At about age 7 or 8 , I jumped off the house with a sheet , while holding the 4 corners , thinking I was going to float safely down . Long story short, no broken bones (it was a single story house) but my brother and I went and built a homemade hang glider out of 2X4s and green corrugated fiberglass roofing sheets. Both my brother and I ran down the field as hard as we could go and would "jump" up in hopes of soaring but looking back, it was so heavy , a tornado wouldn't have been able to move it- lol
Def like this type of video. Only thing of note is that as a newer pilot I'd love deeper thoughts & analysis on pilot error and possible prevention of collapses & crashes.
Tucker what do you know about just using the ducked fan as a paramotor? Forget the gliding. And I love your reviews on what others do. Of course you might get some haters over it. Been watching you for years now. So want to get into this.
Epic, I appreciate your support! Do you mean the powerpod specifically or just a ducted fan in general? I don't think the power pod design would work well just for paramotoring. I doubt it would have a lot of power and the ergonomics are more centered around paragliding. However, the one big benefit would be the lack of torque.
You should have seen these guys Tuck, they were absolutely, hands down. the craziest pilots I've ever seen! That same pilot kept flying the new prototype ITV Fury 12m. Had to be doing 70mph downwind 2 feet off the ground. With every scary maneuver possible thrown in there. Interesting times
1.54M subs means this channel delivers a little more than just aviation content. It's the host, I tell ya. Because there aint no way there's 1.54M Paramotor pilots.
Although I enjoy these crash and analysis videos to learn the dark side of the sport which I personally think is important for better understanding the sport full circle, the little voice in the back of my head keeps saying "see your gonna die". I've already shattered my ankles in a work place accident and I'm not exactly capable of running and certainly not looking to fall farther than I did. But I still appreciate the videos....keep em comin'.
There's a lot of ways to mitigate risk. It can be a very safe sport if you make it. But obviously, there is more inherent risk flying a paramotor than sitting on your couch. It's all about what risk you're willing to assume.
It is often the case that the wind speed above tall pine trees is higher than the wind speed under the canopy. The trees to his right were most likely blocking the wind until his canopy raised above the trees & caught the wind. How would you even manage this, throw something up above the tree line?
I'm really curious why you may not be that interested in paragliding. I just figured great paramotor pilots would be down for paragliding all day everyday? I almost look at it like it's a different set of skills learning how to ride the thermals properly and such.. would love to hear more your opinion! I've only ever flown paramotor and paragliding seems sketchy to me without the "go wherever you want" power.
On the concept of shooting a gun from a paramotor, I see no reason for that to be an issue if done safely and properly (such as using a brass catcher). For example out in Texas there are helicopters you can ride and go on coyote and feral hog hunts from the helicopter. If it's legal and done safely, no reason to ostracize it. Of course this is not to say do dangerous, illegal, or reckless things.
Interesting. A plethora of paramotor crashes posted regularly. That would seem to point towards a quite high accident rate in the sport of paramotoring. No? :-)
Hey Tucker what gas should I use? Oil? When you wipe your ass how many times?? Haha people are ignorant man anyways I love the crash vids so plz do more, it really is a way to show what not to do and you explain why it happened which can save lives….also Id love to get up someday and do a chase with you using a drone and get some badass footage, I have several that can fly over 100 mph and has distance that I could get some never before seen type shit…… as always thanks Tucker
I did NOT buy you that mug for Christmas young man.
😂😂😂 I should have been more specific.
Birth mother!
At least you know what to buy me for Christmas Eric!
😂🤣😂
@Tucker Gott - Tucker, I've got to say that you look better without the moustache. That look suits you better.
Love the kid with the trash bag wing. When I was a kid I actually flew from a dirt hill hanging from a beach umbrella! Thanks for posting.
I made a hang glider out of insulation plastic haha!

