Far as copyright goes, you don't need to worry too much, it's Napalm and they almost never block. As far as power metal goes this is easily my favorite band ever. Brittany Slayes is a force of nature and the guys are just as good. They hail from British Columbia. Brittany and Scott the drummer just recently became parents. Great reaction!
Yeah even encourage it. hell it was reaction channels that got unleash the archers the recognition they deserve. Hell it was the huge number of reations to this song that got me into them.
Unleash the Archers are one of those bands that just make me proud to be Canadian. And 11:08 "Nah I don't think that was real" is by far the best reaction I've ever seen to that bass lick, so calm but in utter disbelief
Forgot to mention that Brittney just became a mom. Scott the drummer is the dad. Those two formed the band and are the only two original members still in the band. Also, Brittney often appears on reactor channels and she has done some fun stuff, like reacting to reaction channels reacting to UTA.
YES!!! It was me lol! This was one of the bands I was telling you about. Meet Brittney Slayes (Hayes)! She's awesome, and classically trained as well - she can sing soprano opera too! She went on a metal opera channel, it's awesome...I'll shoot yall that link too. You can check it out on your own time, unless you just want to react to it lol! There's also a video of her doing karaoke to Iron Maiden! She can get up there in the notes! I would say for a next one from them, definitely go with Tonight We Ride Official Video. I'll shoot yall the link in Patreon. I am so excited y'all finally got to do this one! I just knew y'all were gonna like it...but 3 Fatalities and Kyle walking off?!?!? Yes!!!! Loved y'alls reaction, guys! Always great, of course...but this one was extra awesome! Catch y'all on the next🤘🏻
This is by far the best reaction i've seen to this track! "he'd probably put her in the hospital!" quote of the year! 👏 absolutely cracked me up 🤣🤣 brilliant x
Canadian power metal band from Victoria ,BC. Formed in 2007 by lead singer Brittney Slayes (Hayes) and her partner drummer Scott Buchannan. Guitarist Grant Truesdell does the harsh vocals. Guitarist Andrew Kingslet does some clean vocals. The bassist seen here is Nikko Whitworth. He left the band in 2018, replaced by Nick Miller. First song on the 4th album, Apex. The entire record tells a story, which is continued on the 5th album, Abyss. For more try Tonight We Ride, Abyss, General of the Dark Army. Brittney has also sung a song called Fate of Man on the latest from Star One. Star One is a prog metal side project of Arjen Lucassen. Ayreon is his primary, a prog rock/metal opera project. Try Ayreon- The Day That The World Breaks Down, it features 11 singers from around the world.
Part of the full sound of Brittany's voice during the chorus is the fact that she lays down harmonizing lines in a backing track that she calls the Brittany Choir! She is an awesome singer and they are a great band/nice people!
One thing I feel is VERY important to mention with this band that I havent seen much from the comments. This and the follow up album Abyss are concept albums. Which means, it tells a story from beginning to end, each song being a different part in that story. Its a Fantasy/Sci Fi story but when you know that going into it (Awakening is the very first song on the album so youre not out of order) you appreciate it that much more.
also, fuckin PROPS for the Brothers of Metal shout out, that band doesnt get anywhere near the amount of love they deserve and of COURSE it comes from another Kyle. Fuck yeah homie!
Following up on this, the Abyss Album is the continuation of Apex. Their album Demons of the AstroWaste is also a concept album, it is unconnected to Apex and Abyss.
THANK YOU!!! I've been waiting on your reaction for weeks since the poll! One of my favorite bands for sure, glad to see they're getting the love they deserve! Keep up the good work you guys! Next you've gotta try The Wind That Shapes the Land please! You guys truly are the best reaction channel out there!
So glad you guys did this. They're a great band, a wonderful bunch of people, and there is so much material to check out. You're going to get a lot of requests to do things like "Tonight We Ride", and that is a great one. But it's sort of done to death, and I don't see much of their other stuff get checked out lately. I would highly recommend going towards more from "Apex" and "Abyss", as the two albums are actually one big story, and are some of the best music they've made. Cleanse The Bloodlines or Earth and Ashes. If you do Earth and Ashes, I would actually recommend doing a double reaction and checking out Legacy right after. A lot of people ask questions about the story of Legacy, and doing a double would make it all make sense.
