Inspired by the harsh, rural landscapes of Indiana which they call home, CLOAKROOM drift through a range of emotions and styles on their sophomore full-length Time Well. Fuzzy and depressive. Expressive and expansive. An amalgam of doomy stoner rock, psychedelic shoegaze and moody, pop-influenced, sonic abrasion, Time Well is 10 songs and 60+ minutes of crunchy, guitar-driven atmosphere and downbeat rhythms layered atop deceptively sweet and tranquil melodies. At times crushingly heavy, others gorgeously contemplative, CLOAKROOM write music with purpose and intent; to dissolve from this world into an infinite blur.

I just play this entire album all the way through and never get tired of it. The more you listen to it the better the songs get
I agree
this is literally the most slept on album in existence a straight up masterpiece
Still is.
-side of jelly beans
just hearing it for the first time and my ears are like 🤤🤭
Sounds like a mix between Hum and Failure and I'm not complaining one bit!
My dream tour would be Cloakroom, Hum, Failure.
Agree on both counts, but I'd also add "what if Weezer didn't suck so hard?"

Something about their melodic but under-the-surface rough sound does miracles for me on long runs, bike rides & swims.
This album is so refreshing; just melts the stress away
Those drums sound massive
Cloakroom, you make my life more pleasant thank you
pure masterpiece
This Album sounds like the sea level has risen to a point where most of the land
is now underwater and the few people who survived adapted to live in Submarines
and drift around in the endless oceans.
You want me to believe 3 people made this sound? This is incredible.
DAMN FREAKIN RIGHT !!! amazed Nothing is touring more than them gotta love Doyle tho
I have been waiting for their new album to drop since my friend Eric introduced me to them about 1.5 years ago. Thank you for the upload.
ERIC is the mvp
Seedless star is by the far the best song.
the coolest album of the year!
I decided to go to the cloakroom & this is what I discover. Well I ain't leavin....!!
Hum + My Bloody Valentine = CLOACKROOM
just discovered this and god damn where has this been hanging out, instant purchase
CLOAK + ROOM = CLOAKROOM
new and stimulating
this thing is fucking nice.
the 6 minute mark reminds me of Jesu
Has that comfy feel of Catherine Wheel and Jakob, really nice stuff
jakob
Thx for this and best wishes 💫
Failure + Mineral = CLOAKROOM
Hum + Jesu + some sluge band + MBV + Whirr +
Stonergaze
StonerHaze ~
the best album released in 2017!
Sound of weight, but organic. Soft and deep music between heavy and striking riffs.
They surpassed the nickname of “stoner emo” to surprise with an album full of influences of bands from Truckfighters until Radiohead.
Great, innovative!
What u think of ISIS?
so uplifting
Glad to finally hear the vocals
5:39 What is that weird sound in the background...is that the bass? Sounds awesome
Sounds like a bass-flute hahahah
Bass feedback
The frontman/ guitar player uses a fuzz pedal. Like a Big Muff or something
I see some complaints about the vocals being too low, but im looking at it for what it is, rather than for what it isnt. Im new to the band, just heard this album today, but seems to have some Isis elements to it, which is definitely a good thing.
It's that classic Midwest boy lost in a typhoon sound.
A.O.T.Y.
♥
Saw me through three hellish years of college and counting. I told Doyle as much when I saw them play last year. Wonderful, down-to-Earth dudes that have made one of the best shoegaze-inspired alt/metal albums of the past decade. Long may they run.
THIS BAND AND THIS ALBUM IN PARTICULAR ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO US AS A BAND ....

Reminds me of Swevedriver
Someone said this was produced by Matt Talbott. Is that true?
That was their debut "Further Out". This one was produced by their friend Zac Montez.
@@dissolution_wave8875 ok thanks for clearing that up
Last song is trying super hard to be Aaron Turner.
That depends, which AT project are you thinking of?
the next nirvana!
the next nirvana!!!
Sorry folks, although this album isn't bad but it really did nothing for me other than make me bored and tired.
well, you're entitled to your opinion !
And your shallow emotional depth. I'm jk, check out narrowhead's album satisfaction. It's more stimulating but just as melodic
then, like, why did you listen to it?? different strokes for different folksies
@@redfoxrambler1294 How am I to know if I would like it or not if I don't listen to it in its entirety? A number of albums make me feel very neutral. Don't like it, don't hate it but leaves no impression on me or my mood. However then there's music which is horrible to me and annoys me. Certain popular music has done this to me before. I wish more people would politely leave honest comments about how a recording made them feel. A lot of people don't simply because they don't want to waste their time, offend others (especially the artists) or be considered rude.
@@emilphoryew9436 sure, though it seems like if one just felt "meh" about something they would continue on their way and let others enjoy it, perhaps saving critical/negative comments either for actual bad things or bands/artists that were once good but aren't anymore? Not that any of this matters really, I just stumbled onto this band and really enjoyed it so it seemed odd for someone to listen to the whole thing and not like it as opposed to switch it off once the lack of like is determined
