Britney Slays is an amazing human who looooves sour patch kids on tour and always. You should do an interview with her. She has in the past with reactors
Please check out Brittany doing Brindisi with Fang, the singer from Lords of the Trident. Both of them are super talented, and the video is just a lot of fun. Brittany has been quoted as saying if she hadn't become a metal singer, she would have pursued opera instead.
🏹🏹🏹 Another great reaction Maggie. Brittney and the group really do an amazing job. Her vocals are just... Wow! So much power in them. And the band... holey toledo they are too good (LOL.) See you on Discord and Sunday on Twitch. I'll let you know on Patreon if I swap the song out.
Layered with her own voice ( welcome to the UTA Choir... we repeat each other, over and over, again and again, even if you catch and correct yourself... it's a thing, lol.) But it really is all Brittney. They are not using a pitch-shifter to create her harmonies. There are little videos of her doing it in the studio. Her pitch control is great. OH NO !!!! Maggies jaw shook on the wide vibrato !!! (just teasing) Maggie, if you can Happy Feet in time with the bass drums, you should get a kit and practice up. You could do vocals AND power-drums... it's time to start your Metal band, Maggie. Hey, Simone Simons 'gets by' with straight classical in Metal.... Maggie : "Whoa, that guitar is insane..." .... oh Maggie, just wait. (90 second solo takes 3 1/2 minutes to get thru the reaction) On Andrew's guitar solo : Tapping is a full depression of the string to the fingerboard, as opposed to picking off harmonics. Andrew is definitely doing full depression of the strings. RE the bass 'solo notes' In my experience playing a little bass, I think he's actually playing the notes withOUT the 'harmonic technique' , but no palm muting, as you can see his entire hand moving ABOVE the strings and not making contact (you even get LIGHT in there on the strings). The majority of the softened sound comes from backing off the Tone knob a touch, (probably) choosing the NECK pickup, rather than the bridge) AND soften the attack with his right hand finger/thumb-style ( his fingertips slide over the string a bit more. Layered growls at the beginning of the solo : a previous bass player would do low growls, and Grant (in this video) does an upper-register growl (correct me if I'm using a wrong term there.. Grant's is more vocal) I can't wait to see them this fall in Portland. Great reaction Maggie, as always, watching you is a joy, and I learn something every time.
@@maggiereneemusic Not yet... give me a moment... I am watching the volcano on La Palma ... it is doing sub-harmonic growls and unleashing an arcing stream of red hot arrows. I'll go watch and be back in a minute. Thank you most kindly for the invitation to some AIC.... Layne's placement is amazing and unique, and Jerry's ability to weave a harmony with Layne is a favorite, for me.
There's a video of her singing some opera out there you might be interested to check out. Also in a very recent stream of her and the band doing a hot ones style Q and A she was asked what would be her dream venue to perform at and she mentioned the metropolitan in New York before later noting it's an opera venue and saying for the band saying probably Madison square garden. My point being idk her history of formal music training but she very much holds a place in her heart for operatic singing and performing despite being a badass metal vocalist which I thought you might find it interesting to know.
Have you checked out Lovebites yet? They're a Japanese, all-female metal band. Absolutely phenomenal musicians, and the singer actually comes from an R&B background.
If you want to know what Melodic Death Metal sounds like, I highly suggest you to react to Insomnium, one of my favorite bands. Songs like Pale Morning Star, Heart Like a Grave or The Primeval Dark are great examples of their sound, but they don't have a single bad song.
You mention the layering on the initial belt. I'd like to see what you think of Anna-Maria Hefele's overtone video here on UA-cam. Overtone and polyphonics don't get enough love.
HOW DARE YOU?! Never ever pause on Grants or Andrew's solo!!!! NEVER! 😅😂😉 Freakin awesome reaction, thank you... Got my sub... Stay safe and greetz from 🇩🇪

