Just one question: Who the fuck needs 200 hours of battery life? Who is using his keyboard with 100% RGB for longer than 6 hours? Nobody. Everyone can charge the keyboard at night when they sleep and then play the whole day. I don't know where the problem is.
Would like to see 65% Huntsman, I can make do without wireless if optical switches are available. They did a lot right with this keyboard, only if it were cheaper. If I don’t see another version come soon I’ll probably buy this in a sale. Either way I’m happy their making 65% keyboards.

Having its battery last 20hrs at 40% brightness makes me happy with my G915 TKL battery life, since it lasts 150 hrs at 50% brightness and almost 400hrs at 10% brightness, 1200hrs at 0% (says on their software but I believe it, it literally lasts me weeks of daily use), and logitech claims 40hrs at 100% brightness, while Razer claims 200hrs at 0%. Little asteriscs that mean very different things lol
Back In the days of counterstrike 1.6, I didn’t even care about the keyboard and mouse and the PC as long as they work and I will still have fun. Now we care about key switches , DPI, response time etc. more than just actually playing the game and get good with it or just plain enjoy it.
Dimitri my man, can you do a video on the Hyperx alloy origins core? Heard so many good things from other keyboard reviewers, but I need your opinion, since I value it the most out of all, when it comes to keyboards. Great Video as always!

Bro thank you for pointing out the rgb issue when riding the orochi dongle, I thought I was doing something wrong. I guess I’ll just use both dongles until they fix this
A more interesting point is about turning off the lights in exchange for 200 hours of battery life in unlimited mode, but when you turn off the lights you can't see any text on the keycaps.......
I upgraded from a 60% to a 65%. I bought a RK Royal Kludge G68 because it had 2.4ghz wireless. I hotswapped the included Gateron Reds to Cherry MX Speed Silvers and I put on some really nice keycaps. All of that for less than the price of this Razer.
@@MIKEx2112 I spent around $160 on my board. At the time I wrote my original comment the Razer retailed for $200. It can now be had for $130. I don't know where you got the $100 price from.
Just purchased it, but the battery life sounds terrible, Currently i have redragon k599, and i use it for gaming and i take it with me at work so i use it like all day and it lasts more than 2 weeks :O with RGB on on 100% brightness :D
If this was wired at and $130, I would've bought it on the spot. I've been using a Ducky Mecha Mini and really miss the arrow keys. Plus, being able to buy from a retailer with easy returns is hugely underrated.
You know people complain about the price but lets talk about the ducky miya at 160. Non wireless and white leds versus RGB/wireless/200hrs of battery. Idk an extra 20 doesnt sound so bad now does it?
I'm honestly amazed that anyone would look so closely at the Windows key as to notice a wave pattern underneath. That is truly some God-Level tech nerdiness. LOL
The only question is, will it rust like any other blackwidow keyboard? Most of my blackwidow developed rust even though I was really careful and clean on my set ups :/
man seeing all these other and new 65%s, i dont understand why ducky designed their one 2 sf like that. the gap isnt the biggest deal but idfk why they left a blank space there where most others would put the insert key. but the gap also makes taking the plate out difficult as u have to remove the top part of the case which is designed to not really be easily removed. so now my top case piece has a bunch of nicks, bends, and a crack. not super noticeable with where they are but still
Nice video. I always appreciate your reviews of gaming peripherals because you're honest and it seems like something you are passionate about. Agree the price point is bad, but I managed to pick this up on sale for $120 right now because I've really been wanting a wireless gaming keyboard. Much more reasonable at that price IMO. Good news for everyone else, is since I just bought this they will probably release something better like a wireless Huntsman Mini
Even though I'm Team Razer, I love watching your videos because of how detailed it is. Actually the ROG Falchion is much better than the Razer BW v3 mini.
Literally a membrane keyboard with lights Not trying to bash you for getting it, but you could've gone for a cheap mechanical one and it would've been miles better I still hope you enjoy your current keyboard, if you're happy that's what matters
I feel like if you used 1 dongle 2 peripherals is because, mice and a keyboard together is a high amount of polling rate running wirelessly and putting stress on the inputs with only 1 dongle.
I would say for 120 bucks (thats what I got it for) it's a pretty decent deal. My old Blackwidow is starting to show signs of wear, but hey its the first blackwidow released
I have a hard enough time without the numpad, 60% is too small for me and tkl is my sweet spot. And let's be real for $179 there are a lot of kb's that I'd get before I'd trust razer to get it right. It does look good though.
For this price point, you should just build a board. It isn't recommended for somebody who wears headphones most of the time because you would not hear the keyboard sounds because the headphones block out most of it. Only if you type should you buy a custom keyboard.
