All due respect Lord Vader, but you don't. This is by far the worst garbage I have ever seen in a video format and no self respecting client would want to endure the visual diarrhea shown in these videos. One of the things that is so good about B is that there are a bit of slow-motions between transition, allowing audience more time to see each ingredients and what is happening is each scene.
Editor A: Made everything looks kinda blurry and out of focus WTF? But is still good Editor B: Consistent, good transitions, good sound design and color grading Editor C: Made the transitions so fast that it looks like a action movie fight scene, and you'll never understand where the food is going, Right? Left? Upwards? Only God knows hahaha Editor B wins, pretty easy to choose
@@RobinsonRDavid I started wearing glasses for when I work long hours on my computer and was having a headache trying to keep them spotless. Thanks to your comment I now know why, thank you so so much.
Thank you for showing my video @Daniel Schiffer , I really appreciate that. I like the A Editor, good music and he used another footage of my, that I don't used. and he made the transition with the hand that I had thought before . he saw my footage and just know what I wanted to do. good EYES!!! (only don't like the transition plugins to swipe to the next scene). Editor B was smooth, slowly and a good mixed of all, like the sound and music too, but the "zoom transition plugin wasn't needed here". .I was thinking, I am fast , but C was faster, but still good edit, C wasn't "Daniel Schiffer Style" my opinion. but all of them really Creative.
*Unpopular opinion:* I think the fast transition era is almost at the end, I think now that even Cinematic travel vloggers (kold, Jr Ali etc), who i think "*dare i say*" are the pioneers of fast transitions have moved away from this style of content to story driven content or atleast limited it greatly. I actually think with the introduction with prosumer cinema cams, (Blackmagic, Z-cam, and the Red coming soon) has heavily influenced the step away from the "Videography" style of content to traditional styles of cinematography and editing. I see this when friends go from using Sony's and other video cams to Cine Cams. Great work to everyone though! Some real Skill in editing here 💜💜💜
not sure this is an unpopular opinion or hot take at this point. I went through that phase in my editing style, but I've moved away recently as I felt that the transitions were taking away from my ability to convey a solid and meaningful story. I use almost no fancy fast transitions anymore, not to say they can't be useful, as I think they can still add to a story when used sparingly and properly in terms of quality and timing
@@ianlevine17 I had a very kinetic style when I first got into editing. 2002. I was working as an assistant at the time straight out of film school and I had my editor look at a cut. He said take away all those transitions, they're hiding bad cuts. When I took them away I realized the cuts weren't working, they WERE hiding the bad edits. This forced me into re-thinking how I cut images together and built my career from the ground up on it. Working in film tv/doc series now as an editor and I stand by that statement. Trends come and go, classic visual story telling is timeless. There is a time and place for transitions for sure, but they need to be motivated beyond " just looking cool".
A is easily my favorite! The sushi layering transitions weren't as rapid fire & gave me more time to appreciate each shot, and the final knife to sushi roll transition really got me 🤙
A: a little bit too much on motion and transition. It can make someone feels dizzy more than hungry. B: good sound design. not so fast motion and transition can let us know and feel more appetite with the food. C: high speed transition. it's not that bad but it too fast to make me feel anything from great looking sushi and also need to have more sound. all video was edit pretty good but to my taste about food video I choose B
As most people are saying here, the editors went way over the top with the transitions which honestly takes away from the vibe therefore Editor B takes it imo. Much smoother take.
It would be awesome to have him shoot some video and release it to everyone to see what people would produce...at least on the editing side of it. If you shoot video, guess just go out and make something on your own.
I feel like the editors are trying mainly to show their skills not the content It's too much editing Especially the reverse transition it's meaningless (look at me i know how to edit)
Also adding a bunch of transitions without good context or making the video what it's meant to is not skill it's just adding a frickin million transitions
Wow! Thanks for allowing me to a part of this challenge again. I must say that I'm blown away with the original edit, what a wonderful job. With my version, I was going for something more commercial but it's interesting to see how others approach it :) In my opinion, everyone did a great job, just different styles. Hey, it's a tough one!
@水生葉 ummmm it was meant to be... the first sushi rolls ever (originated in Japan if u didn’t know) were fish wrapped in sour rice. Avocado was also very commonly used and originated in japan
B was definitely my favourite! The pacing of the transitions was what made it stand out. Although the transitions were creative in A, I just felt like the pacing was too fast and too much was going on. C was unique and different. I like how C had the beginning blacked out so that you could focus on it, but again, just felt there were too many transitions for the pacing and adding the text just emphasized that a lot was going on.
A: Very nice with the spalsh and interesting transistions B: Nice transistions and very nice music, really fits with the video C: Unique intro and different kind of music.
1st one looked a little cheap, 2nd one was perfect but so standard, 3rd one just got my attention and made me comment after seeing he only got 23%, the editing was fresh and new era loved it
I loved the glasses commercial. The sound editing was great too. I love cool transitions but I'm not that much of a fan of fast transitions. I tend to get confused a lot. That's why I liked B's video of the sushi commercial. The normal pace of the video at first slowly transitioning to a little faster pace was just right to me. C's commercial wasn't bad but I felt like the text was unnecessary.
B was definitely my favorite. The perfect story and amount of transitions. A was good, a close second behind B. C personally made my eyes hurt, there were wayyyy too many transitions and it made it hard for the viewer to understand what was happening.

