Without a doubt their best record. This tops GOE easily for me just from production level alone. This new lineup is a fucking god squad and everyone is performing at their highest level. There literally isn't a single bad or boring song on this record, which I think every other LP has at least one or two. Every lead is unbelievably good and Kyle is doing some of the coolest drum parts I've heard since he was playing in Mother of Mercy lmao. THIS is the return to form I wanted.
Agreed with the notion of this being their best effort. Personally, I dont feel so warmly towards "Bernie Sanders" and the closer, since it feels like a less engaging regurgitation of the penultimate song on the record, but overall I do think, that the song-writing on this album Is their best. That said, as with every other of their albums, Im Amazed only by a couple of the tracks on the record (exception with the first record, which in general I just dont like), like "Say Less", "April Ha Ha", and "Just A Story".
I've no idea what "shoegaze" is but I love what these individuals produce, mostly now, my sweet wife just passed, she would have loved this. As I do, cheers from the west.
really sorry to hear about your wife. if you're liking this band, i might recommend the band Whirr, they have a similar vibe but not exactly the same kind of sound
I feel ache over your loss and express my condolences, yet Im also glad this genre has helped you find a source of beauty somewhere in this dark period. Also, I have to agree with @@tired8302 about the band Whirr, which I have been head over heals for over the past few years, and their effect on my own mental well being has been immeasurably positive. My personal favorite is their latest album, as it satisfies my sonic wishes like nothing else and it might be my favorite album of all time, but I think that when it comes to perfection, their Around EP is the closest they got, if only because they recorded it live. That said, anybody more knowledgeable than me feel free to correct me on that last point, if there are other records they recorded live.

A Fabricated Life only makes me think of Hurt (NIN) if it was more melodic, and Famine Asylum is such an amazing wall of sound. My two personal faves. Whole album is excellent. Great stuff!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard an album that encapsulates musically the feelings of a certain time period so well. Humans really are in the great dismal right now

Honestly felt underwhelmed when i first heard this, same for the second and third listens but something made me want to keep coming back to it and now i love it. I loved dance on the blacktop too though so idk. A fabricated life, say less, Bernie Sanders and in blueberry memories are my favourites. Nice to see uploads without ads between each song too. Actually listened to an 8 minute song the other day with an ad 3 minutes into it ..perhaps mid song ads are something to look forward to in future as UA-cam push the paid version
Guys, I didnt leasten you before, but this album... For me you and Sorry are 2 bands of 2020. Your sound is amazing, Say Less... I heard it maybe 30 times. Thank u

I would say less shoegaze and more grunge-ish. They remind me of deftones mixed with superheaven

In Blueberry Memories 26:29 is the best song on this monumental album
And I love Say Less
I love the way Ask The Rust fades out drenched in chorus, kind of reminds me of a Failure song.
The entire album is a nice Failure/Filter/APC/Smashing Pumpkins mix, I think.
'Just A Story' is the sleeper song on this record...so fucking HEAVY, yet melodious. The entire record is golden, but WOW, that track is a banger.
When it goes quiet near the end and those drums come pounding in is an absolute CRUSHER of a way to cap that song.
I'm not crying, *you're crying.*
album is ridiculous good
Say less is one of my all time favourites now for sure
