Some of you people commenting act like these guys just started farming. I’m sure Brian knows a bit about what works for him after all these years. Just saying!
Every time I see all of your equipment, I hear the Joe Diffie song, "John Deere Green" I love the way Ellie and Little Sonne make sure they stay out of the way of the tractors!
Thanks for the video! I laughed out loud when you did the cattle herding dance. It was a good one-you didn’t fall down. I have fallen in the field-seems like I’d fall in the wettest part of the field. I’m excited to hear about the yield-again thank for the video, and the 😆 laugh!
Enjoy the surplus to get you through the leaner times. Hope the corn harvest is just as fruitful and all the bins get filled. No overkill Cole, you use what you have to benefit the farm. You two sure moved a lot of equipment that day and still made it all work. God Bless 🙌
Shoot Cole whatever is easiest available tractor is what we use too. If overkill gets the job done without breaking anything go for it. A lot of us do that too. Busy days during these transitional days of the season.
Enjoyed your video like always. Cole, somewhere I'm waiting for you to say, "Go ahead... make my day". Or, "Are you gonna pull them pistols, or whistle dixie", or "Get off my lawn". ...Do you bale up any cornstocks for bedding? You all have a good day and stay safe at Sonne farms... Tiny dog & Ellie too!
They always round bale the corn stalks and use a fancy machine that unrolls the bale and BLOWS it into the structure. That's so cool that nothing goes to waste!!!❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
looks like you had a stellar year with your hay production, I'm so happy for you, my heart was breaking over the last 2 years and the drought the country has been going through. I'm so happy to have found your channel and will always be cheering in your corner :)
It's good to know you guys have a decent amount of feed this year. Nothing worse than being nervous about having enough to last the winter. Must be a massive relief after last season
Oh my goodness that is just awesome. You guys good luck. I pray that the yields are up no issues with the combine. Keep on moving straight peace to you and your family.
I like those big fields. Planted mine last week (5 acres)ahead of the hurricane. Plan to get another large field (3 acres) this week before dry weather comes back. Love farming at any size field. You have to use what you have.
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure. Wow. What a big tarp that was to cover your open pit silage. You and your Dad did a fantastic job of getting that tarp down and secured. That couldn’t have been easy. The round bails and the tire half’s did a good job of holding that big tarp down. That was a lot of tarp to get down and secured before the wind caught it. Nice work guys. Tractor sizes and the job you need done. Sometimes it is not the size of the tractor but how big the engine is to do the job. A lot of the tractors now days are big in size but don’t have the HP you need to do the job. I think you do a good job in matching your tractor to the piece of equipment you need it to pull. Good job Sonne’s. Got your end rows off of one of your corn fields. Seems you were not totally satisfied with the yield but end rows are not the best anyway. Hang in there. Nice work with your drill. Got that job done. Nice drill you have. Thanks for everything. You take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Hopefully the corn yield is fantastic Big difference in South Dakota climate and Alabama Triple R farms harvested corn a few weeks ago Lucky me I get to watch two harvests!
I was thinking the same thing. I was going to ask about it but thought I should read the comments first. All I ever grew was corn and soybeans so I do not know anything about silage.
I’ve seen someone rake hay with a big tractor like that and that was something to see but they only did it because that was the only tractor left that had air conditioning !
Wow-1500 to 1600 bales is a big difference from last year! Can you post what it was last year if you remember? So glad to see how well things are going this year❤❤❤
I guess he ran out of ideas and forgot which he’d already used. I’d have gotten tired of it after a while too if I had to some up with it everyday. 😂😂😂
nothing wrong with using that bigger fwd tractor , less compaction with the load spread over the 8 wheels , good to see her being used , great stuff on the hay
Great hay yields this year Brian and Cole. That Sonny has adapted to your farm well. Wishing you high yields in the harvests to come. Cole, were you able to harvest anything on your new fields or were they lost due to the earlier rain?
I gotta say, I miss getting the song of the day😢 I know Brian’s been jamming out while bailing
I miss seeing the Redneck Dictionary word on the white board in the barn office.
I love the way tiny dog knows how to dodge that huge equipment 😊
Some of you people commenting act like these guys just started farming. I’m sure Brian knows a bit about what works for him after all these years. Just saying!
I just love Brains attitude. You're lucky to have him for a father Cole.🇺🇲💪
Brain vs Brian 😂😂😂❤❤
Every time I see all of your equipment, I hear the Joe Diffie song, "John Deere Green" I love the way Ellie and Little Sonne make sure they stay out of the way of the tractors!
Juan deere
G’job fellas, Cole, you look pretty intimidating, guarding that gate…lol. Sticky trap on pop’s hands was classic 🤣
Thanks for the video! I laughed out loud when you did the cattle herding dance. It was a good one-you didn’t fall down. I have fallen in the field-seems like I’d fall in the wettest part of the field. I’m excited to hear about the yield-again thank for the video, and the 😆 laugh!
First think I thought of was Planet of the Apes...
It’s a good day when sonne Farms puts out a new video!
Another academy award winning film-starring Cole Sonne & best supporting actor, Brian Sonne, with a huge cast of hundreds….
I know we all enjoy the content of farming with livestock and father son interaction is the best 👍👍😎🧑🌾🚜🚜🌽🐂
Thank you Sonne Farms!!
Cole you and your Dad make a GREAT team Godbless you both
NICE!! Back to back episodes of Lonesome Dove references. Ole Augustus would be proud.
What we need is Brian's words of wisdom for the day
Overkill is underrated,,,, every time!

