I went from playing RuneScape every day for 9 years straight to quitting cold turkey in 2017. Go my degree, a house , a wife, 100k+ saved and a baby on the way. Best decision I ever made.
I played Clash of Clans from age 14 to 17. Now Im 18. Eight months ago my account got hacked. That's when I quit playing all video games. I realised that grinding in video games is useless. Thank you.
I never decided to stop video games. I just implement new habits like going to the gym, e more social. And do you want? I stopped it without even thinking about it, because i am always to busy. Last month i played only 2 hours of video games with a good friend talking about our goals in the next years.
Yeah this is real. Grinding for hours alone on videogames is a waste of time. But if you can just have some fun with your friends gaming every now and then, it's totally worth it.
Going in nature once a week is the greatest investment I've made, always enjoyed every single beautiful detail in games and also in real life, your core habits really transition to everything.
Ever since I started my journey in october of 2022 and dropped all of the bad habits shortly after, my life truly changed forever. It's insane, my productivity and happiness have been through the roof, i've been improving so much in every area of life. Thank you Hamza
Lvy hamza u changed my life , i quit video games started some buisnesses , started meditation , and a clean diet , already lost 22kg and soon im gonna be lean , and im making sime money now! Love u bro
Hamza, thank you for your hard work on this channel and helping men improve themselves. Really grateful for you and because of you my life has changed drastically. Thank you
Thanks bro, my Mum told me she was sick of my gaming so I just quit recently, crazy that this video just popped up to influence me more. Thank you for being the greatest man on youtube.
Starting out weightlifting is hard. I found myself making excuses not to go to the gym. But I’ve kept at it consistently, training is now the highlight of my week and I hate having to miss a session. You eventually learn to love what’s good for you.
Really good video, you've seemed a bit all over the place over the last year but this one felt like the classic, no BS Hamza videos from the early days of the channel, incredibly useful
For me I think the reason why grinding in video games seemed more fun than improving IRL is because of how overstimulating video games. Flashy colors, big numbers, etc. Every aspect is designed to keep you hooked and to keep playing. So when you try improving in real life, your dopamine receptors are so fucked because it isn't used to normal amounts of stimulation from real life activities. What helped me was going on a dopamine detox like Hamza suggested where you cut out all instant gratification so you start to rely less on the overstimulation from video games and start to enjoy the healthy amounts of dopamine you get from self-improvement.
Did you know that you can go to Heaven for free? This one decision can change your life and eternity forever. All you have to do is be willing to have your life and heart changed, believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead and follow Him daily. Watch how the Holy Spirit moves in your life.. much love and God bless you!!

the most dangerous thing for me is when my desire to play a videogame is coupled with a big goal for the progress i want to make in the game. Its so hard to unhook when theres this sort of endpoint of achievement I want to make, except unlike real life, there's no friction involved. Worst case scenario if you cant quit videogames, i think step one is maybe allow the desire to arise but ignore the part of desire that says you want to play X "because i want to get X"
Its a long battle with stuff like this. It always is. You keep searching for that ONE video to solve everything but no. Its as hamza said : its a long hike, not a single action. Its just about how long can you go for without quitting. Can you get back up after you falter ? If yes. Then you'll make it. Ive been trying to cut for 3 years. Its only in the past few weeks that I've lost like 3 kg. Its still difficult. I don't know how to cook, im learning. Its the times where you feel like quitting that you must convince yourself to continue.

It's almost like my life was better back then grinding video games and hanging around with friends on discord. Now I don't really have anything like that anymore and I don't feel the same as back then. Any advice?

Hey hamza can you please tell people how's your varicocelectomy was and are you fully healed now and are your sperm count return back to normal please make a video on this it'll be really helpful
I’ve never been a big fan of competitive games that have multiplayer. I played one game that was like that, and I got really pissed off when I kept dying. So I don’t play them anymore for my enjoyment. But recently, I’ve decided to cut back on gaming. Not something crazy, but I just wanna play if I have a reason too. Like right now I’m playing something new, but when I finish it I’m not gonna play because I’m “just bored” I could be doing something else. Video games aren’t bad, if they’re fun for you that’s amazing, but don’t play to the point where it’s not fun, and you’re just used to doing it constantly.
Hamza, I think you should sell Adonis School also as a one month access for the people who are not ready to commit to a paid subscription. As a Member of the community myself, I know that if the person is smart enough they will buy the access again, this time as a subscrition. Love the content, I hope you will take this into consideration.
I just finished uni and ik what i really want but i feel empty :( i play games even tho i dont enjoy it, ik what to do but can't bring myself to do it. idk what goals to set or how to plan?
Leaving video games behind leaves a lot of free time for you to actually do stuff, the ROI is insane if I’m honest but you have to do smthn productive with that time as well.
This is the trap I often fall into. Sure I can quit video games but now that just means that for the majority of my day I have nothing to do. In a lot of cases it's literally not possible to work all the time, usually there isn't nearly enough work that needs to be done to take up all the hours in the day. I think what I need to try is to take on multiple projects at once.
@@JarinXenono, you have a lot of stuff to do, I used to feel the same way, you can read a book for 3 hours, go for a walk outside, go somewhere, chill woth your friends, add all that on top of business, gym, and meditation. And your whole day is stacked
hamza I follow the routine that takes you to generate 100k but I have a doubt at night that I no longer have to work because I sleep at 9pm an hour before bed you can eat carbohydrates at that time I don't have to work and it is an hour before about sleeping
Playing video games isn't necessarily grinding stupid numbers: the plot, the characters, the lore, skill and habits that also apply to real life, lessons and good amount of info you can catch - it's art alike all others, good games are like reading a book, but being immersed on a different level. You can even see it as an easy opportunity to learn languages, social, philosophical and psychological phenomena. And also, nothing wrong with having a little occasional fun with your friends time to time, leveling up that character in RuneScape - it's like getting an ice cream after a week of non-stop healthy grinding - it'd not make you worse or kill your progress, it'll just freely help to lower the pressure and let you enjoy your life a bit more. So, I can't fully agree with you, sire.
I remember grinding playing this game called Roblox in January 2023 when I first got onto self-improvement. I would watch self-improvement videos while playing to pretend I was being productive (that's how fucked my dopamine receptors were lol that I couldn't even enjoy playing the game on its own). Then suddenly one of Hamza's videos on why video games are shit popped up. I got really uncomfortable when I saw it because I was literally playing video games at that moment, but I decided to watch the video anyway. I became more uncomfortable as I continued to listen to the video because I knew that Hamza was right. The game I was playing at the time involved me doing repetitive actions to level up, and that made me realize how pointless all of this actually is. I then searched for "Hamza video games" and he made 3 videos on the same topic lol so I decided to watch all of them. By the last video I decided to finally quit video games right there. I can't imagine the amount of hours I would have lost if I didn't quit that day. Thank you Hamza for helping me quit video games.
You can be a professional player and earn six figures + while also getting thousands of followers such as a youtuber with the plus that is competition, i know it is only the 0.01% but if you have the talent and time to pursue this before 20 its worth it for some people, the main issue is being able to still be healthy while sitting so many hours

Henry Cavill(the guy who played Super Man) is into video games and he’s a handsome well built guy so why would I have to completely stop playing video games or stop doing anything else I love to improve myself?

I used to grind in video games but most of them got boring because they're all the same and it's just a wasted of time and money just to sit their and watch your stats go up... but it was fun at the time but now it's like wtf am i doing so i don't really play grinding games anymore if it's a game about art or building your own house then i will play it plus that's helping me get to point B.
PS the cocks are turning in the ass 👍