I used to attach plastic bags and ropes to my bike and ride it around like im sky diving
I like these videos. I also like when you go into more detail about how to avoid the incident.
Loved it! Nice change of pace. Always learn something from your videos.
I still watch your Icarus Trophy series because it's awesome! I wish I was 30 years younger!
Yea, do a series on this.
Def like this type of video. Only thing of note is that as a newer pilot I'd love deeper thoughts & analysis on pilot error and possible prevention of collapses & crashes.
It was interesting. In the winter you can review coffee, or tools that are useful, or talk about and show your cat. People would watch that.
Excellent!
Excelente Tour channel
I saw every one of these videos on the paramotor Facebook group and I'm glad you shared this here on UA-cam.
definitely more. Make the series.
YES. More of these. Please.
That was very entertaining ! Great way to fill in when you have down time ,
Good advice to stow your toggles even if you don't paramotor. That's why I wore a cup playing football. :) Another good vid, Tucker!
Thank you for cutting prior to the dude going in.... I'm one that can't unsee crap and it haunts me.
Definitely do more of these videos!
May the force be with you Tucker. I feel someday you may need it.
Always love your crash analysis. Learn me some knowledge so I can risk my biscuits.
I love your videos
The world needs the series!
Yes..more videos..
That grand finale was nuts!
My kids love my blue print t shirt.
Thx 4 ur input on the Fly Pod..saw this and wondered what TG thought about it Looks fun!
That was cool, I watch your videos a lot even tho I like to fly Hang gliders , haven't had time to fly for yrs, good laugh, thanks
Tucker have you seen this?
2:12 / 8:34
Fulcrum PowerPod is the world's first paramotor pod harness with a ducted fan only 0.5 m in diameter
YOU SIR ARE A TOTAL FUCKING LEGEND!! AND AWESOME AS HELL!!!
I APPRECIATE YOU!! 😁
Winter series for sure.
Love these videos mate, always very interesting/educational. You're a fantastic content creator, keep up the good work!
Omg that last video was like it was out of a movie or something.
Please start a series!
I like them but we like watching you fly and it is nice seeing others crash but we like watching you fly more
Thanks for vid! A tip: with your rather nasal voice it will sound much fuller/better on a Shure sm58!
This video makes me want to join that fb group and ask them what prop oil I should use.
ya gotta do more aussie impersonations mate,,, as an aussie this cracks me up
please do more videos on these
Yeah I like this as a series

@@TuckerGott Small fan = less power / climb rate is my thought, unless that shroud enables them to spin that prop at 10,000 RPM, lol.
I was just about to ask if you could do an impression vid on the powerpod on what you thought about it
TOTAL PHUCING LEGEND
Hey Tucker would like to hear your opinions on the fulcrum powerpod.
"can't show it without this video being taken down" I know, right? UA-cam, and almost everything else, sucks now.
The Salton cravat, that was a ITV test pilot. Was letting it fly like that to test characteristics of the wing. Not that I agree lol.
Haha, I would understand if he was at 2,000 feet. 😂
@@TuckerGott Riiight! That was his legit excuse though...

Yes more of this 👍
My mom bought me this cup......yeah right LOL.... YES we need ore video like this
Wondering if you were going to discuss the double fatal paramotor colliding with the airplane on an IFR flight plan in Texas.
More of everything pls :)
You can see what happened to the toggle it got stuck in the net right by his head
Some crazy footage!!
Please make a review of the Fulcrum PowerPod
1.54M subs means this channel delivers a little more than just aviation content. It's the host, I tell ya. Because there aint no way there's 1.54M Paramotor pilots.
May he rest in peace!
Thank goodness YT protects our sensitive souls
Hell Yeah. Do more!
Awsom very good stuff please keep it up
Please do a powerpod review!
I loved this content!
Woops this: Fulcrum PowerPod is the world's first paramotor pod harness with a ducted fan only 0.5 m in diameter
That Power Pod is trying reeeeally hard not to be a powered paraglider. Still looks cool though
Lmao. Blame MOM. I love it.
What do you think of the ‘Throggle’?
I'd love to see more Paragliding stuff (crashes ect.) even when you don't paraglide yourself.
I wanted to try this but not now.
More, Thumbs up !
Just an FYI, there are lots of unedited fatal paramotor crashes on UA-cam.
YES
what ever happened with the Blond
Loving this video idea one day I’m going to win one from u and then I’ll be in Az flying
I liked this! Similar to the crash reaction videos but more chill. I wonder if you could find some good stuff on Reddit to react to as well
Awsome video man 🤘

The what oil should i use gets people ripped on motorbike pages as well haha

check winds aloft forecast. same as any pilot planning a xcountry
Like the video keep doing them..
What oil should I run?
This was great
Facebook groups..... yea, that's where the experts hang out

I want to start paramotoring, but I'm 14. Ofc I'm 15 this summer so age isn't problem, but I've got no money 😭😭😭

At 5:30 you can see his hang point is majorly fucked. He was leaning forward once he actually got off the ground.
I have the same mug :)
Yes please. .🤠
Base jumping from a worn out paramotor in Trevor Jacob style, why not?
Like these type of videos
How do you take off with a motor glider?
Carefully...
Interesting. A plethora of paramotor crashes posted regularly. That would seem to point towards a quite high accident rate in the sport of paramotoring. No? :-)
Hot Buttered Steve 😂😂😂
Question - Why do you need such a huge microphone when a lapel tab is just as good. Does it add weight to your arguments?
Awesome
It’s true your a fucking legend

Cool vids. Yeah make it a series.

Always love these crash/close call review videos. Good things to remember for whenever it is I can get into training and start flying. Keep it up!