Thank you Cole And Dad Brian for sharing everything.God bless you all.How is Tiffany doing?Little Sonny is growing.
Enjoy the surplus to get you through the leaner times.

No overkill Cole, you use what you have to benefit the farm.
You two sure moved a lot of equipment that day and still made it all work.

Thought you had a catch in your giddyup Cole!😂
Love your Dad & little Sonny is so fun to watch.
Looking forward to some solid yield numbers, fingers crossed
Shoot Cole whatever is easiest available tractor is what we use too. If overkill gets the job done without breaking anything go for it. A lot of us do that too. Busy days during these transitional days of the season.
God bless Sonne Farms praying for a great corn harvest 🙏🙏💕
139 bales. WOW!! Glad to see corn harvest starting. Praying the yields are even better than expected. Have a great week and stay safe.
A few videos ago, they hit up a neighbor for their corn stocks for bailing bedding.
They always round bale the corn stalks and use a fancy machine that unrolls the bale and BLOWS it into the structure. That's so cool that nothing goes to waste!!!❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The rare sight of a silverback Cole in it's natural habitat..... Breathtaking.
Thanks, I felt your excitement when hooking the header up for the first pass of corn 2024.
looks like you had a stellar year with your hay production, I'm so happy for you, my heart was breaking over the last 2 years and the drought the country has been going through. I'm so happy to have found your channel and will always be cheering in your corner :)
Thanks for the great video again!
Drill Baby Drill 😊 Where there’s a will there’s a way! Way to go Cole ❤
For a two man operation you men accomplish a lot in a day. Obviously pre planning makes a difference. Good job from an old logger and accountant.
Brave little Sonne Dog gives me gray hair worried about getting hit by one of the huge tiers on the equipment! Take care all of you.❤️🙏🏼🦋
It's good to know you guys have a decent amount of feed this year. Nothing worse than being nervous about having enough to last the winter. Must be a massive relief after last season
Love the sound of those old JD engines. My brother in law had one with the 6 cylinder diesel
Congratulations....hard work, good people, positive role models, work through the hard times and enjoy the good times. I enjoy watching!!
i bet brian was like what is on my hand at first. have a safe harvest season and a good day.
Thanks and have a blessed day
Just awesome video, lots of none stop action going on for sure. Thanks Cole and Brian for get er done.
Oh my goodness that is just awesome. You guys good luck. I pray that the yields are up no issues with the combine. Keep on moving straight peace to you and your family.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO COLE
thanks!
Sonny is always close to lend a paw 🐾
Love watching your videos. Wish I was closer, I’d come help. Just a weekend retired farmer. Always enjoyed in the field, or behind a semi wheel.
Enjoyed another great video. Thanks So Much for Sharing with us
I just can't get enough of your videos I can't wait till Calving season
thanks!

