Wow that was helpful guys! I am planning my first ever salt water trip as I started just three years ago with fly fishing and will go to Maledives too or los roques. Good guys ...big worry is the chaffed inner thighs...what brand of tights do you recommend and should I take some anti chafing cream?
you should definitely take a can of nivea creme.. any tights will do
12wt isn't enjoyable to cast, 8wt is sufficient for giant trevally unless you heavily rely on rod power while fighting it.
