    I think that with bikes like these you actually go faster than the bigger ones in the twistes, looks like a ton of fun!! :)

    • @manbiteslife3110
      @manbiteslife3110 9 місяців тому

      Well 4 cylinders with low hp are hard to keep in power, you need to be in 1-2 gear all the time.. But it's way more fun than staying on second gear all the time like in a 1000cc imo. I trully miss my cbr500r , I just wish it was a little bit lighter. It was so much fun changing 3 gears to hit 100kmph

    • @scottseedell238
      @scottseedell238 7 місяців тому

      4 cylinder but hardly low power. This engine will be outputting over 100bhp, more than double what your twin CBR500R is chucking out. These inline 4s just love to rev right out and really come alive after about 6000rpm.

    I had a CBR600F about 20 years ago and I used to ride like this-well nowhere near as fast as this, if I'm honest!-and this terrified the living crap out of me! I was shouting f_ck off, f_ck off, f_ck off at nearly every bend. I had to pause the video about half way through to calm down as my heartbeat was racing! I'm getting old! haha Nice video and great riding skills. Take care.

You're becoming an expert at identifying the sound of things scraping on the tarmac. I can imagine you in a few years: SSSSRRRRRR!!! "It was the left foot peg of a Ducati Monster", FFFFFRRRRR!!! Good timing you talking about the traffic, that's one thing I have been wondering for a while. The roads in your videos often look quite empty,
    is it just normal or do you go out when you know it's going to be like that?

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  8 років тому

      This was on a Saturday so this was a very lucky run actually. I went back and forth 3 or 4 times on that day and this was by far the best run I had regarding traffic. Usually I try to ride on weekdays.

    • @seventysevencats
      @seventysevencats 8 років тому

      Oh, I see. I tried week days and weekends but I'm still on a small 125 for now and even 1 car can be a major pain to overtake without a fair stretch of road or the balls needed.
      The worse is that they're often very slow in the corners but accelerate on the straigthts, making it even more difficult...

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  8 років тому

      I know that all too well. I rode my CB restricted down to 27bhp for the first two years. Overtaking those straight speeders was a pain in the ass!

    Hey Schaaf, Super Video wie immer ;)
    Heute habe ich eine kleine Frage an dich:
    ich hab mir ne Honda CB500 PC32 BJ 1997 (in rot und wunderschön gepflegt) gekauft und fahre seit ca. 1 Woche damit und bin natürlich totaler Anfänger, mir is aufgefallen das man bei dir das schalten nicht hört, bei mir klackt es meiner Meinung immer recht hörbar, mache ich hier etwas falsch oder ist das bei Motorrädern normal ?
    MfG Alex
    PS: Schöne Grüße aus Graz

    • @rammsteinfreundsonne
      @rammsteinfreundsonne 8 років тому

      Meine knallt vorallem zwischen dem Leerlauf und dem 2 und 3. Ist aber weitgehend normal. Einfach schnell und weich schalten dann hast du weniger Geräusche.

    • @Glitch-AW
      @Glitch-AW 8 років тому

      Okay, danke für den Tipp :)

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  8 років тому

      +Glitch Ja, das die Schaltvorgänge in der Anfangszeit noch nicht besonders elegant von statten gehen, das ist vollkommen normal :) Und meine hört man auch ein wenig weniger stark, weil ich ohne Kupplung und daher sehr schnell hochschalte.