Oh man, welcome to this whole party. They have been one of my very favorite bands for about a decade now, and I finally got to see them live last December. Yes, they do kill it live. Their last two albums are both concept albums telling one big epic story. You guys just watched the opening track to this story. Lots of fun. Must watch videos: -Faster Than Light (video is a play on a Stephen King novel) -Cleanse the Bloodline (EPIC) -Tonight We Ride (Everyone is going to recommend this, but it's for good reason) -Legacy (Speed metal meets musical theater. Amazing) -Everything else they have because it's all so good.
Was just talking with them on Patreon about this only being the tip of the iceberg with them. Could not agree with you more, and I would love to see them some day live. Super jealous.
You should check out Cleanse the Bloodlines next, Kyle would love the cinematography done in that video and the song is absolutely awesome as well. This song Awakening is the beginning of a story about a being called "Immortal" by the way. (someone correct me if I'm wrong please)
Love seeing first time reactions to “Awakening”. I’m never disappointed in the shock and awe from the reactors. Love this band. They have a great discography to react to. Great video fellas!!
Another person that would make you get up in disbelief is Moyun with her Guzheng cover of Playing God by Polyphia. Absolutely insanely talented young lady. Please react to her when you get a chance.
I discovered them some time ago via another channel reacting to this video and naturally I was blown away. Then I heard that this is the opening track of a concept album and that the sequel to that album had just been released. So I did the only reasonable thing and ordered both albums on vinyl and waited until I could sit down with a glass of nice rum in one hand and the lyrics sheet in the other and listen to both albums back to back and that's the most magical at-home music experience I've ever had 😁
Imagine two albums of straight gold like this with ups and downs and then you get to the uplifting triumphant climax with Faster than Light followed by The Wind That Shapes The Land... And the rum is starting to give you a buzz... Pure heaven 😅
Yeah there is a really good reason i listened to this album on loop for a month straight when i first discovered Unleash the archers. A masterpiece of metal.
Been watching this band from the beginning. Saw them play in a field near Hinton,AB. At a very small festival called metal mountain with less that 100 people. They’ve grown so much, but have always been amazing!
I just discovered Unleash the Archers recently, and, of course, decided to search reaction videos. Drop the dots at the end... Fucking amazing, guys. You echoed my initial reaction. To a fucking T. Every reaction you had was reciprocated in my first listen-through of this band... but you made it so much more entertaining. Obviously: that's why you're here. But realize: it's the character of your reactions, and the sympathy that you effect with your watchers, that garners the kudos. In this case, you fucking nailed it. It's my first video of yours; I'm now a subscriber. Here's to a ton more of epic reactions.
This was a hell of an introduction to the channel. Love this song, and the video is cool as hell. I love the bass player getting into it juxtaposed with how stoic the guitarists are. Others have already commented on the band's friendliness towards reax channels - Britney has done interviews on appearances on quite a few. Hope to see you guys do more of their stuff.
I got to see these guys last year and Britney Slays the lead singer does all of this live and more. This is a rabbit hole worthy of your time, Tonight We Ride would be a great second offering. I loved that Kyle lost it so hard, I laughed so hard seeing that🤣 great react guys more Archers please.
Unleash the Archers like to do conceptual albums. This is the first song off of the album Apex, which tells the story of a being called "The Immortal" that is summoned from its mountain "tomb" by a character called "The Matriarch" to do her bidding. Any song off that album is fire. Their next album, Abyss, continues the story from this album, with a change of tone/theme.
A performance this wild, insane vocals, incredible guitar harmonies, extremely sick drumming, yet it's the bass guitar that completely steals the show to me. Never ever seen anyone play like this before.
I drive to both the Apex and Abyss albums back to back, which starts with Awakening. THIS song is only the beginning of epic awesomeness. Also, Grant (the growler) is really chill when you watch him on Twitch.
I love it! "His wife must love him" floored me 🤣🤣😂😂 Then that bass run floored you guys. 😁😁 ( I was wondering how that would hit) I have been an Archers fan for a few years now & I think they are one of the most talented & underapreciated bands out there.
Oooh was not expecting this! Looking forward to your reactions! OK that was one of my favorite reactions from you guys!! Unleash the Archers are a breath of fresh air because there aren’t enough great power metal bands these days.
