BRP must be waiting for the first person to die. If it simply stopped working in reverse and you could continue in forward, not a terrible thing. It doesn't work that way, you are stranded and the current or wind will control where you go next.
My first time operating my ( used, but thoroughly inspected with 12.7 hours ) 2022 GTX 230, it would not go over 9mph leaving the dock. I could not believe it sucked up anything in only 10 yards. Well, I tried iDF, and problem solved. SO, I’m sold on iDF, but videos like these are educational and informative.
Is there a specialty tool that's needed to remove the output sleeve that attaches to the crankshaft? Do you happen to have a pic of what sticks out of the PTO Cover Hole that goes to the crankshaft? Thanks for the help
So in trying to fix something that was a rare problem, they created a much bigger and repetitive problem? Sounds like our GOV. Is there a delete available for this yet? I had just started looking for a unit to fish off of, and fortunately some random person put in their ad, “no IDF to worry about in this model.” So that’s how I found you, trying to figure out what they were talking about. I really wanted one to go offshore, right now I wouldn’t buy one period. Thanks for the video!
Mine is in the shop now for idf stuck on Engaging… hopefully its a easy fix…
Cool video, someone , needs to build a IDF Delete, such a sensitive part that is putting people in a position to be stranded offshore
😎

@@SaltyDogPerformanceoooo. I like the subtle emoji. I take it as you’re making one…
I’m curious is it a different pto? Can you just switch it over and disable it in buds ? I hate that it’s on every ski now .

Yes there is a specialty tool.
Is it possible to remove the IDF system?
Yes but it’s not the easiest process. I’ll be putting a video out on that soon.

Can you test the IDF out of the water or does it have to be in the water?
No you can engage it out of the water.
$700.00 for this part, $700.00 for a IBR, wth Seadoo???
$700 for the IDF gear box assembly. Yes.