I couldn't see the poll for some reason but for me, the best was B. The others were good but the transitions were a bit too overkill imo. B was more relaxing
It’s clear this is less of a make a commercial and more just show off what you know. What product are you trying to sell and how can you convince your audience that they need it? It’s not about how many spins your camera can make, it’s about appealing to the senses. It’s like a when someone writes a paper using luxurious words without knowing their meaning
I loved edit A, the slo-no and transitions were very tasteful and it made it easy for me to process what was actually going on in the video. Very impressive :)
"Authentic *American* Sushi" Here, I fix it for you. Never in my 1 year stay in Japan that Sushi is made with bell pepper or avocado. It is mostly vegetables and some type of fish (and wasabi) for Maki-sushi. I like Nigiri better though, the simple taste and the chewyness takes time to appreciate but it is my favorite in its simplicity.
A good editor knows how to balance the transitions. This feels like a competition on who can fit the most transitions in one video..
That's why I liked Glasses the most.

Idk what community was voting but Jesus they should have picked glasses.
They made great choices but ok

the text chain thing at the beginning of C was so weird
agreed, it felt cheesy and out of place
Reminded me of something James Matthews does in his “Edit and Chill” series but it comes across 10x better.
i actually liked the beginning and thought it would def catch my attention if I was watching TV and the commercials started playing. i would've tuned it for it.
It was also too fast I couldn't read it in time. It was really odd.
One of the things that is so good about B is that there are a bit of slow-motions between transition, allowing audience more time to see each ingredients and what is happening is each scene.
Editor A: Made everything looks kinda blurry and out of focus WTF? But is still good
Editor B: Consistent, good transitions, good sound design and color grading
Editor C: Made the transitions so fast that it looks like a action movie fight scene, and you'll never understand where the food is going, Right? Left? Upwards? Only God knows hahaha
Editor B wins, pretty easy to choose
I agree. I could barely understand what was going on in the C video.
Agree.. I think it’s going to be overwhelmingly B when the poll closes.
I agree!
No D wins
Imo I liked editor a's sequence but I agree that it was kinda blurry
B without a doubt, C was the most creative though
She- she just killed her glasses.....
You don’t spray then wipe on glasses. You’re just grinding grit into the lens.
@@RobinsonRDavid no, she sat on it lmao
@@RobinsonRDavid I started wearing glasses for when I work long hours on my computer and was having a headache trying to keep them spotless. Thanks to your comment I now know why, thank you so so much.
Thank you for showing my video @Daniel Schiffer , I really appreciate that. I like the A Editor, good music and he used another footage of my, that I don't used. and he made the transition with the hand that I had thought before . he saw my footage and just know what I wanted to do. good EYES!!! (only don't like the transition plugins to swipe to the next scene). Editor B was smooth, slowly and a good mixed of all, like the sound and music too, but the "zoom transition plugin wasn't needed here". .I was thinking, I am fast , but C was faster, but still good edit, C wasn't "Daniel Schiffer Style" my opinion. but all of them really Creative.
less transitions dude, let the cuts speak for themselves. that will improve your career more than this will.
There is a time and place for transitions for sure, but they need to be motivated beyond " just looking cool".
ya i feel the same, all these cool transactions and filters these days take away the real authenticity and art.
The glasses shot was the cleanest (literally), they should've won
I think B's message "I want to eat sushi" tastes more than the others. I vote B
B
for sure, everything else my eyes got dizzy
damn B made me feel relaxed.
C was also really satisfying too watch, a bit quick, but it was perfect.
A was pretty cool.
Same thought brodah
I have seen nothing. Not even a single poll.
youtube removed all polls :/ they dont exist anymore
Kuchenteig why?
@@DMARION i think they weren't used so much
@@kuchenteig4240 We used them on every video :(
Kireanni. Because, according to youtube they were apparently a way of “gathering information from kids”
As most people are saying here, the editors went way over the top with the transitions which honestly takes away from the vibe therefore Editor B takes it imo. Much smoother take.
C was really did a good job, it's just like when you watch his/her edit it was a fantastic like a real commercial on the T.V!! i was so impressed👏
The question is: how would YOU edit this sushi commercial?
yap my question was that too
It would be awesome to have him shoot some video and release it to everyone to see what people would produce...at least on the editing side of it. If you shoot video, guess just go out and make something on your own.
I thought the last one was his, after he says bye and everything
@@ilariap2966 same lol
I feel like the editors are trying mainly to show their skills not the content
It's too much editing
Especially the reverse transition it's meaningless
(look at me i know how to edit)
this is a very important note. When the editing overtakes the narrative it by definition destroys the editing. It's suppose to be invisible.
@@modernslice2238 Exactly.
the reverse is unrealistic:v
Also adding a bunch of transitions without good context or making the video what it's meant to is not skill it's just adding a frickin million transitions
The point of transitions are to be subtle, well at least they used to😪
B" is the best so far. And second, i would prefer "a". I would choose "c" but it was rather creepy ̄へ ̄
Wow! Thanks for allowing me to a part of this challenge again. I must say that I'm blown away with the original edit, what a wonderful job. With my version, I was going for something more commercial but it's interesting to see how others approach it :) In my opinion, everyone did a great job, just different styles. Hey, it's a tough one!
u was made a good job bro :D like your style too, good eyes for editing 🙌
dont take anything personally. most of us couldn't do what you did. good job!
\
I can't get over the fact that A kept a shot where salt is poured all over the table.
@水生葉 have u ever had sushi because it’s actually very common
@水生葉 ummmm it was meant to be... the first sushi rolls ever (originated in Japan if u didn’t know) were fish wrapped in sour rice. Avocado was also very commonly used and originated in japan
@水生葉 I mean you guys make pizza with steak, yet I don't get mad lol
@水生葉 you sound like a real american.
@@remygudas2040 Avocado absolutely does NOT originate in japan. it is native to the americas.
Editor C because it was really unique to me and since there wasn’t any pole I had to comment.
i agree C was super cool!
Don't you think the captions were a little bit off? It would be cooler if they ended with a caption like how they started with the video.
A: Very nice with the spalsh and interesting transistions
B: Nice transistions and very nice music, really fits with the video
C: Unique intro and different kind of music.
yes yes and yes
Editor: How much transitions you want ?
Daniel: YES
1st one looked a little cheap, 2nd one was perfect but so standard, 3rd one just got my attention and made me comment after seeing he only got 23%, the editing was fresh and new era loved it
The third was seemed to want to show off his editing and transitions more than the content of the video.. which is what ads are about.
Let's be honest we've got motion sickness watchin all of this transitions 😵
Your first video that I did not finished watching
B was definitely my favorite. The perfect story and amount of transitions. A was good, a close second behind B. C personally made my eyes hurt, there were wayyyy too many transitions and it made it hard for the viewer to understand what was happening.
Since there was no pole I vote here: B
B CZAREKPIAST winner!
Clear winner! No competition.
CZAREKPIAST was able to hold my utmost attention for the entire duration of the video.
I am glad you liked it. Daniel !? “What a name” lol 🤘🏽
hahahaha
Little Boy é Brazuka ou Portuga?? Puta video mano, pra mim foi melhor, sucesso brother
NEO NOX Eh noixxxx brazuka!!
Daniel Schiffer it’s because in Brazil it’s “cool” to have a international nick name . For me being a dancer “b-boy” and small “the land before time - little foot” - My name in my crew was Little Boy. 🤷🏻♂️ I know it’s very weird in North America haha !
@@luizhribeiro haha it's not weird! I'm just being a goof :)
I wish I was that stranger. My sushi video is nothing compared to this
Just practise.. You have to practise everyday.. Like editing some short videos everyday. i just make some of the magic trick videos everyday from zack king and other creators. I just try to recreate them without any tutorial videos on youtube
Practice and try to create your own style. Many people are copying Daniel and it looks sloppy AF
greg ap I think of youre going to copy you’ve gotta do it with the intention of learning. If you’re copying to rio him off it’s different than trying to replicate someone’s work to learn the ins and outs. Just my input idk hahaha
Nafees An Noor agreed 100% practice is what makes people like Daniel so iconic. Guy’s been making art for years!