Oh boy, what a deep rabbit hole haha. You two had me in stitches laughing at your reactions to her voice, the guitar solos and the bass piece. PRICELESS! Here are a few other extremely deep rabbit holes to go down too... all metal bands... Rammstein: Live performances of "Engel" and "Ich tu dir weh", videos for "Deutschland", "Angst", "Zick Zack", "Dicke Titten" Lord of the Lost: "Haythor", "On this rock i build my church", "Priest" Powerwolf: video for "Demons are a girls best friend", live performance of "Stossgebet" Sabaton: video and official live for "Uprising", videos for "Father", "Bismarck", "Carolus Rex" and live performance of Ghost Division Bismarck was my gateway song for Sabaton. They are very interesting as every song they do tells a true historical story, typically about either specific battles or heroic individuals. The video for Bismarck is like watching a movie, and I highly suggest having at least a general knowledge of the ship and it's mission/fate prior to watching the video or listening to the song. Can't wait to see what you guys react to next, I have no doubt it will be very entertaining!
Their singer Brittney Slayes is a classically trained Mezzo-Soprano. Also, their last 2 album are concept album that the singer posted a track by track for each song explaining the backstory behind it.
Greetings from Finland. Check Nightwish with vocalist Floor Jansen. Good start could be Gost Love Shore live in Wacken 2013. You won't be disappointed. 🤘🤘🤘
So glad that you guys finally got to this song. I’ve been suggesting and waiting and the reaction was exactly what I expected. Now to show Brittney’s range: Tonight We Ride should be next.
You guys MUST now watch UTA’s following songs: Time Stands Still Tonight We Ride Cleanse The Bloodlines That’ll get you going for now!!! Welcome to the Party!!!
I love coming back to this video to see how even within the metalheads Kyle's surprise shows you everything you need to know about how amazing this band is
Fantastic reaction guys! Got yourself a sub so i can watch you go down this rabbit hole! UtA is my favorite band and ALL of their music is incredible! The next request is usually "Tonight We Ride" and it showcases Brittney's incredible range, just know its an older track, from 2015, so it and any songs from earlier have a different sound and line up of the band, but its all still impeccable! They started as a more Melodic Death Metal/Power Metal group so the first two albums have a much heavier harsh vocal sound, and each album since has moved them more towards Power/Classic Heavy such as on this track and album, and eventually their newest album Abyss introduced Prog and Synth elements to their overall sound! Outside of Tonight We Ride, Check out "Test Your Metal", "Cleanse The Bloodlines", "Abyss", "Soulbound", "Faster Than Light" and what is considered their Magnum Opus to date, "The Wind That Shapes The Land". Happy listening guys!!!
There's a video where Britney sings in an opera challenge even though she is not trained. I think it's called Opera Challenge #4, but if not you can find it easily. Give it a listen, it's fun and she is awesome.
Brittney has stated she's been singing classical music since she was 8 and received a lot of training through private lessons and choir. After university, she slipped into metal. She's got some classical training for sure, the extent of it I don't know the details. But, the very video you're talking about - she wouldn't be able to correctly sing (jaw position and lip position, breath control, etc) without it. She also wouldn't have the language and pronunciation down as good as she did without some training. My guess is she's prolly about like Floor Jansen from Nigtwish - about 6 mo to a year of dabbling in traing on the opera/classical side of music.
@@rykerroadMOM3123 Hi Mom! Lol! This video Bobbi is talking about is so awesome and fun! It's a duet from a Brindisi opera. You should watch it! The guy is actually studying and learning some opera so they do this on their channel but he is a metal band singer. It's a great channel. I'll l pop the link in for you ‐ more than worth the 5 minutes! The channel is Lord's of the Trident (I believe that's also their band's name). I can't wait for you to check it out and find out what you thought in the next live!!! Here you go...enjoy Mom! m.ua-cam.com/video/Txb0GV9PGl4/v-deo.html
Yeah their live shows are awesome. Saw them last December and it was non-stop energy. I keep checking to see when they will be on tour again and hope it will be soon.
@@drumlord8772 Yeah I figured they were working on the next album. Didn't know about them having a kid until reading comments here. Congrats to them. Looking forward to when they can get back out there.
Bro THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!! The drums, the bass, the lead, the voices, the harmonies, I HAD A TINGLE DOWN THE BACK OF MY NECK!! I wanna unhear this, so I can have another eargasm bro, WTF!!!
