Why does Razer continue to produce keycaps with no secondary/symbol backlighting.
Not sure, that's been a constant criticism of mine too. hoping they will listen one of these days lol.

Razer is overpricing way too much. Razer is basically Apple on gaming stuff. Ridiculous. I can buy with 60 euros a OPTICAL 0.2 ms response time keyboard that is TKL and you can get it in either Tactile and Clicky version with orange switches or Linear version with brown switches
Blindyy I agree, the huntsman is hardly faster than the blackwidows with green switches. The blackwidows are also said to be comfier and their wrist rests are better. The huntsman elite should at most be $120 and the bw elite should he around $90-$100 which it is but the bw elite is a much higher quality keyboard than the huntsman due to comfortability. Both are made out of metal and very durable.
@@slim7406 Yep and their 2016 mechanical keyboard is around 160-180. A keyboard made 4 years ago still has the price of better newer keyboards today. Just doesn't make sense to me.

@@blindyy132 Only Razer? they're not the only ones... pretty much every other keyboard manufacturer has a flagship keyboard at or above $200 but people love hating on Razer because they're at the top. The same way people hate on Apple for being on the top, specifically with phones. let people who have the money buy and enjoy them. Those who don't have the money will buy the Cynosa or from a cheaper brand.

I went from my Blackwidow V2 to a K95 Platinum and I'm absolutely loving it. And if you don't mind could you also do a Corsair keyboard comparison?

Maybe review the K68 RGB, K63 wireless, Strafe RGB MK.2, and the new K83? That way you'll have pretty much all the keyboards they've released.

I just wish Corsair’s keyboards looked more clean like the Blackwidow and the Huntsman. I like when the lightning pretty much only comes through the keycaps.

This video NEEDED to be made. As someone who was in the market recently for a new keyboard, the sheer amount (and many variations) of Razer’s keyboard line was extremely overwhelming! Thank you! Even though I feel like a made the right decision purchasing the Huntsman Elite, which I absolutely LOVE, I still wish I saw this video before making my decision.
I could go on and on about how much I love my Huntsman Elite. To anyone reading this; I cannot recommend the Huntsman Elite enough! It is worth every penny. If the higher price scares you, don’t be intimidated. Come back when you have some more money saved. It is worth saving for if money is the issue.

Just got myself a blackwidow elite as my first mechanical keyboard and I love it. The only problem i have with it is the material/surface of the keycaps which can leave fingerprints.
Daniel Lian Wen the reason is for teh AbS keycaps, PBT keycaps don't have finger prints or oil

You can clean the with a wet paper but be careful and dont add make it wet to much so the water wont fell in the keyboard.

a common misconception is membrane versus rubber domes
membrane is a type of sensing mechanism, not switch type.
you can have a rubber dome keyboard that uses a PCB instead of a membrane for sensing.
that would then make these keyboards a PCB keyboard?
the cynosa and ornata are rubber dome keyboards, not membrane. although they do use a membrane for sensing, their switches are rubber domes.
I suggest making sure you correct the error in future videos, other than that pretty epic comparison

Pretty much all "gamer" keyboards are objectively bad in build quality. They use poorly made keycaps out of cheap ABS plastic. The low quality ABS legends don't feel very good, are really prone to wear and typically wear out waaaay faster than others.
And if you want to replace those crappy caps, you usually can’t. Logitech uses proprietary stems, and Razer and Corsail use proprietary layouts. That means you can’t physically mount anything new on Logitech and nothing will fit on the bottom row of the other two.
The stabilizers, the things that hold the big keys in place and let you place them anywhere, are awful. They’re rattly. If it uses a wire, the wire is typically in poor tolerance. They aren’t lubed, or even clipped or mounted well.
Speaking of mounted, the plates and casing are usually quite bad too. The high end “aluminum” plate on the gamer boards is aluminum coated plastic. So just slightly heavier plastic that now scratches easier.

I have a black widow keyboard, and it’s pretty new but I customise the keyboard to make it the “wave” mode the colours come from the top instead of the sides..

I think the Logitech keyboard is like Corsairs. Very stable. But I think the Razer is for you. It is clicky and nice
I have the BlackWidow v2 tournament edition; I definitely recommend it! I’ve had it for about 2 years, I’ve had just about no problems
It is a very versatile keyboard, good for work and gaming! Nice rgb lighting, and it’s very durable (keystrokes)!

Razer should be REFUNDING a bunch of people who bought the tournament edition keyboard i remember mine started double typing after 2 months i and others completely got ripped off for $100. they only offered a 1 year warranty on it because they knew it was garbage. cash grab and go they didnt even offer a refund or anything id avoid those cockroaches like the plague

I just got the Razer Blackwidow ultimate and I love it, it was on sale at Walmart for 54$ which I thought was a steal.

Not really. I would go with the Huntsman. Mainly it's the dated switches in the X just aren't very good.

Blackwidow Elite is the best one, the price is not too expensive (huntsman elite OUTCH), and it has good features.

I got a razer mechanical keyboard full price for 60. The razer tournament edition 2014. Feels great and is easy to carry around as its a 10 keyless

@@sK_SK8s I know this comment is old but in my opinion I really prefer Kailh or Outemu over Cherry. Especially Kailh. Since Cherry's patent on the MX design expired, Kailh has really one upped Cherry with their innovative designs like the box switches. I'm pretty sure they were the first to do the "wall" or half box as I call it on their switches. More clicky imo too. But cherry isn't a slouch, either.

Correct, Huntsman quartz is the purple but it's still clicky. All quartz are the standard clicky switch.

Huntsman TE that I'm typing on would legit top them all, 100$ cheaper than Elite, but much better, they listened to what people wanted.
