25$ is underselling his skills too much.... I felt sad :( He's easily one of the most worth in this episode.
Some Fivers who are just getting started will start with low pricing to get clients and receive top ratings. Then they can start to up their price!

Professional editor and director here. I would say that all of this depends so much on the direction given to the editor. Most of the times the direction is incorporated into how the piece is going to be edited, so it's unusal to see first edits based on just the material and music alone without any direction. I like these kinds of experiments because it's a look into the creative process of the first edit, the actual one editors can do on their own before directors, producers and clients have their say. I think most of these were well done, but I don't think the price difference is really a justified comparison. Price can also be about how experienced the editor is working with directors and producers. There are many people really creative who never worked in a collaborative manner and that's where the price usually shows itself. The ability to consistently input creative quality for each and every iteration of feedback from others. So even though some high paid editors might be considered less good in these edits, they might be well worth it in a collaborative space. Since there's so much else going on in commercial editing, with target audiences, visions, company identity markers etc. it's very hard to actually know the direction just based of music and material.
So I would say, all of these creative editors did a fine job. It's hard to value between them due to the factors above. But it's interesting to see how things like this plays out. It's just important to remember that editing is collaborative and that follow-up feedback run-throughs are just as much a part of the process as these first edit results.
I guess the only one who is bad here is the one who didn't respect the 30 seconds requirement then

@@socrattt yeah
No the $500 guy is just did a bad edit, and it seems he has only basic editing skills, the key point of the $500 guys one was "Its in reverse", which doesn't even make sense
Although the 500$ guy is expensive - I like his style. He didn't just focus on editing but went ahead by incorporating a story so his style is so different and unique. Even without the voice over, as a viewer you would know the message he wants to give and showed it.
Yeah 25 is too less for that
$25 might have been the lowest player, but he is the only one who put a piece of his soul in the commercial for every dollar he got.
All hail $25 dollar guy.
25$ was great but 35$ guy imo was my top time favorite. Just the great music and it makes you feel hungry while watching with a "classy pizza with time and craft" feel kinda put into it i really like for upper middle pizza.

The first one you could hear a crackling fire at the oven, that is the one thing that sold me. First video was the best. That was an excellent touch.
funny I thought that was so cheesy and didnt fit
I both agree and disagree. I loved the crackling, but it was too "in your face" where as the shot wasn't. It needed to be quieter and less clear IMO

The 500$ one might be the most video-technically unique, however from a marketing standpoint I would prefer the 25$ one.

Yass
No the oil noise at 3:14 is cringe
Trygve Hals Butenschøn came here to say exactly this. Great display of skill for a reel, but won’t sell more pizzas. I’d go with the Lukas voiceover one, if it was my store.
Yeah. It was way too complicated which kind of makes you focus on the editing rather than the product.
Insulting to professional editors and basically a 10 minute ad like Seto says. He's lucky he found an editor who undersells themselves.
The 25$ bucks one deserves top 1 in my opinion. The 500$ is very good, at is at least second, but the 25$ one is by far the most effective
Next time, rate all the videos without seeing the price tags and then reveal the prices for each of them
I think that’s why the $500 is getting a lot of hate, and a lot of love. After seeing some fantastic ads for $100 or less, theres no possible way the $500 one could differentiate enough to show $400+ worth of difference, it’s just not possible. I also think he loved the $500 so much partially because he felt he had to.

th super expensive one by the israeli chick was way better but the canadian market would be weirded out by how it goes backwards then forwards really quick.
That last video was fire!! I love the reverse effects! Sick!!
This is One of the best videos I have ever watched on UA-cam
The $500 edit was the most unique, perhaps the most memorable for the customer: "oh it's pizza ad where they reverse the making of a pizza"
i hated it at first look, but now i think it's kinda good
It’s still bad. Cheese coming OFF a pizza just didn‘t look appetizing. I would’ve glossed over it if I saw it on tv. Granted, I don‘t like how the b-roll was filmed in the first place, so that added on to the dislike. But the whole reverse thing with the ingredients just does not work well with cooking. People are trying to see the finished dish, not the dish being unmade, made, halfway completed, still being made, then random cheesy pizza at the end.
@@shadypalmtree2989 slow mow cool
you small pp = small brain
@@shadypalmtree2989 IMO, this is the costs more = better product fallacy at work. The reverse video is very common, I saw it used tens of times. Very well edited, but not really innovative... and kinda weird in some parts.
100$ is the best
The crackling fire on the $25 woulda sold me immediately.
True!
I also loved the guzzle noise of the sauce bottle
Should have been leveled a little better panned slightly and had some eq
Same! I don’t know if these people really don’t have a refined experience with pizza or what, but the most appetising appearance of the pizza is when it is in the oven; not when sad and flat looking ingredients are being scooped from metal Subway containers. Cheese melting and forming bubbles, the fire cracking, the ingredients changing colour from the heat... that’s what makes someone’s mouth water. Pizza in Italy is a refined experience every single time, and that’s what every pizza commercial should be aiming.
That audio is from a fireplace tho..it sounded slightly off to my ears. Idk if anybody else agrees.

The difference between the $500 edit and the $25 one is that, although the most expensive one has the best transitions, it makes the viewer a bit sick because of all the reverse shots while the $25 edit lets you pay more attention to the product (which is the whole purpose of an add) and it even makes you HUNGRYwith those shots and, specially, those sound effects of the pizza being cooked. He really needs to rise his prize!
Totally! I feel like the £500 one was amazing for like a hiphop music video but definitely not an ad
Oh come on. The $500 one was the most creative and appealing for me. The guy that charged $25 should charge more of course, but it was nowhere near the $500 one.
The $500 was amazing, got me chills with a pizza commercial and now I am hungry
Funny because for me the 25$ gives me a bit of motion sickness with the rapid zooms and turns. He definitely needs to raise his price tho.
Agreed. There is something to be said about just letting the viewer see the hot, steaming, moist food. 500 dollar is certainly the best edited, but the goal isn't to win an editing competition, it's to sell pizza.
30 second voice over costs much more than hours of editing video. Just be born talented! Cmon.
The voice over with your edit is awesome!
rich people: buying house, cars...
*actually rich people: paying 25$ to a guy who only charges 10$ on fiver*
But Fiverr payed him for all of this so...

The funny thing is that the first clip was from he guy who started the charge for $10, and honestly that’s very good
@@robertbath3122 that's a thing called "joke"
Imagine if 25$ dollar guy was getting paid 500 instead

25$ guy cant even color granding clip tbh...
Yeah I definitely agree with you, pizza making is a fast and snappy process thus requiring a fast and snappy but appetising edit style. Slow edited are for fine dining and artisan businesses showing off textures, wide aperture close up possibly with some ASMR (where appropriate) good vid, subscribed!
there is this song from paolo conte it’s called via con me and the first voiceover gives off the same vibe… so honestly for me it’s a perfect fit for a pizza ad
*Next video: WITHOUT seeing the price, try to guess how much you paid for each.* - as always, great video Daniel!
Dope idea 👌
Yep
e nada de video né?
Exactly what I was thinking. My jr.high science classes had an entire unit on bias and how to avoid it and no one ever seems to consider that.