As someone who just got a Drevo Calibur V2 Pro for 50(!!) bucks, I find it hard to justify spending more than 3 times as much for something that is essentially the same thing. Never had a Drevo before but I'm honestly impressed with what you get for that price. I've used Cherry MX Browns for years but I honestly wouldn't be able to tell a difference to the Outemu Browns in my Calibur. If you can spend $180 you might as well go custom.
The Fnatic streak65 is a 65% low profile keyboard with abs keycaps and switches with 1.0mm actuation and 3.2mm total travel. It also has RGB. It isn't wireless which doesn't matter to most people because a keyboard doesn't need to move. The ministreak costs around £100. The blackwidow v3 mini costs around £180 so I'd be paying an extra £80 for it to be wireless with razer yellows 1.2mm actuation & 3.5mm total travel, it isn't low profile and has issues in lighting due to synapse. Enough said?
Tbh it’s meant for esports with its super low latency. And if you consider it being twice as fast as the huntsman mini analog or rog falchion it’s pretty nice
also, the fact that there's STILL not a standard wireless TKL out there is pretty damn ridiculous. anything below TKL is super super niche because F keys are widely used in games
these tiny keyboards sure are pretty to look at, but man i cannot wrap my head around not having the row of F1-F12 keys. i just use those way too much in dota and destiny

GMMK Pro is $179 USD + tax, and $50+ for switches and another $50 for keycaps, so not really
Edit: also it's 75% so a different category technically
@@ev.r3 Plus depending on the country slap a 25% Value added Tax ontop of *Each* purchase
Same price but difference approach. Gmmk pro build to last, also if switch damage you can replace it. Custom keyboard for yourself. But this one is wireless + bluetooth. It lightweight and small for small package that you can travel with. Bt help you connect to multi devices, it have built in battery, and way better software than glorious. All after all, i’m consider between them but i’m falling for wireless and bt. I don’t want to plug in plug out everytime i’m going. And not to worry about cable and dongle. On other hand, i also like gmmk build quality.
I would get something like a kbd67lite, gateron yellows, cheap keycaps, and some lube
@@NamelessPassenger For that, you really have to think more about its quality and customizability (assuming that you want to lube the switches and mod them). And no, they are not the same price, GMMK Pro isn't $179 USD (you only get the case for that price, switches and keycaps are separate purchase).
Remember that GMMK Pro has knobs, it's 75% and probably the biggest of all, gasket mount. You can't compare that to a keyboard like this one, literally an entierly different class of keyboards. GMMK Pro is "budget enthusiast".
Some of these companies have lost their marbles and you know what? It's not even their fault. You who are buying their stuff at outrageous prices are to blame.
No i am not, lol. Dont adress me this directly, mister. :c
Currently building my own custom, I bought my last razer boar back when their flagships were 120€ and not 250€
I agree but some of their stuff is unique like their one handed gaming keypads.. I always get alternatives when I can though since I hate razers software
Indeed.
Place a sticker on it, someone will buy it no matter what.
watch Squasy Boy's vid on his $20 Razer. Basically he tweeted 2 photos of mech keyboards and asked people which one to pick... first the Razer Blackwidow and the other is his custom blank ink mechanical keyboard and you know what people said pick Razer 100%
uhm i don't buy that kinda stuff i bought my 60% for 60 dollars, lubed and filmed with krytox & deskeys and love it
Might as well as build a custom keeb
been using this keyboard for a week now can confirm its a great daily driver
I'm very happy with mine, but have to admit, getting it on sale for $100 was a must. I can't imagine paying $180 for this.
LOVE the green switches though. Will probably stick to those as my preferred switch overall.
It’s for sale in my country for like 50 dollars should i get it? And how is the quality
Demitri isn't happy about that 180$ price point... meanwhile im here with a 300$ 65% not realizing whats wrong XD
and if you built a board with that razer price tag you'll get a keyboard that's worlds apart. and with no rattly stabs (please lube stabs and clip em too)
@@MasterBepis dude just the price of the keycaps is $100 and more XD
Buy a Keychron instead and you can completely mod it the way you want.
and keychron is still kinda overprice compared to some Chinese counterparts like KC84 or RK84
This. I ordered the K3 for $67 a few days ago and I'm surprised it has not been covered in any big tech channel yet.
@@Garcia98 MKBHD uses the K2 and covered it a while back, that's about as big a tech channel as you could want.
So true
Dimitri is looking SWOLE. Glad you’re back my dude!
Just one question:
Who the fuck needs 200 hours of battery life?
