The national anthem of the two neighbouring countries India and Bangladesh was composed by Biswa Kobi Rabindranath Tagore( Janagana Mana and Amar Sonar Bangla respectively). West Bengal, Bangladesh shows similarities in food, costume and culture . Proud to be a part of Bengali- Indian family.❤❤

In the comment section, someone introduced Bengali contribution to science and literature, wherein literature part, he mentioned Jibonondho Das, and Michel Madhusudhun Datta's names, but not Kazi Nazrul Islam. He divided Bengali intellectuals by Religion. And many are blaming, Bangladeshi are not Bengali.
Actually the Bangladeshi part despite being bengal has a lot to tell, Bangladeshis actually don't know history properly, I am an Bangladeshi hindu who had to escape to India for the Muslims, so i can say that Bangladeshi government highlights a lot of invaders such as Baktiyar khilji etc etc, who actually ruined The Indian subcontinent however Bangladeshi government still makes them stand as heros as they spreaded Islam, If this video touches that controversial topic then i am quite sure every Bangladeshi who knew all this rubbish from there books gonna spread here hate messages as they think this is wrong, this was not what they were taught, They don't even know the truth

The term Bangabda (Bangla year) is found too in two Shiva temples many centuries older than Akbar era, suggesting that a Bengali calendar existed long before Akbar's time. (Source: wikipedia)

For education, intellect, virtues and happiness, we can first tell them and keep reminding, and we can do this, keeping in mind that, all these are treasures of "GOD", and is indestructible. We are just the medium. But before we do that, reflection of all above, should be on our faces our living and our behaviour. Christians did this pretty regularly, but could not sustain, as their basis was earning from others. Muslims keep telling, by way of violence and viceful acts. Hindus are not able to do this, as they don't know the responsibilities, acts of their dieties. Great video as always! I'd like to point out 2 things: 1. The part about Alexander and Nanda Empire was highly inaccurate as no available records suggest a war between Nandas and Alexander, as the Greeks were afraid of the millitary power of Nandas. Besides, Nanda Empire was centred at Bihar with it's capital in Patna, thus Bengalis had little to do with the victories of Nanda Empire. 2. An important thing which wasn't mentioned here was the Siddha literature of Bengal which includes medieval poems in older form of Bangla, known as Dohas. Known for their remarkable poetic brilliance, these Dohas include philosophical puzzles encoded with esoteric meanings and are still highly revered by Buddhists in Tibet, although are completely forgotten and ignored in India. These Bengali poets (enlightened masters) had a vast influence in their times and include names like Charyanatha, Matsyendranatha, Luhipada, Tillopada, etc.
@@arnabhazra3269 I didn't say that the Empire was Bihar, Bengal or some other modern state; I meant to say that the Magadha Empire (and its Nanda, Maurya, Haryanka etc. dynasties) *originated* in, was *centred* at, and originally comprised mostly of, what we _today_ call Bihar, *with its capital being the same* as today's Bihar. *While Bengal/Bengalis or any other eastern region or community was never called 'Magadha/Magadhi' even though it was **_conquered_** by Magadha Empire for some time. Bengal was then known as 'Vanga' (later Banga>Bangal>Bong); 'Vanga' and 'Magadha' were originally different regions/communities as mentioned in the Mahabharata.* As far as continuity and heritage is concerned, even today South Bihar is traditionally known as *Magadh* region (while Bihar north of Ganga is known as Mithila), with its people speaking Magadhi / Magahi language, establishing that although Magadha Empire conquered most of Eastern India (later most of Indian Subcontinent), *it was ethnically and culturally from Bihar (specifically South Bihar).* _Just like the Maratha or Chola Empire consisted of many states but they were still ethnically from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu respectively._ *Side Note:* Unlike Bengali, Sindhi Gujarati which are traditional and linguistic communities, 'Bihari' is no community or language at all, as the state of Bihar (or UP or MP) wasn't made on linguistic/cultural grounds. *BUT Bihar consists of 4 traditional communities* - Maithili (North), *Magadhi/Magahi (South)* , Bhojpuri (West), Anga/Angik (East, speaking Angika). Each of these speak their own *different* languages. And this is the reason for many confusions/misunderstandings when it comes to the culture and history of Bihar.

