Honestly, the band hasn't received such hype in a LONGGGG while. I don't think even Bang Bang received as much attention as The American Dream Is Killing Me. (though I could be wrong considering I was 13 when it came out)
About the two singles, Look Ma No Brains is definitely better than American Dream(I'll just call it AD from this point on). AD has a cool riff, and that little 'quiet' section is pretty nice too and it has the same melody as the guitar solo, again that guitar solo is actually great, I dig it. The music video was fun as well, and the video itself does speak about the society. (Also, did you catch that 1981 sign in AD music video? That was a cool little easter egg!). The lyrics are pretty okay for the most part... Tiktok... and PDF-Files, those two lines could've been replaced with something better. Apart from that, musically the song was pretty tight, solid 7/10.
Look Ma No Brains is faster, reminding me of Insomniac...Nimrod-era Green Day and I'm all in for it! I love the song, and the lyrics are good. And... it sounds fun! Green Day never fail to write catchy chorus melody, the song is stuck in my head, and to get it off my head I'll cover it hahaha!
Great song, a bit too short, could've used a guitar solo or a bridge, but, for what it is, it's pretty good. 7.5 to light 8/10 on this one.
I981, from what I've heard from live recordings, hasn't done much for me, and so far I think it's pretty generic, but let's see how the actual studio version sounds like, I hope it'll change my opinions. 6.5/10 on this one.
One Eyed Bastard though! I came across its leak... and... OH BOI! It should've been the lead single! The song SLAPS! So yeah, spoilers!!! It's a good song! 9/10.

Pretty excited for the album! I think I'm going to like it more than Rev Rad (I LOVE that album, I'll revisit it soon), and defintely more than Father of all...
What confuses me is, we all thought FOAMF was just them showing middle-finger to Reprise by putting out a dogcrap album that's short... but guess what... They have renewed their contract (I think) and are releasing Saviors through Reprise...
So you're telling me Green Day WERE ACTUALLY SERIOUS ABOUT FOAMF????? NO!-

I can explain the pdf files lyric very simply. Billie is saying we're (as in the general american public) pdf files for the american dream. Aka americans have a twisted abhorrent attraction to the american dream. Perhaps not great taste in lyric writing but it doesnt really surprise me coming from him
