I built one like this so that the mice and squirrels could have a nice carport to overwinter in the engine compartment of my pickup truck and tractor.

The pros I've seen always use ratchet straps (lots) to pull the frame members into PERFECT alignment and leave them on until the steel is affixed. At that point, when the ratchet straps are removed, the building stays in perfect alignment.

I KNOW THAT FEELING ALL TOO WELL. MORE TIMES THAN NONE ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING I KNOW MY FATHER WOULD KNOW RIGH OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD. THEN SIT HERE KNOWING THE ANSWER WAS A SIMPLE PHONE CALL. OR HE'D STOP BY AND RESOLVE EVEN SIMPLE ISSUES. SOMETIMES I FIND MYSELF REACHING FOR THE PHONE ONLY TO REALIZE HE'S GONE. DUDE IT REALLY SUCKS. LOSING MY MOST VALUABLE TEACHER. IF I HAD TO ASK MY MOTHER I'D GET THE WRONG ANWSER AFTER A MONTH OF HER PLAYING BLINDFOLDED IN A BLACK CAVE. THERE ARE SOME THINGS ONLY MY DAD COULD ANSWER. AND IF HE COULDN'T HE HAD SO MANY FRIENDS I ALWAYS GOT AN ANSWER. AND NOW THE PHONE NEVER RINGS UNLESS ITS SOMEBODY NEEDING MY HELP. WHICH I'D ALWAYS DROP WHAT I WAS DOING TO GO. IF I CALL THEM FOR HELP ITS ALWAYS A DICTIONARY OF EXCUSES. THEN WHEN THE DAY I'M GONE ITS GONNA BE THEY THE ONES DOING THE REGRETTING.

It takes the pros 2 hours to assemble. I have watched many of these videos and the pros are awesome if site is level. They won't assemble if not level. I helped my brother build one last Saturday. Same runout issue due to not perfectly level. Took 8 hours but alot of dead time milling about etc. We gained 2 inches on one side due to level issue but you cant see it. Turned out great. The first roof panel on top is the most critical. Make sure overlaps are away from prevailing winds as well so rain doesnt blow into the seams.

I used to manufacture these tube and tin buldings. Your snow load is inadequate. Attach a 5/16 or larger cable across just below the bends of the legs. (triangulate the roof). It will triple your snow load. It should get you up to over 30 inches of snow. These things will collapse.

Glad you enjoy them. We had a lot of snow last winter.. for northern Minnesota. The ribs on the roof do not allow the snow to slide off which I don't care for. I have 2 of them and I've never shoveled them off. A month ago I did put a heavy ratchet strap across from the center top of one wall to the other just in case to give it more strength.

We hired a company that does many of these everyday. I watched 3 workers put up our 18x21 with 2 roll up garage doors from 7pm to 11pm 100% complete. Then I watched this video and I could see that it’s not easy if you’ve never done it or watched someone do it before. First thing they expected before they got to ours was a flat surface and electrical since they ac powered screw guns. Second thing they did was checked the level made adjustments and spiked it it. From there they took off. Lists of little tricks along the way I just noticed and it was common sense to them. Ours cost about $4000 for everything including labor.

I've needed some type of shed for about 20 years and still haven't gotten one built. I've gotten by all these years without so I figured I will make it another. LOL!!
One of those would go up quick compared to the shed I would like to build. The only difference is I have everything except the steel for the roof and the screws and a few bolts for it. Just a lot more work.

Measuring opposite corner to corner will keep you square for the bases. Don't need level so much because the frost is going to push it anyway. But, it's up! lol. I would be afraid that the Minnesooota winter snow load will be a problem on that structure. I had one collapse here in Pa, and we don't get anywhere near the snow you guys get.
