Wow, I didn't even notice that the first image that flashes is Marika destroying the ring at the very beginning, and the second flash that follows is Radagon switching over in an attempt to fix the ring.
From what I read Marika is Radagon, as much as Radagon is Marika; interchangeable. At the end when we enter the final boss room, we clearly see a woman suspended by the ring in the air, it's Marika. Then she falls, but Radagon is the one rising. "It" changes to either She, or He whenever the situation demands it, looks like.

I killed that fucker after an hour or so, but lost 5k runes because I forgot to pick them up trying to kill the damn thing. Only reason I was there because I got sidetracked looking for the Demi-human queen's staff for my mage/spellblade build
2:15:20 It totally is open world though. So I don't get Max's comment here. There's some linearity in the main quest but there are so many hidden areas, dungeons, caves and even massive lands that people don't even realize exist because you have to explore, do a puzzle or beat optional bosses to unlock giant areas. It's great.
I think its exactly because of the exploration element that he thinks that. Nowadays the standard rule of elements that about every open world game uses, doesn't give reason for exploring because everything is already presented to you with markers.

@@tjreardon8495 are you using the counter mechanic and the horseback fighting? You need to learn those, I didn't find anything particularly hard in Limgrave, I have not yet progressed further so I don't know if it gets harder.
The pure irony that I paused a second or two before the bear attack and went to go play myself then ran into the same enemy, killed him, and nearly shit myself. Luckily, I didn't die from it but it did chase me about half-way to the seaside cliff bonfire.
I enjoy watching a video when you do the fight game fighting games I've been watching for a long time so thank you for letting me watch your video God-bless you
"I like that there's like tatical music when you're fighting people and then when you're done, it goes away" ... Well, that's literally been most action-RPGs for the past couple of decades. I remember that in Morrowind XD I'm really glad I never played the network test, I think people that did don't think outside of the starting area enough and need to explore more of the OPEN world they've got access to. Darriwil seems like the kind of boss you don't want setting the pace in the fight. I think it's a bit like Gascoigne in Bloodborne, punishing you for trying to play cautious and keep your distance. You see, Max's plan hinged on the bear and soldiers fighting... they didn't. There was no in-fighting with the bear and soldiers XD I hope Max gets a chance to skip the legacy bosses of the Limgrave area and actually see other places he might not realize are open to him right away. I always hate when Max tries to describe Dark Souls lore, because it's that fantastical and epic while not sounding that completely nonsensical. I'm also not sure how cosmic horror beings from beyond space and time is somehow more grounded than a pantheon of gods that gained power and created a civilization that's now crumbling because you can't keep anything forever. I literally think there's not major differences in the suspension of disbelief factor and entirely just the "style" that he doesn't care for. I'm so glad Max decided to ramp up 20 Vigor, while still being one or two-shot by most enemies =P
Yeah he had a lot of somewhat stupid takes in this video. I especially agree with you on the Dark Souls and Bloodborne comments. Glad to see someone else agrees
@@TREVORVADER He's not really a fantasy fan and doesn't like how it's delivered. He claims it's different in bloodborne when it really isn't. Remove the cosmic horror context and you get the same basic idea. Powerful being beyond human measure orchestrated things in the world, that world is now crumbling and you have to fight them to set things right again or at least stop it from getting much worse. The difference... octopus monsters are cooler than dragons... that's literally what his take on the lore and settings amounts to =P

It’s like every souls game….. not really “hard” when you realize it’s more about playing the game patiently.
I've played most other souls game I get that these games are slow but the early parts seemed more about sneaking around and running than the combat these games are known for however I got my first legacy dungeon and have been hooked sense
@@tjreardon8495 are you using the counter mechanic and the horseback fighting? You need to learn those, I didn't find anything particularly hard in Limgrave, I have not yet progressed further so I don't know if it gets harder.
Most of the areas you can leave and come back to later when you're higher level. Makes this much easier than a lot of other from soft games.
Lmao yo my mans on the horse chased you into church. Shit crazy.
Side dungeons/caves lowkey remind me of the chalice dungeons, loved those
*gets knocked off his magical horse, screams in terror, begs for mercy not to be killed*
Max: “I liiived, bitch.”
Wow never seen the tree sentinel chase u down and destroy the church lmao 🤣
He wanted that ass bro!
So I started wretch and didn't know you just walk away from the tree sentinel... Took me five hours to finally kill him, but it was worth it lol
Got a nice halberd for it
Juat started watching I hope he falls for the Caelid chest trap
The pure irony that I paused a second or two before the bear attack and went to go play myself then ran into the same enemy, killed him, and nearly shit myself. Luckily, I didn't die from it but it did chase me about half-way to the seaside cliff bonfire.
49:24 “Drop something! I’ll make you into soup!”
I remember that in Morrowind XD
I'm really glad I never played the network test, I think people that did don't think outside of the starting area enough and need to explore more of the OPEN world they've got access to.
There was no in-fighting with the bear and soldiers XD
I hope Max gets a chance to skip the legacy bosses of the Limgrave area and actually see other places he might not realize are open to him right away.
The difference... octopus monsters are cooler than dragons... that's literally what his take on the lore and settings amounts to =P
man Max really thought that network test was a Demonof the real game lol
Flasks get replenished, thinks a woman is speaking to him lol
2:58:50
Nah that was too great. Max is a masterclass in timing I swear.
A man who specializes fighting games will find the best timing to be able to punish. I’m ever so glad I stumbled upon it
“Now that I know there’s nothing else in here..” FIRE ARROWS FIRE ARROWS FIRE ARROWS
Full playthrough, this is going to be like 27 parts lol
Rewatching this Masterpiece of a Playthrough 😎
Max: Damn there s so many Places i can go and things i can frickin do
Me: Yeah that this Game in a Nutshell
Yes
You be first comment so ill be the first like
still the hypest, and only youtube intro i really like to see every time :D
Some of these music cues sound exactly like the ones on the mission Halo in Combat Evolved when you see the banshees come in after the escape pod
Taking a look back made some major mistakes...like skipping that cave..among other things...messing with the large horse knight was another problem!
Nice to see a playthrough, as so many people have got early access, but haven't seen a thing about the gameplay, outside of very brief snippets of the game! :D
I dont like how the narrator was talking to me... "RISEEEE ye tarnished!!!! Ye piece of SHIT!!!!!"
Just bought it today after watching this. I may have overdrafted my bank but it was worth it
Yeah, I've heard that whispery voice when I get a health replenish, too. It sounds as though they're saying "Grace."
Is this is a video game playthrough or a comedy special? This is so much fun and so much humour.
Thanks for uploading this video.
ahh the bloodhound blade, one of my fav blades that I still use.
3:18:30 I've been running a Str and Fth character for my first playthrough and I've been having a great time. Incantations and strength and/or faith-scaling weapons are pretty fun. I've also pumped points into every stat. Most weapons only seem to require 20-30 in a stat to wield.
