- Welcome to a morning of homemaking in our household. Homemaking is so much more than cooking, cleaning, and managing the home. Jani Ortlund once said, “Our homes, imperfect as they are, must be a haven from chaos outside. They should be a reflection of our eternal home, where troubled souls find peace, weary hearts find rest, hungry bodies find refreshment, lovely pilgrims find communion, and wounded spirits find compassion.” To me, this is what homemaking is all about.

1 cup hot water
2.5 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 stick melted butter
1 tsp salt
1 egg + 1 egg white (save yolk for egg wash after risen)
3.5 cups flour (unbleached all purpose) (I also love 2 cups all purpose 1.5 einkorn)
Egg Bake:
12 eggs
2 big scoops sour cream
1/4 cup milk
Chopped peppers, mushrooms, onion
1 pound sausage (cooked)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup cheese

I am a empty-nester of 4 ... l miss them so much, some days, as little ones. My only goal and dream was to be a momma and God blessed me with that dream.

That's great. I'm a dietitian and I just want people to know about the higher amount of lead when you use hot water straight out of the tap if they have older pipes w/ lead. I know some people have older lead pipes and don't know that. Anyway, I do love your channel and your sweet spirit.

I have to work outside of the home to help provide for our family, so I can really get a little overwhelmed with homemaking. Although being a full time homemaker is my calling, it is not possible for us. This is a good reminder to me to try to push through the fatigue from the workday and really make the most of my home making and being a wife and mother in general❤
You are doing awesome! It is hard to go to work and have to get everything done. Give yourself lots of grace! Some days are so hard, and we can only get our strength through Christ. Even if your family doesn't always notice your hard work and sacrifice, He does! You got this, keep going! 🥰
I love these videos. ❤ just FYI.. hot water from the tap carries more lead. So it's best to get cold and heat it.
Interesting. We had our well water tested and it didn't show lead, so I'm hoping we are in the clear 🤞

What a blessing it is to watch you! I'm 63 and finally able to retire from my job. I always dreamed of being a fulltime homemaker but the Lord had other plans for me. I was able to stay home for about 4 years with my youngest child (she's 35 now). I loved ever minute of homemaking but financially I needed to help my husband. Praise God, with the profession He placed me in I have a great pension and can now care for my 3 year old granddaughter while her mommy works. I can embrace homemaking once again ! Its wonderful that you are inspiring a whole new generation to love their home and family ❤❤❤
Ahh what a beautiful story! Yes, sometimes God calls us to different jobs and tasks at hand, yet caring for your family at home has come back around for you. I love that you are able to watch your granddaughter. That is a blessing very much for her as it is for you. ❤️

I baked 2 traditional loaves for 30 minutes covered with foil and removed the foil for the last additional 5 minutes.
I shared the recipe with my friend and she plans on making it too . She sprouts her own grain and also mills it.
It’s so fun to experiment with different types of bread baking!

It’s very easy for people to say mommy’s stay at home with your babies. For some moms this is not an option due to financial reasons. I have 2 babies 4 and 2 with another due in 6 weeks. I already have anxiety about taking time off work for maternity leave. I an grateful that here we get 6 months paid maternity leave but my family needs 2 incomes in order to pu food on the table and have kids in daycare in this country is expensive but have no option but to have full time work. I would love to be able to stay home and keep my house and babies at home but not an option at this stage.m
I tried bread and oven won’t allow it …tried for 4 years and it’s the thermostat…
I can seem to make a pizza crust great one by manipulating the position to the bottom of oven and then raised to top once toppings added.
Interesting! That is so frustrating. At least you've figured out pizza with it!
