We're glad that you've followed our series of puzzles and clues that span the centuries to ultimately lead you to this UA-cam video. Now, your final test: What's a five letter word that would unlock your heart? (we don't have the answer, just curious)

  • @RobertHartleyGM
    @RobertHartleyGM 5 місяців тому +21911

As an ancient historian myself, I actually know what happened here. The answer to the puzzle was originally Aurum but the maker forgot the answer and had to reset it. He put in gold but it wasn't long enough, as per the password requirements. So he had gold1 for a few years but forgot it again. He tried changing it to aurum but it said 'can't be the same as a previous password' so he tried gold2 but the requirements had now been changed again and needed a special character.

Not only are Chris jack shannon and Zach great actors, but the cgi guy Lane deserves a lot of credit too IMO.
I like how the text overlaid is in the “history channel mystery movie” font.
I think the work he does is honestly great and a lot better than productions with a far bigger budget.
Obviously the CGI doesn’t look peefextly realistic, but it has a feel to it that makes it fit in really seamlessly.
Often low budget CGI looks terrible and out of place, but in every single one of these videos the CGI complements the story and feel of the video perfectly.
It doesn’t feel like it’s “floating” in the foreground, it feels like it’s an actual part of the video, and I know how hard that is to accomplish.
All in all just want to thank all the men and women who act and make these.
Whenever a new one comes out it’s the highlight of my morning.
They can be serious, but without being boring or ridiculous, and when they’re silly they’re enjoyable and not “cringe”.
Often the premise of a sketch is interesting but the performance lets it down or the premise can’t hold up a full five minute video.
Often when I watch a short released by a channel and go and watch the full video, it feels like they had one funny idea and it wasn’t enough to hold up a full video.
Not with these guys; Every time I watch the short and then go to the full skit, I’m pleasantly surprised by how many funny and entertaining ideas they can get out of a simple premise.
Honestly these videos should be used as teaching material for aspiring comic writers.
It never feels like they’re desperately trying to milk a funny idea dry (which a lot of sketch channels on UA-cam often feel like), rather they have a great idea and just bounce more and more funny and inventive stuff off of it.
I rarely leave these videos feeling like it went on for too long and nearly always finish the video wanting more, and that’s the perfect way to do it.
A lot of comedy feels preachy or politicised (not even that I disagree with all the political messaging in modern comedy - just that instead of using the story to convey a message they do it in a tactless and overt way; stories are all inherently political to a degree, however nowadays I feel like political messaging is conveyed in a much less nuanced, entertaining and artistic way) and these guys are a refreshing break from that.
These guys (men and women) are professionals and I just wanted to say thank you.
Really really good stuff and I hope you get the recognition you deserve.

@@billbill6094 Oooh, yea, I totally get what you mean. Like, coming onto it completely naturally feels awesome. Like, I was showing all my friends and family going "Hey, look at these funny guys!" not even realizing one of them has been one of the most prolific voices of my childhood. I still, to this day, re-watch ATLA. I'm confident I have watched the series over 100 times now. It felt EVEN BETTER when I found out who he was. It was like I just happened to stumble upon someone I found familiar but didn't quite recognize, like an old friend. "Oh wow! These guys are hilarious!" Years go by, "Hmm, I wonder if they have done anything else, lemme look it-... no fucking way..." Genuinely, one of the coolest things I found out is someone I used to hear ALL THE TIME has an amazing channel that I just so happened to find, not because one of them was Sokka, but because they were genuinely super fucking funny...