If some is good, then more is better! Great footage from the driller!
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure.

The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Cole I just enjoy watching you 2 do your farming, I will never tell you which tractor looks more size appropriate. 😂
Great video.
I'd never heard the term "drill some rye" before, so it was interesting to watch that.---Wow, that corn monster machine is eye-popping!
White side up
Hope you have a great and safe harvest
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!

I love that Brian uses the John Deere farm tractor instead of the wheel loader
Thanks for the video. It was a pleasure to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Smart to cut the tires and not make all those mosquito campgrounds
Great job guys👍you work great together❤️
Hello to the sone crew. Be safe
Hopefully the corn yield is fantastic Big difference in South Dakota climate and Alabama Triple R farms harvested corn a few weeks ago Lucky me I get to watch two harvests!
Well, like it putting that big tractor on that on the drill, I like it you gotta make sure you can get through all problems that’s all let her eat
Good to hear you guys got so much hay. Hopefully your corn yields will be real good.
U we’re so excited that made me chuckle
Good to see you guys start on the wet corn and finish up the baling for the year with a lot of hay so you don't have to buy any this year!
👍
Hey Cole, don't the black side of tarp go down? Most I see white side is up?
I was thinking the same thing. I was going to ask about it but thought I should read the comments first. All I ever grew was corn and soybeans so I do not know anything about silage.
I think Cole is color blind, maybe 🤷😂
Hey Cole-sorry pal, but you’ll need to start wearing blue jeans. For a second there with that far off shot it looked like you forgot your pants!
I’ve seen someone rake hay with a big tractor like that and that was something to see but they only did it because that was the only tractor left that had air conditioning !
I'm still getting my farming education. Most people think, plow, sow, and harvest. More to it than that.
Thanks!
Wow-1500 to 1600 bales is a big difference from last year! Can you post what it was last year if you remember? So glad to see how well things are going this year❤❤❤
That was a very busy day thanks for video ❤
What happened to the song of the day?
Waylon Jennings - Dukes Of Hazzard "Good Ol' Boys" Theme Song
I was wondering the same thing… Brian always had the great ones
I guess he ran out of ideas and forgot which he’d already used. I’d have gotten tired of it after a while too if I had to some up with it everyday. 😂😂😂
Yea wonder what happen to that
The 9770s pre def sound amazing! Love it
Hi to all three of you guys from Indiana
A lot of different things go on at Sonne Farms
Brian, you have learned by the old rule if it works just do it!!!
nothing wrong with using that bigger fwd tractor , less compaction with the load spread over the 8 wheels , good to see her being used , great stuff on the hay
Filled box drills just like that with a skid steer a lot of times 👍👍😀
I like the 4050. God bless.
No wind: Hey! Great time to unfold the tarp.
Tarp unfolded: 15mph wind suddenly starts. Always. (lol)
Bailing wire , dude that got me ,you’re a good man😊
🇺🇸🇨🇱
Enjoyed.
That's one great haircut you got there, Cole!
Great hay yields this year Brian and Cole. That Sonny has adapted to your farm well. Wishing you high yields in the harvests to come. Cole, were you able to harvest anything on your new fields or were they lost due to the earlier rain?

Good system for handling the rye

Hope u get great yield cole. Alabama guy we did from 60 to 210 bushels that was irritating it. Didn't do well. Hay was ok
Excellent bale yield