Hello, Epic Channel. Thank you for providing such an interesting and great video about Bengal's culture and people. As a Bengali, I was likewise unaware of these aspects of my own culture. Thank you for informing me. However, there is a little confusion that I must clarify: The term "Bangla" does not originate in France. Infact "Bangla" has its origins in the ancient language of the region, Sanskrit. It's believed to have derived from the word "Vanga," which referred to an ancient kingdom in the Bengal region. Over time, the name evolved to "Bangla" and became associated with the language, culture, and the people of Bengal, an area encompassing parts of present-day Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. I am eagerly awaiting more of your videos of this type.
I think when u r dealing with the history of Bengal, it is best to show Bengal as a whole (including present day Bangladesh and West Bengal)..
Also Assam (Barak valley) and Tripura.
That's what exactly I was thinking during the whole video.!
Various parts of India and Myanmar's Arakan was also part of it
Ohh my goodness you flipped it the other way ... RAJA BIJOYSINGHA from Singhpur (presentsly Singhur) went to Sirlanka, named it Singhala (later it became Srilanka) ... so 75% of Sinhalees are Bengalee (proven thrú genetic studies) and last but not the least Srilankan national anthem has a touch by Rabindranath Tagore

If you are dealing with history of Bengal then how can you avoid Bangladesh? Many of the great Bengali poets, scientists and social-reformers was born in Undivided Bengal.
I agree
Not only the Videomaker but also maybe the majority of young Generation in West Bengal think differently than scholars, experienced and comparatively older ppl of West Bengal.

2)You have just showed only West Bengal but that time undivided Bengal was actually (West Bengal + Present Bangladesh).
I'm from Bangladesh🇧🇩
Yes.... you are right
Exactly
Modern day Sri lanka and Sinhalese identity came from the prince of great Singha dynasty of Bengal, Bijoy Singha
Thik bolechen dada
They have got it wrong and in the reverse order. Bengalis went and settled in Sri Lanka at one point in history.

But the poor and patriotic people stayed in Bangladesh .

Hi Vaswati, Thank you for your appreciation.
Great video as always! I'd like to point out 2 things:
Bengal has always been a hotbed of spirituality.
Wow. Thanks for sharing such interesting facts 👍👍
@@chandraninath3005 🙌
Brother at that time there war no Bihar all region come under Magadh include Bihar , Bengal , Chattisgarh , and some eastern part also
@@arnabhazra3269 I didn't say that the Empire was Bihar, Bengal or some other modern state; I meant to say that the Magadha Empire (and its Nanda, Maurya, Haryanka etc. dynasties) *originated* in, was *centred* at, and originally comprised mostly of, what we _today_ call Bihar, *with its capital being the same* as today's Bihar. *While Bengal/Bengalis or any other eastern region or community was never called 'Magadha/Magadhi' even though it was **_conquered_** by Magadha Empire for some time. Bengal was then known as 'Vanga' (later Banga>Bangal>Bong); 'Vanga' and 'Magadha' were originally different regions/communities as mentioned in the Mahabharata.*
As far as continuity and heritage is concerned, even today South Bihar is traditionally known as *Magadh* region (while Bihar north of Ganga is known as Mithila), with its people speaking Magadhi / Magahi language, establishing that although Magadha Empire conquered most of Eastern India (later most of Indian Subcontinent), *it was ethnically and culturally from Bihar (specifically South Bihar).* _Just like the Maratha or Chola Empire consisted of many states but they were still ethnically from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu respectively._
*Side Note:* Unlike Bengali, Sindhi Gujarati which are traditional and linguistic communities, 'Bihari' is no community or language at all, as the state of Bihar (or UP or MP) wasn't made on linguistic/cultural grounds.

However, there is a little confusion that I must clarify:
The term "Bangla" does not originate in France.
Love to watch all religions culture, literature, History and many more things that we can't find in school text books... 🌼
