Hi , I just got a shrade walden 165 woodsman. Nice knife, but one of the rivets is cracked. How would I go about removing and replacing it? Or could you direct me to someone who could? Thanks, Jim
The cutlers rivets look like a good way to install your scales. So, do you still need to epoxy the scales on or do the rivets not require glue? I would think that dirt and stuff would get under the scales without the epoxy glue. Also, I think the glue would serve as somewhat of a reinforcement to the scales. What are your thoughts?
We would suggest to use epoxy even with the cutlers rivets, and other hardware like corby bolts. It gives it some added strength, and yes, it would help keep stuff from making its way in between the knife and the handle material. We didn't use any epoxy in the video, we wanted to keep it short and to the point to demonstrate the cutlers rivets. Thanks!

I want a FLAT cut drill bit for my handle rivets. NOT cone shape is that what your using?
What drill bit did you use for the countersinking?
Where do you get these
what material is it that you are using for the handle the hot pink one or the blue?
the blue is tape over the sharp edge so he doesn't cut himself accidentally. the pink is the actual scale material
Three thumbs up!