Who is using his keyboard with 100% RGB for longer than 6 hours?
Nobody. Everyone can charge the keyboard at night when they sleep and then play the whole day. I don't know where the problem is.
Would like to see 65% Huntsman, I can make do without wireless if optical switches are available. They did a lot right with this keyboard, only if it were cheaper. If I don’t see another version come soon I’ll probably buy this in a sale.
Either way I’m happy their making 65% keyboards.
Honestly, I think that making a video about " Leopold " Keyboards would be a good idea.
It is, imo, the best brand for prebuilt keyboard, in terms of quality and price.
Those are not keyboards for evryone, most of them dont include LEDS. Still, the keycaps are the best ever included on a prebuilt keyboard (double shot, PBT).
People looking for quality and affordable keyboards should not miss this brand that deserve more recognition.
Do you like varmilo or Leopold better?
@@fastlegente3430 Leopold
TKL is still the absolute smallest I can use without issues. Tried a 65% recently and immediately missed the home and end keys, along with all my F keys (and yes i know FN + number is Fx but not the same IMO)
Have you tried 70%? If yes, why did you not like it?
Having its battery last 20hrs at 40% brightness makes me happy with my G915 TKL battery life, since it lasts 150 hrs at 50% brightness and almost 400hrs at 10% brightness, 1200hrs at 0% (says on their software but I believe it, it literally lasts me weeks of daily use), and logitech claims 40hrs at 100% brightness, while Razer claims 200hrs at 0%. Little asteriscs that mean very different things lol
I bought one a week ago, and it’s now it’s $120.
Back In the days of counterstrike 1.6, I didn’t even care about the keyboard and mouse and the PC as long as they work and I will still have fun. Now we care about key switches , DPI, response time etc. more than just actually playing the game and get good with it or just plain enjoy it.
I am not going to lie. I prefer the Razer Green Switches
Dimitri my man, can you do a video on the Hyperx alloy origins core? Heard so many good things from other keyboard reviewers, but I need your opinion, since I value it the most out of all, when it comes to keyboards. Great Video as always!
The problem with the "silent" switches is that it doesn't matter how quiet the switches are because the stabs are so freaking rattly.
We need a huntsman 65%
As a mechanical keyboard enthusiast, you can get a much better keyboard for that price..
KBD67 Lite, switches and keycaps of your choice. Customize however you like it and sounds so much better.
That’s what I got . Kbd67, ks3, and some nice caps from drop
@@pacofps2997 Great budget board and switches!
Will they release a mercury version of this? I have been looking for a clean white all wireless setup for a long time.
Bro thank you for pointing out the rgb issue when riding the orochi dongle, I thought I was doing something wrong. I guess I’ll just use both dongles until they fix this
lol popping out from under the desk to start the viddy, nice.
1 year old video but I just picked mine up at GameStop for $60
I have a Razer widow first generation. I never change since then. I hope razer will produce long lasting keyboard again.
6:49 that turned into ASMR.
A more interesting point is about turning off the lights in exchange for 200 hours of battery life in unlimited mode, but when you turn off the lights you can't see any text on the keycaps.......
Is there a review of that green LED lightbar somewhere? First time seeing one of these.
No you didnt dude...Quit the bullshit'n
The blackwidow mini can be had for $100
@@MIKEx2112 I spent around $160 on my board. At the time I wrote my original comment the Razer retailed for $200. It can now be had for $130. I don't know where you got the $100 price from.
After getting used to my lubed dark jade blacks with a foam dampened wood case, those greens legit sound like nails on a chalkboard
could you maybe do a video on the best wired gaming headsets? I and probably many others would really appreciate it
What is the keychron K3? its a 65% with the FN row. I love the layout. Its productive yet compact for gaming.
65% with F keys are called 75%
Just purchased it, but the battery life sounds terrible, Currently i have redragon k599, and i use it for gaming and i take it with me at work so i use it like all day and it lasts more than 2 weeks :O with RGB on on 100% brightness :D
After I heard the spacebar I thought it wasn't that bad, then I heard enter, backspace and left shift. Why would you only lube one stabilizer pair??
If this was wired at and $130, I would've bought it on the spot. I've been using a Ducky Mecha Mini and really miss the arrow keys. Plus, being able to buy from a retailer with easy returns is hugely underrated.
The black widow 65% hyperspeed (phantom edition) is currently $130 on Amazon. I just bought myself one
Am I the only one who'd like a 75%. As much as I love my Ducky One 2 SF, I miss a dedicated FN row.
