman, or coffee lover...love the pillow....I might try the snowman card with a small tea light that already has a flickering nose...I look forward to all the fun things you come up with sherry....thank you Sherry..

That little gift tag is adorable and I have all the ingredients, but I am so Christmas crafting worn out and lazy to do anything else.🤣 well, maybe tomorrow, TFS. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤
I just love the framed watch/remembrance gift. My mom passed six years ago and I inherited several of her best Seiko watches. Thank you so much for sharing your clever idea. 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🎄
Hi Sherry. Great video today as always! Very heartfelt ideas for lots of people virtually everyone knows. Loved them all. The ice cream canister was adorable. I made a sewing kit for my daughter when she went off to college.
Thank you, Lee! I did not make sewing kits for my boys when they left for college (because they would not have used them😜), but I made these for their girlfriends. At Thanksgiving, I heard my son asking his girlfriend if she knew how to sew on a button!

These are very creative projects Sherry. I especially loved the tea light tags (adorable), the red door (looked so real) and the ornament you made with your Mom's things (I will have to make one of those for my Mom who passed several years ago). But they were all terrific.
