  • Part 1/3 - Tired of removing the rear deck to check the level of the transducer fluid? Many of us have had issues with leaking transducer seals and even after changing out the seal, as in the previous videos, one might still have issues with depths not reading correctly - usually intermittent readings, or the annoying flashing of the depth numbers. This can be caused by air in the transducer body due to some kind of leak in the line that exits the bottom of the transducer body.

I really enjoy your helpful videos! Thank you so much for posting them. I have a 2020 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy and your videos give great ideas on how to combat engineer flaws from the manufacturer(s)

Bless their hearts ( as we say in Texas). Some of the things that just seem overlooked in the production of the units. Glad to be able to help. BTW - The transducer in the Seadoo FishPro is a Garmin GT15M transducer, BUT Modified by Garmin/SeaDOo to have a shorter transducer cable, AND to have 4-pin threaded connector at the end of it, instead of the Garmin stock 8 pin connector in the GT15Ms that are used for boating. The Garmin replacement transducer that you will get from thegpsstore.com or others will have this 8 pin termination, and even though you get the 8-pin to 4 pin adapter, the termination on the 4 pin end WILL NOT adapt to the installed Seadoo cable that runs from your engine bay up to the Echomap. Translation of all this - the Garmin GT15M transducer used for regular boats is $149 off the shelf, BUT, to replace the Seadoo unit you need to either get the Seadoo Tranducer off their web site with the modified termination at $449!!!!, OR, you need to get the stock Garmin GT15M for $149, and cut the cables and then splice the proper wires from the $149 Garmin into the existing cables that came on your SeaDoo. SMH!
AND the stock Garmin from the boats has the screw holes om the body that mounts to the hull, in contrast to the FishPro unit. SMH

Antifreeze that is used for RVs. That is the kind that is non toxic to marine life.
