      @DDVasher 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah

    • @VoIcanoman
      @VoIcanoman 2 роки тому +1

      I dunno. That sounds kind of boring. Unless they catch the fish FROM the paramotor. Like...trawling, but from the sky. I wonder how slow a paramotor can go, and still maintain a level flight? Something tells me it's probably too fast to catch a fish. I suppose using a baited line is also an option, and just fly around in circles until something bites. That's more doable...but also less awesome.
      EDIT: Oh crap. What about BOWFISHING from a paramotor? That is inarguably the MOST awesome way to catch a fish, FROM THE GROUND. Taking it to the sky would just take it to a new level. You could use your vantage point above the water to spot large fish underneath the surface, nail 'em with an arrow attached to a line, and reel them in. Someone has to try this, if for no other reason than it's the coolest thing ever.

    • @catintheukulelecase1973

      @@VoIcanoman you'd have to be carefull that the arrow line doesn't get tangled

    • @VoIcanoman
      @VoIcanoman 2 роки тому

      @@catintheukulelecase1973 Definitely. I think you'd have to set up a circular (ish) flight path, and shoot into the circle from its perimeter. That way, the arrow line would always be in the same direction relative to the paramotor. It'd be tricky to work the details out, but in the name of the most badass fishing method ever devised, I think it's worth it.

    i am having the same issue. wing too small for my weight and whatever i do i come in way too fast everytime while my buddies land in zero wind like fairies. how about dropping the huge bags in soft grass on the first flyby and then come in for a landing with 15kg less?

    Also, there's an entire universe of "ultralight" camping gear for people who do thru hiking etc. Sleeping bags that are ultra light, tents and most importantly *cooking* gear. No reason you can't prepare food onsite using ultralight gear. Look into the ultralight packing/camping/hiking "culture". You'll see tons of options besides packing a sandwich or the opposite extreme: packing a cooler

    Josh was a little delusional thinking he could take on a bear with a hatchet but other than that good trip. Hatchet was good to have if you wanted to cut wood. Should have one on future camping trips. But if concerned about wildlife, better have a firearm.

      Yeah, a hatchet is utterly useless against a bear. Most effective weapon against bears is by far bear spray. Plus, you don‘t run the risk of wounding or killing a bear that was probably just defending itself.

    You should swap put your sleeping bag and tent for a woobie, bug net and tarp. It's really not cold enough for a sleeping bag and the tent can be replaced with the bug net/ tarp combo for a much lighter and smaller package. Also, carry a silky folding saw. It makes easy work of any wood you find.

    I think Josh is right to be weary of bears. Never can be too carful. I mean it's fine if that's your type, but I prefer twinks myself.

    Sadly this is illegal where I live. In fact, you can't even take off from a normal street or field, has to be an airport. Some restrictions just ruin the fun in a hobby...

    Blackouts before the next scene. Thought my battery went dead. A hatchet to a bear fight is like taking a knife to a gun fight. Just run for the lake...your safe. All you have to do is outrun the last guy.

    I'm curious to know why we only see the parajet nowadays? Have you gone off the scouts? What happened to the Scout adventurer or whatever that souped up version you had for a while?

    @tuckergott are you still using the same helmet set up from the video you did a couple years back? If not, could you do a short video of what you are using? I am in the new helmet mode and want to use it to get audio on my GoPro 8

    You guys need to get some lighter camping gear. Tarptent makes some awesome lightweight tents. Good place to start.
