Being a Kayastha from Bihar, I feel proud that I belong to one of the most educated and progressive communities in India. Even in our Bihar, Kayastha has highest literacy rate among all castes and has high levels of socio-economic development. In UP too, Kayastha has highest level of literacy. But the one thing that concerns me the most is the disunity among us. We Kayastha are the most disunited upper caste in India .

We CKPs aren't Brahmins indeed (though we are Brahmin-like) but we aren't related to other Kayasthas such as Lalas and Bengalis either. Infact among non-CKPs the caste culturally closest to us are the Brahmins of Western India. Our "origin" is from Ujjain and Ayodhya from where we went to Kashmir during Nanda dynasty rule. Then after the rule of Harshvardhan Bais, we migrated to Sindh, Gujarat and Malwa, from where we migrated in waves during the rule of Rashtrakutas and Shilaharas. And no we didn't separate from you during the Mughal period. We never separated from you at all actually. We have always been distinct with absolutely no relations whatsoever. Stop trying to distort our CKP traditions and history.

Rango Bapuji Gupte who fought the case of the Chattrapati of Satara in the courts of London was also CKP. He was lost before the mutiny of 1857 for helping the nationalist forces trying to liberate India. Make another full fledged documentary on these people each a Gem in his own right.

Public knows, Brahman is vegetarian and ckp are non vegetarian. 90% public is traditionally non vegetarian, besides non Brahmin public thinks it was Brahman peshwa who was held responsible for the fall of maratha empire and Mahatma Gandhi's assignation by one Brahman has sparked the old anger and whatever against Brahman, caused killings of many Brahman and their homes etc. So Brahman were almost out of politics in Maharashtra. General public was not in favor of Brahman leadership. Ckp are in many aspects, better than Brahman in intelligence etc. Also gen public feel closer to them because of their diet etc. what do you think?

Is it true that Shivsena wouldn't have been a success in Maharashtra,had it been lead by some Brahman leader. It was only successful because Balasaheb Thakarey was CKP. Maharashtra has almost banned Brahman from politics and government jobs after the assassination of Mahtama Gandhi.
People don't view CKPs as non-Brahmin, people can't understand the difference between the Prabhu caste and the Brahman caste

Public knows, Brahman is vegetarian and ckp are non vegetarian. 90% public is traditionally non vegetarian, besides non Brahmin public thinks it was Brahman peshwa who was held responsible for the fall of maratha empire and Mahatma Gandhi's assignation by one Brahman has sparked the old anger and whatever against Brahman, caused killings of many Brahman and their homes etc. So Brahman were almost out of politics in Maharashtra. General public was not in favor of Brahman leadership. Ckp are in many aspects, better than Brahman in intelligence etc. Also gen public feel closer to them because of their diet etc. what do you think?
