My childhood home was being renovated and had been gutted inside down to the frame. The owners were okay with me photographing it, my photographer said “lets use this song to base a shoot on.” ABSOLUTELY GOLD
This song is so good to the point where I can't even do anything while I listen to it. I can usually listen to music while I'm working and still be focused, but this song gives me the strong urge to just sit down and close my eyes while it's playing. It's borderline hypnotic.
Honestly this is the first time I’ve watched the video because I usually zone out.

Im so glad that my favorite band of all time "Deftones" has spawned a new generation of great bands that have a distinctive and complex sound. This is a tribute to the masterful job done 25 years ago that i always hoped that it could have its own genre. Sleep token, invent animate, loathe even spiritbox to an extend.

Heavener gave me the same feeling The Amulet by circa survive gave me when I first heard it. It’s wormed its way into my every day. I catch myself singing a chorus, a bridge, air guitaring a certain riff. In a different aspect, every listen feels deeply personal. The way the guitarist convey the lyrics with impressive riffs for each song. The drums and bass holding each song together while everyone else frankly goes off the deep. Also very much reminds me of underoath album lost in the sound of separation. Been listening to metalcore and its sub-genres etc for 20 years and this is one of the few albums that just reaches in me and makes itself at home.

Like the album just hits and has everything I could ever want in an album. Sure other great bands are releasing great music too, but this one just hits more, it has that sound I was looking for/wanting. It's hard to express into words lol

I’ve just never connected with a band and their work so deeply…the art direction, themes, the writing, the lyrics and the mood…it’s just overwhelming how beautiful and well crafted their art is. You can see hear and feel the emotions that are displayed here and throughout their discography, but I feel we just reached the apex. This is is so powerful, and illuminating. I can’t wait to see them on their headliner.

Love the use of the synth arpeggios here. Definitely laying into more of that softer than weve gone before aspect of their latest LP.
Also love to hear Marcus exploring more of his softer range here. So impactful when paired with belting, mixed voice, sing screams, and harsher styles and vice versa.
This a direction I hope they continue to explore whilst also maintaining and continuing to explore the heavier elements as well.
I wonder if this hint of a deluxe edition or only a one off? If so Im excited to hear what else didnt make the cut. Also surprised the title track is a b side (or a bside at all?!), thats a first I dont think Ive quite seen before.

When you think Heavener is the peak of metal from recent times then they release HEAVENER. I was a little sceptical about enjoying this song as much as their latest album because they had set the bar so high. Incredibly atmospheric, ambient and emotive. BLOWN AWAY. Invent Animate are the best !

I owe a lot to this song. I wasn't really vibing Heavener (the album) when it first came out. I was in Sleep Token brain rot at the time, and I overlooked a lot of other metalcore albums that were coming out. But when they dropped this song, I decided to check it out and was FLOORED. All of a sudden the rest of the record finally clicked, and I am OBSESSED. Like goddamn Heavener slaps!
