If you ever get in a pinch and need to drive it for a couple weeks before you have the time to get to new terminals you can always run a small screw top down to keep them snug for a while. Not a permanent fix but can save your ass in a pinch. Thanks for the vids bud.

Same damn problem just happened to my truck instead of running down buying new cables if you take a cut off wheel take the bolt out of your battery terminals and remove some of the lead with the cutoff wheel it'll squeeze tighter and that way you won't have to interrupt your factory connection with the cables it's a lot easier

Thanks for the info on the charging problem. When I get battery terminals that can't be tightened, and are not corroded, I take out the bolt, put vice grips on to clamp them shut, and hack saw a kerf in the part line. Then I put the bolt back in and they will tighten on the post.

I hope you know they make batteries with different size post and the won’t tighten up good and they sell led caps to go over your post to make the tight but not the best but it works. Like your channel because you come across as a nice guy and that’s a good thing .

I usually just get the lead terminal caps that you can put over the ends of the battery terminal. They're just lead and you just make sure it's really clean when you put it all together and then you clamp it back down over the increased lead size
Much love bother. I have a 2012 dodge ram 6.7. My alternator took a dump. Bought two new batteries. Still shows low voltage. I think is the alternator fuse. But I cannot find the part number. Please help
What display is that? I just bought an 08 and it has one but it doesn't turn on. It's got some deletes and some obvious aftermarket stuff but I feel like there's more to be had. It just has one cable going into it....
I've never had much luck with those type of replacement terminals, the open copper wires invited too much corrosion within a year. I ended up going with "InstallGear 2/4/8/10 Gauge AWG Positive & Negative Battery Terminal Clamp and Shims".

In a pinch you can grind it wider so the bolt has another 1/8 inch to close tightly on the battery
Haha I was in a pinch and I removed the terminal bolt and used a grinder to remove material on the contact area so now it's tight again. Can't wait to see what's going on with the turbskis

I've been doing that for loose terminals for decades. I would just use a hacksaw blade to widen the gap where the bolt tightens it.

as I understand we could choose between 1 turbo or 2 turbos .if you have 2 turbos there be more horsepower and the question is what is needed to make it stiffer and stronger.just to reploace 1 turbo is easier.sunday morning yes raining but have a meeting from stingray82 Camaro corvette and firebird. then next week or after mi birthday like to drive to Germany kleve .

Hey bud my problem is that my wire coming from my alternator is gettin hot. I have had my passenger side battery tested and it’s good also changed out my crossover wire. I can’t figure this out
Something is pulling some amps. You have a clamp meter? Maybe use that and try disconnecting or turning off anything suspect and looking at the reading...
What did you use to cut the thick battery cables with and yeah make a video of the lasfit led lights I just ordered some today should be here next week sometime thanks for the videos

So I just bought a 03 ram 2500 with the 5.9l is it much different than the 6.7 that you have?
Yes and no. There arent a lot of parts that are interchangeable between them. But how they run and mods that can be done to each are very similar. Just have to make sure the parts are made for the 5.9 Cummins not the 6.7 cause most likely it wont fit

Get a high output alternator brother!
I know this is an old video, but they make terminal shims. You typically need them with optima’s from the start, if not this is what happens, you coulda still installed them. 2 dollars

Just had this problem lmao my alternator stopped charging got 3 new alternators burnt all the alternators i cleaned every single ground check every power lines and cleaned it installed a new alternator and so far I’m good I’m at 14 volts

@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL I changed batteries that what triggered it, the connectors were nasty. Cleaned them till they were nice and shinny. Coated them in vassiline and that solved the problem

I use amsoil lubricants and filtration bypass system on my 5.9 Cummins and my wife’s Audi Q5 TDI amsoil European oil and gear oils. Along with Adam’s auto detail products as well. Just did my 5.9 battery terminals and Odyssey batteries extreme. I used to run optima but not as good as they used to be years ago so far so good on the Odyssey batteries. When ahead replaced the alternator with the 150 amp for future audio system and lighting I want to put on it. Black and white combo on my Dodge. Looking forward to rebuilding the front end with Carli steering components and suspension. My next project.

Shouldn't the oil be 15w30 for a diesel? I've always ran 15w30 Rotella in my diesels. Just asking...
The battery clamps should be just tight enough that you can't spin them on the post. If it spins, bump it a bit more until it can't spin you'll be good for ever... USE DIELECTRIC grease. its cheap and it keeps the oxidation from forming on the connections. I use it for EVERY connection.
That's exactly what I did thanks for the input man!! I ran 5w-30 in the winter and I'm running 15w30 now. Gonna go back to 5w30 I had slightly better fuel economy and quieter
30???? 0w 40 for winter and 5w 40 in summer unless you tow heavy all day every day then 15w40 for summer and 5w40 in winter
