The Beach Boys are so important. Let’s all thank god they exist and that they have blessed us with their music and brought us happiness and will do so forever. Because great music never dies.
In 1969 all my friends wanted to listen to Hendrix, Led Zep, Neil Young. But there was a Beach Boys album, I said, "I like this!" In November '74 I saw them in Mad Sq Garden (thinking they were over). Their second song was "Catch A Wave" - the whole Garden stood up and sang along the whole song.