I discovered Unleash the Archers through a reaction video and they have grown to be my favourite band. The albums Apex and Abyss tell the story of a being called the Immortal and his encounter with the Matriarch. I love fantasy and metal, so the mix is epic to me. Doing a whole album reaction is probably too much for most people but I would recommend listening to both in order to get the true sense of the whole story.
Elvira behind you is like "Bitch", and Mr. Bean is like the both of you "Ohhh Ohhh, give it to me baby!"🤣🤣👍 I always end up laughing so hard watching you guys.
This was my 1st exposure to UTA and I bought the cd right away. When I found out Abyss was the part 2 of this album I bought it right away even before I heard a song from it and was blown away. I love this group. 😊 great reaction , please do more UTA they are awesome.
General of the dark army, Northwest passage and Test your metal are my fav 3 songs by them. But they rock, you can't go wrong with any song by them!! Have fun and rock on \m/
Great reaction - this is my "find reactors" video. This is simply a masterclass in almost every way, musically and from a videography side. So phenomenal. Anyone who cannot appreciate this the way you guys did does not get a sub, lol.
Check out "Carry the Flame". It's a duet between Brittney and Andrew (the redheaded guitarist he has an amazing voice too). Also, he and Grant, the other guitarist, have been friends and playing together since they were kids. That's why they're so in sync with each other.
Their first album, Demons of the AstroWaste, doesn't get enough love, "City of Iron" and "Ripping Through Time" are among my favourite Unleash the Archers songs. \m/
This is easily one of my favorite bands. Saw them live in Portland. Even if you dont react to them, definitely be sure to listen to both recent albums, they go together and are amazing
I wonder if the young singer you were thinking of, was Sara Menoudakis, of Motion Device (now known as Quarter After Three), She has been their singer since she was 10.
Saw these guys shortly after this album came out w/ Striker and Helion Prime, was so good. Britney Slayes is also super tiny, like, she's so small, but her voice is HUGE
5:21 Did you say "Unlease the Archers?" lol. Just playing. This just got recommended to me, yeah ever since I learned of this band I have been encaptured by their talent. Your reaction to them was very entertaining. I wish to see them live soon in Brooklyn if I can muster up the pocket money.
Yep, they have said that if one gets a copyright strike, just reach out to either the band or the lable.
Yeah even encourage it. hell it was reaction channels that got unleash the archers the recognition they deserve. Hell it was the huge number of reations to this song that got me into them.
FRED!!!
Happy New Year!
Definitely, more win than losses. A significant ad booster for napalm.
Watching Kyle's eyes light up like a kid on Christmas morning was absolutely awesome!
Unleash the Archers are one of those bands that just make me proud to be Canadian. And 11:08 "Nah I don't think that was real" is by far the best reaction I've ever seen to that bass lick, so calm but in utter disbelief
That double face drop is so good
Forgot to mention that Brittney just became a mom. Scott the drummer is the dad. Those two formed the band and are the only two original members still in the band.
Also, Brittney often appears on reactor channels and she has done some fun stuff, like reacting to reaction channels reacting to UTA.
and both guitarists stream often on twitch.
They did a stream of the band playing D&D game. They are a bunch of gamers
Their baby is such a cutie

Thanks to Spotify I’ve opened myself up to a world of music I missed before streaming was around
Saw them in Edmonton a few years back, was one of the best metal performances I have ever witnessed live.
This is one of my all time favorite bands. I would love to see y'all react to more of their stuff. The singer is dynamic
You guys still need to see them do tonight we ride...it's epic. Great reaction my guys!
Love it when I get to see first time reactions to this song. The minds that get blown just makes me giggle.

Unleash the archers is peak powermetal im glad to see others first time reactions. Kinda lets me relive it.
brittany slayes is like bruce dickenson and ronnie james dio had a baby.
Best reaction and reaction channel. Love you guys
2:53. 🤣 Eric is doing the Mannequin challenge.
11:13. 🤣 Kyle has left the building.
There's a video where Britney sings in an opera challenge even though she is not trained. I think it's called Opera Challenge #4, but if not you can find it easily. Give it a listen, it's fun and she is awesome.
Oooooh!!!

@@Harbor-S omgosh Thank Youuu!!
@@rykerroadMOM3123 you're most welcome🤘🏻😁
Yeah their live shows are awesome. Saw them last December and it was non-stop energy. I keep checking to see when they will be on tour again and hope it will be soon.
They are in the writing process right now...plus Britney and Scott (Singer/Drummer) just had a baby.