    • @rammsteinfreundsonne
      @rammsteinfreundsonne 8 років тому

      Schaaf
      Ja. Obwohl man sagen muss, das alte CB500 Getriebe gerne anfangen zusätzliche Leerläufe einzubauen, wenn man ohne Kupplung arbeitet.
      Aber letzendlich muss man selber üben und probieren, da jedes Getriebe anders über die Jahre bearbeitet wurde.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  8 років тому

      bwahaha musst mal mit einer 2016er Multistrada fahren, da hab ich zwischen jedem Gang zuverlässig Leerläufe gefunden, so bald man das Ding mal nicht mehr unter Volllast ohne Kupplung geschalten hat :D

    • @dantonchat71
      @dantonchat71 Рік тому +1

      @@manbiteslife3110 Yep, kept it for 3 years, and loved every ride of it. Loved the chassis and the ease of use. Only downside was that it lacked character (but coming from a sv650 and having access to ducatis, it was to be expected from me)
      I finally didn't go the exhaust route because it can get painstakingly loud real quick

    • @manbiteslife3110
      @manbiteslife3110 Рік тому +1

      @@dantonchat71 I see and I am glad. What are you riding now? I am looking at one example, very well kept, engine has 60k Kilometers on it, that's the only caveat for me, because I am thinking if I put another 20 there, who would want a 80k kilometer bike.. Everything is stock, has couple extras on it that I don't really care about, locks/immobilizer/couple crash pads, and new tires and chain. He wants 4500 euros, and it is the only example so decently priced (there aren't popular in Greece at all, currently there are like 4 of them for sale).
      I come from a cbr500r that is exactly the same bike ergonomically, and all I wanted was more power, without sacrificing a lot of fuel economy and comfort. I know it doesn't have a lot of character like a crazy supersport or whatever, but seems like a very reasonable choice, it does exactly what I want.. What do you think?

    • @dantonchat71
      @dantonchat71 Рік тому

      It's high mileage, I wouldn't worry to much about the engine but more on the chassis (shocks, forks etc). You might want to look at other European countries market and enjoy the ride home.
      I didn't replace it sadly as I was moving to the city without a place to store it or the time to ride it. But when the opportunity will present itself I'll probably go for a triumph 765 street triple or a 890 duke

    Schaaf i got to ride a kawasaki zx6r when i was out to buy a bike. The thing is i felt the bike had some alignment issue or something but that thing keep pushing me towards left. I tried to control it but it was so hard it made me scared. I just want to know as you're experienced rider are all the bikes same handling wise? Is it that hard to turn a bike. I used to ride suzuki gs150 and that bike was a toy for me. Serious question guys. Now ill be going to check out cbr600f. Please let me know bro.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  8 років тому +1

      I'm not a very experienced rider for a fact :) I only rode a Daytona 675 as super sports so far and it is not hard to turn at all. Different to a small upright naked but still, not hard.

    • @Audacitycs1
      @Audacitycs1 8 років тому

      Schaaf then that bike definitely had some alignment issues.

      Hey schaaf which one you like better Suzuki Sv650 or Honda Cbr? Im so confused rn. sv650 is 2 cyl so i think ull go towards sv. On other hand i have an option to get Bandit 1200 too. Very Confused :(. I selected vfr800fi before but the guy sold it to someone else before i got to pay the token money for it.

    • @Schaaf

      SV650 because of the two cylinder engine indeed

    I wonder how people riding that fast on roads are compared to people riding fast on track. That would be awesome video to look at. Fast road guy vs Fast track guy and average road guy, on track :D

    Hey Schaaf, first of all I love your videos, secondly I have an important question: Between the CBR 600F and the new CBR 650F, which one would you choose? Reason I'm asking is these are the two bikes I've narrowed it down to for my next bike, but I can't find any handling comparisons between the two :(

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 років тому

      haven't tried the 650, sorry

    • @bellator11
      @bellator11 7 років тому

      Ah alright. How about the CBR 600F vs MT 07, which would you prefer for fast cornering, and which one do you reckon is faster from stop to 100 km/h ?

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 років тому

      I'd prefer the Honda (better suspension) and I'm also guessing the Honda's brakes are more powerful but I could be wrong with that.

    Just tested the Ducati Supersport and I think it's better in that you can get into the power and torque sooner on the road and not have the scream around on it. In America you'd have to worry about Deer, Moose, Bear and countless small animals darting across the road.
