Schaaf I saw this video one year ago, you made me buy this bike. Now after 1year and 2 weeks, with 23000km, 6 tire set used, 2 set of brake pads... I can say it's the best option comparing to all other "sport touring" bikes (F900XR, GSX1000GT, Tracer 9 GT...) tested all of them. Thanks for your content, and for making me discover this hell of a bike. Greetings!

Awesome ride. Seriously love this bike - bought one and it’s coming in a couple of days. Can’t wait so I’m watching this to kill the time until it arrives. It’ll be a while until I’m confident enough to ride like that though - if I ever get to 50% of your flow I’ll consider it mission accomplished. Take care and ride safe.
Love seeing someone who can ride this bike at last... faster & safer than some on trackdays. That gearbox just wants to be used (even though you don't have to) & the kiss off the brakes is bliss... i spend the whole winter waiting for the roads to be dry enough for that sound... cheers
Great video, great sound! I appreciate the lack of crappy background music, just the sweet sound of the engine being ridden hard and fast. Also appreciate the lack of constant blah blah blah chatter that most bike reviewers engage in. I have a 2021 R1250RS and absolutely love it. I mostly ride it in town or short local rides, and for my very short work commute (2 miles). The bike is so nimble in town, but I love to get out on local back roads or short interstate jaunts to wind it out and enjoy that shift cam engine. I have not yet gotten into the mountains with it. I did ride an R1250RT in Italy and Austria last year with my wife as passenger. Loved it. It's a bit heavier than the RS, but very comfortable with my wife riding with me. I believe she may have rebelled if we were riding 2-up on the RS. My other bike is a 2018 K1600GTL. It is a bit heavier for in town, but a dream for long distance touring and mountain roads. The engine is so sweet and the quick-shifter is like buttah! If I had to have only 1 bike, it would be the RT, but having the RS and the GTL is the best solution for me.
Recently taken the 2019 1250RS for a short test ride and really enjoyed it but I need more time on the bike so have another test ride planned. I'll vlog that ride as well. Good times indeed!! I can seriously see one in my garage replacing my R1200GS for sure! Schaaf, you're such a tease!
Very good review Schaaf. I have watched a few reviews about the R 1250 RS and still think if I had the money, which I don`t! I would put R1250R handlebars on it, move the GPS above the TFT screen and have the Exclusive in blue. I really do struggle to understand why this model is not the most popular of the four choices! OH well , we are all different. ride safe.
I've test ridden the R, RS and GS. The R feels the most agile but lacks wind protection (so far so obvious). The RS feels longer and bigger and the cockpit is pants. The GS is a happy medium - good weather protection, but comfortable and the visibility is brilliant in traffic or riding fast. I used to think the RS was the goldilocks model but it wasn't for me.
Hell yeah, so good! I’ve been waiting for you to ride this one, as it’s a total dream bike for me. How did you find the seat and riding position? Comfortable enough for long days of riding / touring?
Man, I really want one. I love my 2020 Katana to death, but that R1250RS is definitely a dream bike, I love those classic style sport-touring bikes and BMW makes a fantastic one for sure.

What about a long trip? Let's say 800 - 900 kms in a day. Many thanks!

Planning to buy new bike next spring, but cant decide this or ktm superduke gt...🤔
that's an easy choice actually.
Test ridden r1250rs, black one coming home next week :)
why the camera has no wind sound
Thx for sharing. I’m coming from a Ninet and ordered my RS yesterday. Can’t wait.
Where hav you been driving there? Great Landscape looks a little bit like Thüringer Wald 😀
Have fun!
The best review ever! Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
This would be an excellent gift for the mother-in-law. Strapped on Schaaf's pillion seat!
hahaha
What a sound.... have you tried r1250 r, by any chance? How it compares to RS
What a video pass, masterful!!
Thanks
01:08 how did you do that? Rear break? or shift down? i think it sounds like abs..
Front brake only. It is the combined braking system's fault
Hi! Really thinking on this bike but didn't try it yet. Appreciate if you can share your thoughts and answer my questions (really short):
- I'm 1,68 tall. Can I easily reach the floor and comfortably or only with one feet?
- Air protection at 130-140 km/h? Neck, shoulders, head, arms... I know it is not the RT but....
- Position, ergonomy. What about a long trip? Let's say 800 - 900 kms in a day.
Many thanks!
Wind protection is fairly decent, all other questions you'll have to answer for yourself :)
Schaltassitent Pro. Ne feine Sache
absolut
I like so much the telelever that I asking myself about the new boxer, if it worth it ?, I like simple things, and water cooled etc doesn t go in this direction
I was riding a 2009 gs, maybe the best one I had, I trioed the new 2010 with the radial valves, was not bad but I like things to be as simple as possible so the old version of the engine was something of a graal for me
A friend got a RS1250, since he get it, It was harder to play in front ;)
just try it and you'll see :)
The year is 2021 October.. Does this still live in your memory as maybe a bike you would keep?.. I'm looking at buying one, sold my 2016 s1000xr, bought a tiger 900 gt pro, just sold it Saturday now looking at this.. What's your thoughts?..
The Super Duke GT is the one I'd get today
@@Schaaf cheers bro, does that include for touring and comfort?
Would love to see you ride the BMW R1250R SPORT HP please
can't choose the bikes I get to ride unfortunately
If it's any help, I test rode one (at least I think this is the HP model)... ua-cam.com/video/ZdlW0KuFGMA/v-deo.html
