Jeffrey Foskett passes at 67 from thyroid cancer.. The work Jeff did over the years providing such sweet sounds, often covering for Brian or Carl, can never be credited enough. Even the stage positioning, in vids like this, allowing Brian to take the crowd's 'vocal bow', even though nearby Jeff was doing the 'heavenly high' vocal work. Jeff..you will always be one of the Beachboys to me. Brian's closest stage ally. Thank you and Godpeed. r.i.p. sir.
RIP, a wonderful man with a wonderful voice. I was at a Brian Wilson show once and Jeff was the highlight of the show, such energy and positive vibrations from him all through the show. Stayed after shaking hands with anyone who was hanging by the scene. 🙁
Rest In Peace Jeffrey Foskett...such an incredible voice and integral part of Brian's return to the stage. I feel so lucky to have seen "Pet Sounds" performed live with Brian, Jeffrey and the incredible band back in 2005 at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. Easily one of my favorite concerts of all time.
I think that Jeff likes taking his low profile. His voice is indispensable. In fact he often emcees the group's introductions. But he doesn't seek the spotlight. Nor wish to get top billing as Brian, Mike, Al, David and Bruce do. He's a true trooper! I respect that!
The Beach Boys are : Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, David Lee Marks AND last but not least Jeff Foskett. Honorable mention: Glen Campbell. So somebody please tell Wikipedia that Jeff Foskett is one of The Beach Boys. Thank you.
What a wonderful band and a wonderful man you are a true friend to all of us and we will always love each and every one on the band thank you all for the awesome music cause you guys rock.
Jeff was awesome on tour and he has contributed now to the bands success. He had instrumental parts in Isn't It Time and That's Why God Made the Radio. If it wasn't for his falsettos I just don't think the album that came out in 2012 would be a Beach Boy sounding album...
jeff foskett performed wotj Papa Doo Run Run at the RISING SUN NAVY BEAN FESTIVAL around 2008. A great talented musician that was very down to earth and a wonderful human beiing. RIP jeff
"Jeff is more a Beach Boy than David or Bruce." WRONG! I like Jeff and yes he should be considered the 8th Beach Boy. He still joined decades after Bruce and David. Not to mention David Marks was on the first 4 or 5 albums with them when Al wasn't he IS! an original member!
Jeff has been a mainstay since 1981 replacing Carl when he went solo. IMO, BJ's input into the bands portfolio is a negative. DM of course had an early influence, but many minor fans for years thought DM and AJ were the same person! But I digress. I stand by the fact that Jeff has put more into the BB than the other 2 guys mentioned.

I was lucky enough to see Jeff on this tour at Bethel Woods. What a great musician !
The voice behind the beach boys in later years
RIP Jeff a true underrated legend 🕊️
He was a great soul too.
Rest in Peace Jeff. Us Beach Boys fans will always remember you.

RIP Jeff. Met you in 2008 at a private David Marks show in London, with my Dads band called the ladykillers. Thank you for being so kind.
RIP Jeff. Thanks the awesome talent you brought to The Beach Boys over the years. 🙏

Don't forget Blondie Chaplin, Ricky Fataar, and Billy Hinsche
Jeff is a great guy. I'm sure he's one of the reasons that keep Brian going!
Guilherme Peternelli yeah he is awesome
I saw these guys in concert in 1979 with my first and last love ❤️
Spoke with Jeffrey and he is a verry kind man and what i voice!
Jeff is THE voice of the Beach Boys as we knew them !
Fabulous singer rip sadly missed

What a wonderful band and a wonderful man you are a true friend to all of us and we will always love each and every one on the band thank you all for the awesome music cause you guys rock.
Jeff was the best imitator of Brian's voice. A few slight intonation problems here and there... but still excellent. RIP Jeff.
Mike Love's appearance in this video literally made me lol

John Cowsill on drums.
Jeff's vocal and songwriting talents far exceed those of the Beach Boys. Get his solo albums, they are nearly perfect.
@Gazpatcho8- Yeah. Backup singer. Right. Okay.
What guitar is Jeff playing in this vid? Thanks.
An Epiphone 12 String
LoL ... a back-up singer? LoL ... he has been a fixture with the BB and BW since 1981! Even when Carl was healthy JF would sing important LEADS.

WTF are you saying. Use words please.
David was an original member and was on the first four albums, far more significant than jeff who is probably a nice guy but just a back up singer.
For those that have not heard the news, Jeff left BW for ML's cover band.
Jeff is more a Beach Boy than David or Bruce.