Check out tonight we ride. And as far as I know she does use layers but no auto tune.
Thank you for your comment. Hope you will subscribe to my channel? bit.ly/2TRyEid
Her vocals in Tonight we Ride are insane.
About time you did this one.
Layered with her own voice ( welcome to the UTA Choir... we repeat each other, over and over, again and again, even if you catch and correct yourself... it's a thing, lol.)
But it really is all Brittney. They are not using a pitch-shifter to create her harmonies. There are little videos of her doing it in the studio. Her pitch control is great.
OH NO !!!! Maggies jaw shook on the wide vibrato !!! (just teasing)
Maggie, if you can Happy Feet in time with the bass drums, you should get a kit and practice up.
You could do vocals AND power-drums... it's time to start your Metal band, Maggie.
Hey, Simone Simons 'gets by' with straight classical in Metal....
Maggie : "Whoa, that guitar is insane..." .... oh Maggie, just wait.
(90 second solo takes 3 1/2 minutes to get thru the reaction)
On Andrew's guitar solo : Tapping is a full depression of the string to the fingerboard, as opposed to picking off harmonics.
Grant's is more vocal)
I can't wait to see them this fall in Portland.
Great reaction Maggie, as always, watching you is a joy, and I learn something every time.
Thank you for your comment. Did you like the Alice in Chains reaction I just posted?
@@maggiereneemusic Not yet... give me a moment... I am watching the volcano on La Palma ... it is doing sub-harmonic growls and unleashing an arcing stream of red hot arrows. I'll go watch and be back in a minute. Thank you most kindly for the invitation to some AIC.... Layne's placement is amazing and unique, and Jerry's ability to weave a harmony with Layne is a favorite, for me.
🤘😁
Rocking out as always 🤘
Rock on! So glad you enjoyed!🤘
she is very relaxed and open (very little pressure on her breath control) and her tone(s) are clean ..........
If you like drums and live double vocalist bands and Metal. Ne Obliviscaris. And Plague flowers the Kaleidescope

@@maggiereneemusic That's... too mild for me. Like... I like rainbows and you're asking me just about green.
🤘😁
You mention the layering on the initial belt. I'd like to see what you think of Anna-Maria Hefele's overtone video here on UA-cam. Overtone and polyphonics don't get enough love.
Brittnay studied at the university of victoria school of music where she sang soprano in their choir
Brittney was singing alto actually.
As an opera singer Can you plz plz plz🙏 do all female metal band lovebites reaction. Holy war live is a great one to start with. Great reaction ❤
Thank you for your suggestion.
@@maggiereneemusic thank you so much for the reply❤ are you on twitch? I will look for you.
HOW DARE YOU?! Never ever pause on Grants or Andrew's solo!!!! NEVER!
😅😂😉
Freakin awesome reaction, thank you... Got my sub... Stay safe and greetz from 🇩🇪
Thank you for your lovely comment. 😊 Hope to see you on my singing LIVE stream today? ua-cam.com/video/fdme7TZDU3c/v-deo.html
I've seen them live (right before the VID hit the US) and it was insane to see live especially with Dragonforce going on afterwards
The lead singer is also a trained opera singer
I like your reactions. The guy growling is one of the guitarists. The last part of the solo is both guitarists playing in harmorni before the bassist comes in. Guess someone already informed you of this. But you should check Brittany when she sings opera if you haven't yet ( Brindisi )
Brit is right there with Floor
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see at my new Nightwish reaction video premiere tomorrow?
You def need to check out tonight we ride now. This song is now of a band showcase. Tonight we ride is 10000% all Britney. Pretty sure she belts an A5 a few times
Hey Maggie! Pls react to the all female metal band Crypta, their first single is called "From the Ashes". I was formed by the the former singer/bassist and the former drummer of the band Nervosa, plus two new guitar players.

there's a few live performances out there, i'm sure. if you want pure, unfiltered Brittany, there's a video of her doing Queensryche karaoke, "Queen of the Reich". she is every bit as good as this sounds.
Guess what? Thank you for your comment. Hope you will join us on Saturday for the Queensryche reactions LIVE STREAM?
Britney doesn’t use auto tuning. This how she sounds live.
wait until you find out that you can auto tune live lol
Jinjer Hellfest 2021 is an awesome show if you get the chance to watch it.
