Great Video, however when trying to add Avid Control in the EU settings on my MacBook Pro M1 Max running Sonoma 14.6.1 (from my iPad Air 3rd Gen running iPadOS Version 18) the EuControl Settings App freezes (beachball) every time on my Mac. I haven't upgraded to macOS Sequoia 15.0 yet, being unsure if Digital Performer 11.3 will get along with it.
Thank you , David, for this great tip! Unfortunately, it seems that Avid Control, in my iPad Pro with iOS 16.6, can't seem to connect with my WiFi although my Mac(s) and the iPad are certainly on the same network. In the Mac, EuControl doesn't display anything in the All Surfaces list. Is there some fairy dust that has to be sprinkled somewhere?
No idea. That's really strange. But it seems like the root problem is the iPad not connecting to the right wi-fi network, so I'd focus in on that. (Not EuControl, which is guaranteed not to work if you're on the wrong wi-fi network.) Try troubleshooting the wi-fi settings of the iPad with Apple or on Apple Discussions.
Done, in my particular case, the bonjour service was disabled, I enabled it and then I uninstalled Eucontrol because it didn't open and I made a clean installation, then finally it appeared opened and my tablet was detected there
I am curious about one thing: A lot of composers especially for orchestra soundtracks use faders to control the instruments velocity etc. But those controllers are hardware + wired. I am curious if using this tool over wifi is still "stable" and "reliable" while having no noticable input lag :) Maybe you or someone else in the comments has some experience?
Sounds good! Excellently presented. Any idea why AVID are giving it away for "free"? I know it eats up time you'd probably prefer to spend on something else, but it might be worthwhile creating a version for PC users (maybe Cubase??), in case there are any PC vs. Mac gotchas
Always very helpful videos over here. Thanks.
Many thanks for this David. All sucessfully installed and working with Cubase. Tomorrow, I will also try and set it up for Ableton Live
Thanks David!
Thank U very much My Friend

Can anyone confirm that this works for reaper?

The only part that would be unique to Cubase would be configuring Cubase to look for a EuCon control surface, which is probably just a click or two.