@@Wardokh yeah. I'm looking for ISO-UK. Currently on the lookout for Keychron to come back in stock
Same. That's why I pre-ordered a gmmk pro iso. Should be here in a month.
I switched from a mechanical keyboard to the amazingly silent logitech silent touch keyboard. It feels good to type on too.
I recently bought a 65% too. It's the perfect size IMO.
180$ is extremely close to budget custom keyboard zone…
Not just close, it's literally possible lol
@@AcerAz115 well… yeah 🤣
Did not wanted to be mean. Haha
Kbd67lite was 109 on group buy...
LOL
As a 2000s gaming vet I strongly refuse to treat any keyboard without dedicated F keys as "gaming"
it aint that big of a deal, press fn and you have all of them back
@@rasrandir nah, proper quicksave is f6 not fn+f6 :)
The only question is, will it rust like any other blackwidow keyboard? Most of my blackwidow developed rust even though I was really careful and clean on my set ups :/
great video. will you do a epos h3?
man seeing all these other and new 65%s, i dont understand why ducky designed their one 2 sf like that. the gap isnt the biggest deal but idfk why they left a blank space there where most others would put the insert key. but the gap also makes taking the plate out difficult as u have to remove the top part of the case which is designed to not really be easily removed. so now my top case piece has a bunch of nicks, bends, and a crack. not super noticeable with where they are but still
Might I ask, how was the filming of your new music video "Cutthroat"?
thanks man that was really helpful :)
Now I can't unsee the wave thing on the windows logo.
Great video!
Is it possible to turn off rgb light for logo on keyboard?
My question is that can you use that keybored can you use it for iPads too? Like the iPad Air
Even though I'm Team Razer, I love watching your videos because of how detailed it is. Actually the ROG Falchion is much better than the Razer BW v3 mini.
I love huntsman but not BW. Ordered myself a ROG falchion. seems like a hot stuff.
Picked this up for for a little under $90 after tax and seems like a decent deal with the multi device pairing. Let’s see how it turns out..
Just bought a Razer Cynosa Chroma, used for only 5 months it's in mint condition for $30.00 Canadian.
Literally a membrane keyboard with lights
Not trying to bash you for getting it, but you could've gone for a cheap mechanical one and it would've been miles better
I still hope you enjoy your current keyboard, if you're happy that's what matters
There is next to no sub-$30.00 cdn Mechanical Keyboards that are even remotely close to being miles better. But yes I love it.
I just got mine for 85$ refurbished (like new) and I’m excited. I had the blackwidow v3 TKL but i wanted something smaller.
I hope they make 60% white versions of these with razer yellow swithes
is this 4K stream true 60fps cos it looks smooth smooth
What you take this or the huntsman mini with red linears?
The best layout is 75% with the arrow cluster separated.
just bought this today, charged it for some time and my keyboard battery drains so fast. how is that?
Can you use the BlackWidow Pro Dongle with a Razer Viper Ultimate?
tbh if you want arrow keys just get a anne pro 2, which is a 60% with a tap function which turns shift alt ctrl and fn into arrow keys
Jeez all I want is a 65% or a TKL with the 2nd gen optical linear switches. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK, RAZER!?!? lol
Great review though
As someone who just got a Drevo Calibur V2 Pro for 50(!!) bucks, I find it hard to justify spending more than 3 times as much for something that is essentially the same thing. Never had a Drevo before but I'm honestly impressed with what you get for that price. I've used Cherry MX Browns for years but I honestly wouldn't be able to tell a difference to the Outemu Browns in my Calibur. If you can spend $180 you might as well go custom.
Got one new on Amazon for 47€ yesterday it is supposed to be delivered today, I don't think I can complain if anything is not top notch for this price
Tbh I dont change keyboards often but imagine the same thing with mices, dont let companies do this shit its absolutely unacceptable!
Tbh it’s meant for esports with its super low latency. And if you consider it being twice as fast as the huntsman mini analog or rog falchion it’s pretty nice
FINALLY! Someone knows the secret on this keyboard, it's on top for super low latency, gj my friend, I commend you.
also, the fact that there's STILL not a standard wireless TKL out there is pretty damn ridiculous. anything below TKL is super super niche because F keys are widely used in games
these tiny keyboards sure are pretty to look at, but man i cannot wrap my head around not having the row of F1-F12 keys. i just use those way too much in dota and destiny
I love how smaller motherboards, smaller cases, and smaller keyboards are more expensive. Like yes, save on materials, charge me more
The smaller the product the bigger the logo:product ratio, thus increase in price makes sense ;)
Is it okay to charge this with charging block?
Is it worth it that it’s 80 bucks in most marks places like target and amazon for the wired iteration
