Should there be a larger gap, or extra movement then additional repairs and possibly other products may be required. This is just a basic repair with a good quality product.
Can you use CT1 on cracks in ceilings. My plasterer didn't use tape to join the plasterboard and my decorator just painted on top so now have a hairline crack across the whole ceiling.
You can use it inside of the crack, but be sure to keep it below the surface as it isn’t sandable. So it’ll allow some movement, but once dry the crack will have to be filled over again as normal. I use Toupret powder filler

CT1 is not silicone based, that is why you can paint on it. CT1 is all you need in a house, throw all silicone in the bin.