@@drumlord8772 Yeah I figured they were working on the next album. Didn't know about them having a kid until reading comments here. Congrats to them. Looking forward to when they can get back out there.
Lyrically this album and abyss tell a story that connect. It's awesome.
Listening to both full albums back to back (after knowing all the lyrics) is absolutely amazing.
Best reaction channel. Hands down. Discovered a lot of new music and their energy makes it a lot more enjoyable
Bro THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!! The drums, the bass, the lead, the voices, the harmonies, I HAD A TINGLE DOWN THE BACK OF MY NECK!! I wanna unhear this, so I can have another eargasm bro, WTF!!!
“This is how you chorus” 😂😂😂
Y’all missed the drummers shirt…it’s a “Married with Children “ shirt that says I’m a Bundy Junkie…thought yalll would like that nostalgia
I discovered Unleash the Archers through a reaction video and they have grown to be my favourite band.
The albums Apex and Abyss tell the story of a being called the Immortal and his encounter with the Matriarch. I love fantasy and metal, so the mix is epic to me.
Doing a whole album reaction is probably too much for most people but I would recommend listening to both in order to get the true sense of the whole story.
this is basically the same reaction of everyone I show this to
this song is literally perfect imo
Elvira behind you is like "Bitch", and Mr. Bean is like the both of you "Ohhh Ohhh, give it to me baby!"🤣🤣👍
I always end up laughing so hard watching you guys.
This was my 1st exposure to UTA and I bought the cd right away. When I found out Abyss was the part 2 of this album I bought it right away even before I heard a song from it and was blown away. I love this group. 😊 great reaction , please do more UTA they are awesome.
Best reaction..Ever guys !! Mind blowing music candy for anyone who loves metal. !!
This song is absolutely filthy. Every instrument and vocal is 10/10.
General of the dark army, Northwest passage and Test your metal are my fav 3 songs by them. But they rock, you can't go wrong with any song by them!! Have fun and rock on \m/
Guys, one of the best reactions I've seen. Hurry and do more UTA reactions so you can listen to the entire catalog. They're amazing. Pure Metal
UtA is a Canadian band, so jamming to them in a snow storm is the default.
Everyone waiting on the bass at the end of the solo and..................Kyle's reaction LMAO!
Unleash teh Archers was actually the first band I ever saw live. And they have been one of my favorites since I found them. They are AWESOME!
Kyle's "Achievement Unlocked - New Favourite Band"
Great reaction - this is my "find reactors" video. This is simply a masterclass in almost every way, musically and from a videography side. So phenomenal. Anyone who cannot appreciate this the way you guys did does not get a sub, lol.
I'm still here, and yes I loved this reaction. Let's go!! Tell mom I said hi!
Crazy reaction - loved it!!! Instant Abo
Greetings from Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany
Check out "Carry the Flame". It's a duet between Brittney and Andrew (the redheaded guitarist he has an amazing voice too). Also, he and Grant, the other guitarist, have been friends and playing together since they were kids. That's why they're so in sync with each other.
Their first album, Demons of the AstroWaste, doesn't get enough love, "City of Iron" and "Ripping Through Time" are among my favourite Unleash the Archers songs. \m/
A UTA reaction always gets a blind 'thump up' from me to owner my queen and reactor's work 🙏
Bros just bought one of your hats and will be wearing it in up coming videos you guys are by far my fav channel
Proper power metal is the kind that makes you want to slay princesses and rescue dragons.
The Apex album this comes off of, is in my top 5 albums. It's such a beautiful album
This is easily one of my favorite bands. Saw them live in Portland. Even if you dont react to them, definitely be sure to listen to both recent albums, they go together and are amazing
This is one of my absolute favorite bands
This entire album is amazing and tells a story. Who am I kidding, everything UTA touches is gold.
I wonder if the young singer you were thinking of, was Sara Menoudakis, of Motion Device (now known as Quarter After Three), She has been their singer since she was 10.
I am SO STOKED that y'all are stepping into my favorite band. All I can say is...buckle up. 🤘😈🤘
Saw these guys shortly after this album came out w/ Striker and Helion Prime, was so good. Britney Slayes is also super tiny, like, she's so small, but her voice is HUGE
This song makes me want to break into someone's house and play D&D on their coffee table.
Next, Lovebites (band from Japan).. or Nemophila, and you are done with tapping thing
