Just found you, liked and subscribed and I’m not halfway through the video! Love your voice, your manner and I haven’t even seen the garden yet! Looking forward to savoring it. Thanks from Florida, USA.
Hi from Pennsylvania USA! This is just my style, three or four different kinds of pots filled with airy pinks and purples with a touch of white and yellow. Lovely!
I garden in the ground and containers too. It gets to 105 f easily in the summer in high desert in Utah, US. I can move the plants in containers to shade if it gets to hot. I love arranging them around my sitting areas, and they are wonderful to arrange for fun occasions like an outdoor lunch or tea. To over-winter I bank them against my house, blow leaves on them, fill the gaps with short logs, rolled up cardboard, or paper bags stuffed with leaves. Our overnight winters can be as low as 5 f, and I have been very successful this way. Thanks for the great video, loved your 2 biggest!
Hello! I absolutely love all your beautiful plants! I too love container gardening its great because like you said you can move things around plus i have a smaller backyard so its perfect! Going to the garden center is my happy zone! Happy gardening everyone!
Nice to see I'm not the only one that budgets money on a regular basis for plants.....I've been doing it for years.....Going shopping for plants and flowers for my yard is my most favorite thing to do each year......You go crazy with the plants like me.....The more the better.....It's nice to see how other people plant.....It would be pretty boring if we all did it the same way.....I like getting ideas from others.......It looks great!.....Enjoy your beautiful plants while sitting out on your patio.....Thank You for sharing.
I loved what you said about "loving learning". Such fun! Now that I'm aging and can't do as much in the garden without days of hobbling around, I'm doing more with native plants. A whole new field to learn about!
I love my pocket gardens when they are newly planted up and freshly graveled and mulched. But then I also love them when they've gone a bit wild and escaped the confines of their pots. Healthy gardens are in a constant state of flux and all states are appealing.
This has given me inspiration! I have a fair few pots which are empty, I just lack the courage with what to put in them....looking forward to seeing how they work out!
You put together gorgeous plant combinations in your containers. I took a few notes so i could copy you in some of mine. Thank you, again, for sharing.
Oh I laughed about the heat wave in Ireland. I’m in California where it is 100 plus 7 months of the year. I lose so many plants 😮😮😮 love your containers!!!!
I love container gardens for all the reasons you mentioned! When we moved, we decided to have some low maintenance landscape in ground plants and a lot of container plants and tomatoes.
As I have learned…if they go away it is an opportunity to plant something else….I am 71 and have had flower garden mysteries (hate to call them mistakes) since I started. My first garden was tulips looking (sadly) like little red soldiers in uniform rows…Since then I have learned and have loved the experience. Good for happiness, soul and heart…make a “mistake” oh well another opportunity !
❤❤ this so so pretty we garden the same in pots just love what you can create All you need to do now is a glass of your favourite sit enjoy your new blooms 🎉. Sincerely Tracey 😊
Just watching this before I head out to do a couple of planters. The soil in my garden needs cultivating so planters are easier for me in the meantime.
This is exactly what I wanted to find. Thank you soooo much for this video 🥰 so pretty. I’m just starting out and thinking potting flowers is a good start.
Really enjoyed this, Karen. I am mad for a Foxglove but they seem hard to get. But I won't give up!!! Just thought it was worth a mention - Woodies DIY have, what I call, the cart where plants go to die. They are usually about €1 each and all they need is a good drink of water to revive them. I've a gorgeous bed of things from last year all from Woodies! My Lupins are miserable looking at the moment - the flowers have gone and they're all stalky with hairy seed pods. Hoping to save some of these for next year as well. (Did I actually say hairy seed pods?????? Kerrist almighty!)
I love this! You’ve given me inspiration for my container garden. I am in The US, Colorado and I am impatiently waiting for the start of my garden season. Also, thanks for showing the books! I’m a sucker for good gardening books.
Great flower haul! I’m in San Diego, at the coast & am loving our yard this year! But am not having much luck with a few potted plants. Not sure why. Too much??too little water??? Ach!
@@Lovelygirliebits cottage garden is exactly what i want too and Some salvias sre really drifty/ floaty in the ground. Getting ahead of myself though. The whole place is on a slope and has to be levelled, so next step will be to work on my propagation skills so I don’t lose any favourite plants long term
I'm in Canada and really like this video. I doubt these plants would survive in pots through heavy snow and cold. So I wonder if I put them into my unheated garage this coming winter if they would survive? All my potted hostas come back every year after overwintering in garage. * Note try to find another potting soil, I noticed you are using Miracle gro which is synthetic and toxic. There are lots of organic potting soil and then amend with compost and natural fertilizer.
Awe lass I missed you and wondered why you not been on your blog thing , sorry you been unwell ,hopefully you well on the mend now ,but take care of yourself ,your harvest looks great and bet it’s sooooooo tasty . Get back to full health xxxxxxx❤
Girl! You sure did do some damage! But it was money well spent. I love the was it came out. Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to subscribe so I can see what else you’ve done.
"Just a look" how many times I have said that. Im very much the same much prefer the interest rather than seeing everything all at once. New subscriber 😊
As a Brit living in S Florida, I can tell you that you’ll never be 100% satisfied with your arrangements. I have a lot of pots, most of which I buy used since they’re expensive over here. I have to stop myself buying more, just because I find a good deal. Also, no gardener can just go window shopping for plants.
you're not a new gardener just because you've only been doing it for 3 or 4 years, I'm 68 now and I used to be taken down to my dads allotment in my push chair , I've been growing for as long as I can remember but I learn something new everytime I go in the garden and anyone who says they know everything ... steer clear of themthey're full of errr fertiliser. Enjoy your garden. nick
Just wanted to point out that sometimes you mention the VARIETY name, not the plant name. For example, the plant you described as "Geyser White", is actually a GAURA, Geyser White is the variety.

Love this as I’m currently living with an anti garden flower family member….Well the deck will be fabulous!
Nice job! Beautiful!
yes know what you mean. I love looking out into the garden and seeing all the colours from the plants.
This has given me inspiration! I have a fair few pots which are empty, I just lack the courage with what to put in them....looking forward to seeing how they work out!
This is exactly the kind of confession I needed today

Me, too! Rocky Ford! I can't wait, either. Winter is sure hanging on this year.

I am a pot gardener. What I do with old pots I turn them up and put under pots to make them taller

So beautiful!😍😍 where did you get all your lovely pots frrom? I think im going to have to try recreate everything you have done. 💗
I have enough plants..says no gardener ever 🤣🤣🤣🤣.. I get in trouble just looking!!..

I literally have my entire garden in pots as live in rented property, absolute ballache last year with a hosepipe ban last year 😂
Oh no! We had a really wet summer here last year, which was handy for the pots, but not for the rest of the garden!
I haven’t seen a new garden video in two weeks. I hope everything is ok. You are missed!
One is coming tomorrow! 😍

I love that! Totally full of fertiliser! It's so great that we can still learn something new every day, isn't it!
Just wanted to point out that sometimes you mention the VARIETY name, not the plant name. For example, the plant you described as "Geyser White", is actually a GAURA, Geyser White is the variety.
Oh I know, I’m not a professional with still plenty to learn and have no doubt I’ll say the wrong thing for many years to come 😂
What is the name of the flower that looks like a dragon?
It’s a salvia amistad 😍
Do you follow Claus Dalby? What inspiration!
Going to look him up now!
So pretty! This is why I’m not allowed in garden centres by myself🥹😅
