This song is the perfect example of what Invent Animate is about. It has aspects from their fast, heavy, slower and emotional songs all in one. There's a ton to dissect here, insane song for being a random unexpected single. It's obvious how a band like this won metalcore's AOTY last year. Been here since Everchanger dropped, it's insane to hear how y'all have grown and improved. God tier band.
Some of Marcus' best screams, great performance. "Tasting what is tasteless, facing what is faceless" love that line/pattern. I'm looking out for March 2024, the year anniversary of Heavener if they end up doing a deluxe version like Erra did for their self-titled featuring new tracks.

I constantly think I’m still in a coma, and the life I live now is just some different reality I made up. I still think one day I’m going to wake up and everything I know now was never even real. This song describes this perfectly.
I'm always down for more Invent Animate! Somehow the ambience, riffs & structure remind me of Stillworld. I love all the elements of their music. Also, neat color palette for the video.

this is insane. 2023 was absolutely the year of invent, and if they keep this up it could shape up to be their decade. releasing something like this after heavener (both the song and the album) just proves that they can keep momentum and continuously improve on their sound. if this ends up being a part of a deluxe album, heavener could be AOTY two years in a row, and if they manage to do big projects every two to even four years it would be worth every second of the wait. this is an incredible band and all they deserve all the recognition they can get.

The breakdown after 'Descend' Marcus cleans are haunting AF i like what he did there, the expeimentation with that type of stuff is brilliant. I love Everchanger and Stillworld, and I wasnt convinced by the change of vocalist, but this is truly great and reminds me of the Invent Animate I loved
I've never been more impressed. In this song you can actually feel, not feel a single thing, but just feel it, in a way it stops being a song and turns into a whole different new universe.

@@jaakezzz_G Honestly I agree to an extent. I really love Stillworld and Everchanger. Compared to the newer albums like Heavener and Greyview it was definitely a better style for them imo. I love both new albums but those first two were something else. Luna, Sol and Dead Roots are still my favorite songs by them by a long shot.