People: too much transitions are making my dizzy
Gordon Ramsay subscribers: *PATHETIC*
When has Gordon done a spinning transition like this?
I really loved the editor C, the dude had a different aesthetic and approach to the editing, really loved the introduction of it, "naughty sushi" lmao.
I couldn't see the poll for some reason but for me, the best was B. The others were good but the transitions were a bit too overkill imo. B was more relaxing
For me, glasses one was best , it has humor, story and a smooth transition
It’s clear this is less of a make a commercial and more just show off what you know. What product are you trying to sell and how can you convince your audience that they need it? It’s not about how many spins your camera can make, it’s about appealing to the senses. It’s like a when someone writes a paper using luxurious words without knowing their meaning
I loved edit A, the slo-no and transitions were very tasteful and it made it easy for me to process what was actually going on in the video. Very impressive :)
I'm here when UA-cam disabled Polls...

"Authentic Sushi"
Proceeds to show a tomato and an avocado.
EDIT: Apparently it's a bell pepper. Which doesn't make it any better.
Sir, that's a bell pepper 😂
Nice u seem to know alot ABT sushi.
"Authentic *American* Sushi"
Here, I fix it for you.
Well that's a bell pepper
@@HadeaRin did you really say you never had avocado on your sushi in Japan? nice cap because they do use avocado
The end of the glasses edit broke me
Honestly glasses video is the best. Clean, smooth, and tells a story. The Sushi one just gave me motion sickness with all of the spinning
I like the glasses one, it sells the product. The sushi ones are just like b-roll for a feature
