Chris always has a plan and this is second nature to him, operating equipment since he was a kid with his grandpa! He’s definitely a perfectionist and has to get everything just right!
It’s great to see you working with Chris you’ll get a top job he’s the best out there it’s great to watch from over here in the uk keep the videos coming stay safe in the storm regs Howie 👍👍👍
You got great area & adding the hydro electric will in the long run pay for itself plus lower your power bill to nothing in no time ! You got some beautiful property !
Bet they are glad they dropped that lake level with all the stuff you are getting right now from Helene. Getting a head start on such events is a good thing. Of course it will take longer to go down now with what she is dumping on y'all.
PS are you taking notes on what Chris is doing so you can dredge the edges yourself later on? Getting some top rate classes from the pond master there if you pay attention. Hard to believe they did that 8x8 box and then choked it down to a 24 inch pipe out of it.
@@markpashia7067 I’m a woods guy not a swamp puppy, I’ll get the edges later on lol There are more hurricanes on the way too! It was a surprise to only see a 24” pipe on that big overflow.
I have looked into micro-hydro power generation. Its a deep rabbit hole. There are a few small companies that produce them. Most I have seen are pretty good, but they are expensive, and the electrical conversion, optimization, and integration can be complex, especially for someone without a lot of electrical knowledge. Plus you mayl need to purchase an electrical storage unit the same as if you went solar, depending on what you are using it for. There are many, many different ways of doing it, many levels of complexity, its a deep rabbit hole. I think it would be an interesting topic for your channel to help it grow, seeing as how a lot if people think about doing it, and the internet isnt flooded with information about it.
@@mr.shannon6137 it can get very complex! I have 18 years of electro-mechanical experience as an Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Systems Engineer and have done a bit of research on hydro-electric over the years. Planning on core drilling the riser to accept a 6” pipe with 10’ fall reduced down to a 1/2” nozzle to spin a pelton wheel coupled to a motor/generator head. Might get 5kw and could always add a step up transformer but that’s enough for our needs if it’s running 24/7. Hooked up to a Tesla wall battery and back-fed into the grid just like solar. Also going to do geothermal HVAC at some point. I just YT for fun, it certainly doesn’t pay much, for the time I have invested with making, editing and sharing these videos lol but things should get interesting. Thanks for watching! - Brian
Since you have houses right next to you, ya might want to find out if they’ve changed the zoning on you from Residential to Agriculture, or vice versa.

Chris is on the ball, hauling equipment with Mr. Donnie! I hope y’all don’t catch too much rain from the storm! Yall stay safe up there, Brian!
sure looking good..
Chris The Pond Wizard is gearing up. I hope the Storm isn't pounding you all too hard. Stay safe!
With the amount of ground water you have coming up, you'll have no problem filling that pond in no time. 👍
This will be a beautiful lake / pond when done, peace brother…
Mr. Donny has been busy for Chris recently! WTG!
